Old Ones Return

Kylie:<Well, I was walking home from a cafe when I went though this alley like always, and this random Tamer and his digimon surrounded me. I tried to talk my way out of fighting, but it didn't work.>

*Lekismon interrupts*

Lekismon:<Then these two show up.>

*Lekismon points at Hitomi and Taiyo*

<And we all start fighting this guy. This Tamer grabbed by partner, and would have had his digimon kill her if she hadn't shown up.>

*Lekismon now points at Euryale*

<After my Tamer was out of range, we just kinda destroyed the partner digimon. That's pretty much what happened.>

Taiyo: "That's what happened."

Leader<And what about his part of the fight? The Digimon? The cards he used?>

T"I thought you just said you could find that out from the D-Power."

Leader<When we arrived on the scene, it was in pieces.>

*Euryale puts her hands behind her back & whistles innocently.*

Kylie:<I believe he used a digivolution card and a speed boost. What was his partner again?>

Lekismon:<Syakomon.>

Taiyo: "I don't know what he used. Do you, Hitomi?"

Hitomi shakes her head.

"It digivolved to an Octomon."

Leader<Those cards were not in his possession when he was detained.>

*Kylie & Lekismon turn and stare at Hitomi*

Hitomi blinks and looks at Salamon sleeping in her lap.

*The guy with the notepad makes a suspicious-looking stroke with his pen.*

Leader<Is that everything, then?>

Taiyo: "I think so."

Kylie:<I don't think anything else important happened.>

Lekismon:<That's pretty much it.>

*The guy emerges with the D-Powers.*

<I'm finished with them, Sir.>

Kylie:<That was fast!>

Taiyo goes to reclaim hers and Hitomi's.

*In short order, everyone has their D-Powers back. Thiera gingerly slips hers in her pocket, while Euryale clutches hers to her chest with one hand.*

D<Now get lost, jerks.>

*Thiera glares at DemiDevimon, only for her to turn & glare defiantly back.*

D<They tased me!>

Taiyo slumps down on the bench with Hitomi.

Taiyo: "Today hasn't bee very fun."

*Kylie pockets her D-Power, then sits down on the ground next to Lekismin*

<If could have been worse.>

*Euryale waits until the Hypnos guys all file into the van & drive off, then aims a high kick at the tree.*

T"So...how are you, after being tased? Does it hurt?"

D<...Is that a serious question?>

*Thiera turns to the others.*

T"Thank you all, for helping her."

Taiyo: "No problem."

Taiyo looks at Salamon and nudges her who responds with a groan.

Taiyo: "How'd she sleep through all that?"

Kylie:<I wish we could have been more help.>

*Lekismon turns to DemiDevimon*

Lekismon:<I'm glad you're not hurt.>

T"What? What are you talking about?"

D<Bah. If I were Champion level, I'd have sent those losers packing.>

*Euryale slips her shoes off & continues to rhythmically kick the tree.*

Lekismon:<And gotten us all arrested?>

*Lekismon sighs*

<Part of me wishes I had done something more...>

Taiyo watches Euryale. Hopefully it should cheer her up.

*Euryale eventually switches to performing chin-ups with one of the branches, which finally gives Taiyo what she wants.*

T"They definitely would have arrested us. Probably destroyed our D-Powers & sent you back to the Digital World, too. But what is motivating this sudden crackdown on Tamers?"

Taiyo: "Best. Day. Ever."

Hitomi: "Hm?"

Taiyo: "Oh, um...never mind."
