Old Ones Return

*As promised, the vans drop everyone off at one-way streets near their homes. By this point, it's about 1:30 in the afternoon, & nobody has eaten anything since breakfast.*

Renamon buggers off out of sight.

Taiyo: "I guess we go home."

Lunamon:<Hungry.>

Kylie:<Me too. Wanna get something?>

Lunamon:<Of course!>

*Kylie and Lunamon head into the same cafe they did a few days ago*

*Thiera, of course, had the foresight to give someone her number before they all split up, so Euryale calls her.*

E"Yeah...I'm just gonna wander around aimlessly looking for a food place. If I don't run into you, we can meet somewhere. I have no idea what anyone else is planning. Okay, bye."

*Euryale wanders around aimlessly looking for a food place. Agumon is now Koromon again, & has his ears wrapped around her shoulders, so that he's posing as a very strange-looking backpack.*

Taiyo: "Wanna get something at my place?"

Hitomi: "Your place?"

Taiyo: "Well, I'm normally at your place, so why not change it up?"

Salamon: "This won't end in disaster will it?"

Taiyo: "Only if you let it."

Taiyo tales Hitomi by the hamd amd runs off towards their apartment. Salamon struggling to hold on to Hitomi.

Salamon: "Stop running, damn it!"

*Kylie and Lunamon exit, both holding large sugar cookies*

Lunamon:<Have I mentioned how much I love you?>

Kylie:<Several times. Anyway, what now?>

Lunamon:<We could try and find the others.>

Kylie:<Why not.>

*Kylie and Lunamon head off down the street*

*While Hitomi is being kidnapped, the others run into each other in pretty short order.*

E"Oh, hey. We were just looking for some place to eat."

*Lunamon holds up the remains of her cookie*

Lunamon:<We would have gotten more if we knew we would run into you so soon.>

*Kylie waves*

Kylie:<We should all go get something together.>

E"Uhh...yeah, I was thinking of actual food."

Lunamon:<Cookies are food though!>

Kylie:<I'm definitely still hungry. Anything in particular you're hungry for?>

At Taiyo's place, Hitomi is sitting nervously in the living room, Salamon on her lap.

Salamon: "I expected a lot of cat things. This is strangely...normal."

*Once they've ordered their food & picked it up, Euryale leads them to a booth in the back corner of the restaurant, where they'll be reasonably hidden, so the Digimon can eat. As soon as they get there, Thiera pulls her hood down, allowing DemiDevimon to flop onto the seat & gasp for breath. The hood has twisted her hair around her head in some very strange ways, which she tries to smooth out. Euryale pulls Koromon off of her back & sets him down like a backpack with something valuable in it.*

E"I don't suppose any of you know how to contact Taiyo or...that other one?"

*Lunamon crunches a taco in Kylie's arms*

Kylie:<I should have gotten one of their numbers. Speaking of which, can I trade with you two?>

E"Sure."

T"I don't see why not."

*Koromon reaches up with his ears to grab a burrito. Thiera feeds DemiDevimon cinnamon sticks below the table.*

Kylie:<My number is [Insert Kylie's number here.]

*Kylie takes out her phone, ready to add their numbers*

Renamon enters from Taiyo's room where she had come in through the window as usual. The others are gathered in the living room, eating sandwiches and drinking orange juice.

Taiyo: "Hi, Foxy."

Salamon: "So what do we do next? Besides be listened in on by those Hypnos jerks."

*After they've exchanged, & eaten.*

Euryale: So, now what?

Thiera: I say we start questioning the Digimon who attack us about all of this stuff. We don't need Hypnos to do an investigation.

Kylie:<We kinda already tried that.......>

Lunamon:<It went swimmingly.>

Taiyo opts to stuff their D-Powers into an end table drawer. Even though their jext choice is wholly predictable.

Taiyo: "Go to the park? The others are probably going to be there."

Salamon: "'Cause there's nowhere else in the city to meet. Why bother hiding those if they can already guess that we'll be there?"

Taiyo: "It seemed like a good idea. Maybe so they don't hear you being grouchy and getting us into more trouble like at their headquarters."

Salamon: "Our being there was not my problem. I could've waited outside and not had my fur plucked out. Only what's her name had any reason to be there. Everyone else was either sneezed on, jabbed with a needle, or just there."

Hitomi: "Salamon, enough."

Salamon looks at her partner, shocked. Taiyo and to a lesser extent, Renamon mirror Salamon's expression.

Hitomi: "I apologize for her behavior."

Taiyo: "It's fine?"

Thiera: We never asked any of the Tamers what they know.

After lunch, they head to the park. At the door, Hitomi bows her head.

Hitomi: "Thank you for having us in your home."

Taiyo: "No need to thank me. It's not like it's the first time you've been invited over."

Hitomi: "Yes, but..."

Taiyo: "Don't worry about it."

Kylie:<I suppose it's worth a try.....>

*Kylie shrugs*

E"Well, I guess we could go hunt some of them down."

Lunamon:<All we have to do is walk down the freaking street, and we'll be attacked.>

The four stand about the park.

Taiyo: "Well, they're normally here."
