Old Ones Return

E"If he doesn't get caught, then we won't have to."

*Euryale barely suppresses a chuckle.*

Lunamon:<I hope he's a fast runner.>

*Using the elevator, the gang exits the building in time to see the still sheet-swaddled Agumon riding down the stairs on a gurney, using a mop to "row" it. In his wake are a trio of exhausted janitors. When the gurney crashes at the bottom of the stairs, he dives into the bushes, leaving the sheet draped over them to cover his escape. One of the janitors announces that they're going on break, & the trio sits on a bench, doubled-over.*

T"(Should...should we go after him?)"

E"(No, we'll meet him in the park.)"

*Kylie smiles while Lunamon tries not to burst out laughing*

Kylie:<(Then we better hurry.)>

Lunamon:<(That looks kind of fun...)>

Salamon: "Finally! It feels like it's been hours."

E"Surely Agumon wrapped up in a blanket & commandeering a gurney for a hospital escape broke up the monotony at least a little?"

Lunamon:<(I sure wish I had seen the whole thing.)>

Salamon: "That was dumb."

"I thought it was funny. Things have been pretty bleak lately."

*Now in the park, Euryale starts wading into the bushes to find Agumon.*

Taiyo: "How hard is it to find a dinosaur?"

Salamon: "How hard is it to find a bipedal fox?"

Taiyo: "She's very good at hiding."

*Kylie follows the rest of the group. Lunamon wiggles, bored of sitting still*

*They find Agumon not too far in.*

*Lunamon waves at Agumon from Kylie's arms*

Lunamon:<That was AMAZING!>

Taiyo: "So what are we going to do now?"

*Euryale peers through the bushes to find that the park has suddenly been loosely surrounded by black vans.*

E"Looks like they found us."

T"What? How? Why?"

E"Oh, I guess we haven't told you yet about the spy devices they put in our D-Powers."

T"They did WHAT?!"

*Kylie shrugs*

<At least we found Hypnos.>

Taiyo: "Didn't we tell her earlier?"

D<No. No you did not.>

*DemiDevimon is quietly roosting hidden in the tree above.*

E"Well, I guess we should go talk to them."

T"I don't know...."

Salamon: "Well, we should do something. It's not like it'll fix itself."

Lunamon:<Weren't we trying to find Hypnos in the first place? It looks like our lucky day to me.>

*Thiera folds her arms & reluctantly follows everyone out of the bushes. Yamaki & several other Hypnos personnel get out of their vans.*

Kylie:<Um..hello there...>

*Kylie looks nervously down at Lunamon*

The other two follow wordlessly, Taiyo hanging close to Euryale while Hitomi and Salamon follow behind the group.

Yamaki<I heard about your D-Power problems.>

*Euryale lets out a dry laugh.*

E"Then why were you so hard to find?"

Yamaki<To be perfectly blunt, I was hoping you would forget about it on your own. But when you started planning to ambush us during a Wild One Crisis, I decided to intervene before you did something foolish.>

*He withdraws a lighter & clicks the lid.*

Salamon: "That was your brilliant plan?!"
