The Silver Skeleton.

~The Sacred Stone Tavern~

"The innkeeper will know who you're talking about," The woman said. She took a step away and made for the door. The woman looked back at the tavern one last time and locked eyes with Noctis by chance. Noctis smiled, and felt herself literally floating in the air.

Noct looked to Senthose, "I'll be back." With that, Noct flew over to the woman with what seemed like practiced ease. The woman returned Noct's smile, and exited the tavern, beckoning Noct to follow. She did, closing the door behind them.

Jeanne noticed that Euryale, curtsy and all, was ignored, and frowned, "Uh, so, Euryale. What brings you this way?" She asked, not noticing that she was floating about a foot above her seat.

Iliad, also flying, looked over at Senthose, "So, Senthose, Noctis speaks quite highly of you. How did the two of you meet?"

OOC: Rygar receives Map of Fares.

Madge nodded, rolling up the map again, "Quite. Just make sure that you get all of them." Madge handed Rygar the map, "If you don't route out the problem then they'll just come back. Not exactly a fair trade if they do now, is it?" Madge motioned to an extremely large white rock in the wall, "You can leave whenever you're ready, but I'd suggest paying your respects to the relic before you head out. It is always kind to an honest dwarf."

Patty smiled, "A healer you say? Here in Fares we have a high opinion of those who dedicate their lives to helping others. You'd do well to introduce yourself as such, you'll find the shopkeepers kinder to you for it... Just don't tell'em I told you."

Namond:< Really? Why thanks for telling me. Now, is there anything of interest going on around here?>

OOC: Score!

*Marcus watches as Noct follows the woman, not being to help the bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Nonetheless, it wasn't his problem, that's why she had guards with her. He sits down nearby the notice board and watches the crowd, focused on the royal squad, strongly considering offering them the job.*

Rygar: "Heh, honest dwarf, right."

*Rygar puts the map in his pack and heads over to the stone. He looks it over. He never really was one for this crap.*

E"Oh, I pretty much just left my temple & started heading in a random direction. I figured I'd let myself be guided by Sarenrae. Or random chance. You know, whichever."

*She takes a drink.*

S"We went to college together. What about you? I'm not sure that she mentioned you, explicitly."

"I think Noct wouldn't like it if you spoke of her grand conquests, Senthose, not without her around to boast about them herself" Levin moved closer to the sort of gathered group in order to keep a better eye on things.

Cale is floating around the tavern with the giggles, bouncing off things and playing some pranks on the customers.


Verano fends off the flying halfling with his mug.

~The Sacred Stone Tavern~

Patty nodded, and pointed to the bulletin board where a broody human with white hair was brooding, "You can find out a lot at the bulletin board. Everything from rumors, to odd jobs. It is a good way to get some interesting work, and a bit of coin to boot."

As Rygar gets closer he feels good, damn good in fact, better than he has ever felt, and it only gets better the closer he gets.

"I've met her at social gathering over the years," Iliad said, "You'd be surprised who they allow into galas so long as you clean up well. That said, I don't think I have to explain how Noctis reacts to girls who clean up well."

Jeanne tried her best to ignored the implications being implied at the other end of the table, "I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you are a follower of Sarenrae. I am a bit surprised you're a monk dedicated to her. Most monks I meet follow their own code, and are only worried about their own body."

*Senthose somehow manages to keep his smile from faltering.*

S"Yes, but I wouldn't know how you react to...that."

E"I was raised in the temple. It seems that would be rather ungrateful of me."

Namond:<Thank you very much.>

*Namond bows slightly to Patty and flies over to the bulletin board*

Namond:[So, what's of interest over here?]

*Marcus watches as the Gnome comes to the board.*

Marcus: "If you're looking for work, I'm recruiting to deal with the Silver Skeleton."

*Rygar gets all tingly.*

Rygar: "I hate when the gods prove me wrong."

"Well at least you're being honest about it. We should tell Noct she's a keeper."

~The Sacred Stone Tavern~

Madge looks out at Rygar, "Well then, go on... Touch it."

Jeanne nodded, "So, you were actually raised by priests? Life must have been interesting. I lived at a temple for three years and still felt like an intruder by the time my life there was done, like I didn't really know everything about them. I bet you can walk into a church and feel right at home." She began to notice that she was beginning to tip to one side, and tried to right herself, but only made things worse, causing her to become fully horizontal in the air. With a small chuckle, she figured it would probably be best if she just tried to keep her drink from spilling.

Iliad smiled, "When your queen comes onto you, you don't really turn her down, if that is what you're asking. If not for her, then for the perks that come along with it. That said," She looked over at Levin, "Noctis is a queen, a deserves a fair bit of respect, so how about we don't try and act like we're in a position to advise her on 'matters of the heart'." She looked back at Senthose, "All in all, I react well to anyone who cleans up well."

*Namond glides over to Marcus*

Namond:<Really? This sounds like just the thing I was looking for.>

*Namond holds out his hand to shake*

Namond:< I'm Namond Kronuion.>

E"I don't know. I've stopped by a lot of temples on the way. And I'd have to say, there is no place like home."

S"Anyone, you say."

E"Oh, are you trying to get her a job at the Capitol?"

S"...Yes. That is exactly what I am doing. You saw right through my clever ruse."

*Rygar kept his tongue, instead of cursing out Madge. He presses his hand against the stone and starts praying.*

*Marcus shakes the hand of the floating Gnome.*

Marcus: "A pleasure. Marcus Draco. And what can you do my levitating friend?"

"I respect her enough to give her my honest opinion and not bullshit. That's the highest honor I can give her."

~The Sacred Stone Tavern~

OOC: Rygar, being a Dwarf worshiping Torag, gains the effect of Stone Tell. He can use it once at any point within the next three days.

Rygar feels himself swell with power. As he pulls away his hand he feels a closeness to the stone, almost as if he can understand them.

Iliad chuckled a bit, "Yes, anyone. You seem shocked."

Jeanne tried to drink the rest of her drink without spilling it, and continued to ignore the implications. Iliad looked over at her, "You know, you get a little crease in between your eyebrows when you try to ignore me."

"You don't know me," Jeanne replied.

"I spent the past month with you," Iliad countered, "We're like best friends."

Namond:<What, don't think I'm up for the challenge?>

*Namond laughs*

Namond:<Seriously now, I'm primarily a caster, but I'm not to shabby with weapons ether. My spells are more support based then attack. And of course illusions, since I am a gnome.>

*Namond thinks for a second*

Namond:<That's all I can think of right now. I don't think I missed anything.>

*Senthose glances briefly at Levin.*

S"Let me know how that works out."

*He then looks back.*

S"Call it relief. You know...Jeanne, wasn't it? I think she might be onto something. Does our conversation bother you?"

E"Maybe she wanted the job too?"

*Somehow, Senthose keeps a completely straight face, pausing only briefly to take a drink.*

S"I would like to think that it's a very popular position."

"Being honest is better than lying, that's all I'm saying."

*Rygar closes his hand to a fist and stares at it for a moment. He never truly understood the power of the gods, or even magic for that matter, but he couldn’t deny the power behind it. He heads for the exit of the tavern, giving a nod to Madge as he passes.*

Rygar: “Thanks for the help.”

*Marcus smiles and helps Namond stabilize a bit, before he rolls upside down.*

Marcus: “Sounds like you’ll be useful. But, a wandering Gnome and a sword-for-hire are hardly enough for whatever dark magic we’ll be up against. Unless, you’re secretly a demon hunter.”

~The Sacred Stone Tavern~

Iliad mocks concern, "But surely I take precedence. I come with job experience, and referrals from previous employers."

Jeanne frowned, "I don't want the 'job'. I just don't want to listen to you two talk about... business."

"You're struggling with this metaphor, aren't you."

"Its becoming a strain, yes..."

"Oh, before I forget. Honesty isn't always best. I'd wager I've done more good with lies than truth."

"What little good you've done," Jeanne quipped.

"Now you're just being catty," Iliad said.

Before Rygar can exit the tavern, Noct swings the door open, "Marcus!"

*Namond opens his mouth to respond to Marcus, but instead turns towards Noctis*

Namond:[What could the Queen want with this sellsword?]

*Marcus isn't phased and keeps his attention on Namond.*

Marcus: "Uh-oh. Hope I'm not in trouble."

*Rygar stops and hopes nobody noticed him jump a little when the door swung open in front of him. He adjusted his coat and tried to get past the woman.*

Levin merely shrugged, "To each his or her own."
