Old Ones Return

"(How many times do I have to tell you people, I don't work for Hypnos!)"

*At that moment, the doctor who wheeled Euryale into the OR, a young woman with shoulder-length black hair, emerges from the hallway.*

Taiyo stands up and practically rushes the doctor.

Taiyo: "How is she? She's okay, right?"

*Kylie stumbles after Taiyo*

[If she's not ok, I'll never forgive myself.]

*The doctor holds up her arms to keep them from bowling her over.*

<She'll be fine. It was only a moderate stab wound. Still, it was good that she was brought in when she was.>

*Kylie smiles, reassured*

<When can we see her?>

Taiyo: "Can we see her?"

<Sure, but it might be a while yet before she wakes up.>

Taiyo: "That's fine."

Back at the apartment, the door to Taiyo's apartment opens up and a woman in her late thirties to early forties in scrubs looking fairly paniced comes out.

Taiyo's Mom: "Oh, Hitomi. Have you seen Taiyo?"

Hitomi: "She's at the hospital."

Taiyo's Mom: "What? What ha-"

Hitomi: "She's fine. A friend was attacked at the park."

Taiyo's Mom: "Oh, thank goodness. Err...Sorry to hear that. I do wish she'd have called home."

After a moment of awkward silence, the two say farewell and go to their respective homes.

*Kylie nods in agreement to what Taiyo said*

*The doctor lets them in the room where Euryale is sleeping.*

<I'll just leave you alone for a while, while I attend to other patients.>

*She heads out.*

*Kylie goes over to Euryale's bedside*

<(I know you can't hear me...but I'm glad you're alright.)>

Taiyo wipes her eyes on her sleeve.

Taiyo: "Me and Renamon should've been there."

Kylie:<(I would have died if you hadn't shown up before. Damn it..we should have all stuck together....)>

T"No, no, I'm sure...hm...."

*As Thiera is trying to find something to justify everyone's bullshit, there is a tapping at the window--Agumon is standing on the ledge outside, & knocking with his claws.*

*Kylie runs over to the window and tries to open it*

<Glad you came! Are the others with you?>

Taiyo looks to the window where Renamon is not. As it would be safer to avoid densely populated buildings.

*Agumon jumps down.*

A<No, I climbed up. I did pick up him on the way, though.>

*He gestures towards DemiDevimon, who flies into the room.*

D<HER.>

"What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay outside?"

D<You said I couldn't come through the front door.>

Kylie:<Oh ok. The doctor said Euryale's going to be alright.>

Taiyo: "Just didn't say when she'd wake up."

T"So...I heard you were trying to get your D-Power fixed. It's a long shot, but we could try asking at the National Diet Building. Yomaki & I just met at a cafe, but they are a part of the government, so...what do you think?"

*Agumon looks at Euryale. His eyelids droop & he looks away, refusing to answer.*

Kylie:<We should at least try.>

Taiyo just sits by Euryale's bed.

*Euryale stirs, opening her eyes groggily.*

Kylie:<Euryale!>

*Kylie excitedly smiles, happy that she's finally awake*

Taiyo: "Euryale!"
