Old Ones Return

*Angemon is consequently blown flat on his back with a big hole in his side. The newly re-winged Agumon fires a Pepper Breath into it, causing a slight stream of data to pour out of it.*

T"I...I have to get out of here."

*Thiera turns & scampers quickly up the stairs, stumbling near the top.*

Wizardmon<Ugh. It's like being in a hotdog eating contest with a vegan.>

*Kylie runs after her*

Kylie:<Wait!>

*Lekismon sighs*

Lekismon:<Sometimes, I just don't understand Tamers.>

Renamon jumps and attacks with a Diamond Storm.

*Angemon begins dissolving from the chest outward. As a final, desperate attack, he fires a Hand of Fate at Euryale, striking the D-Power in her hand & sending it flying off of the roof.*

E"No!"

Angemon<This wasn't what I had planned, but at least there will be one less human pitting Digimon against one another.>

Wizardmon<Well, come on, we'd better follow them.>

*Meanwhile, Thiera is trying to hail a cab.*

Lekismon:<Alright.>

*Lekismon heads off after the Tamers. Meanwhile, Kylie runs up to Thiera*

Kylie:<Wait stop! You can't just run off without us.>

Renamon takes off pursuing the D-Power. Gatomon absorbs the data.

*Since it's free-falling and faces much less air resistance then Renamon, it has already hit the ground. Its screen has cracked & all of the plastic pieces are now connected by only by flimsy wires. Broken pieces of computer chips ly around it. The screen, displaying Angemon's dissolution, blinks a few times before going dark.*

T"Yes I can! Why shouldn't I?"

*Wizardmon reverts & hangs around in the tunnel, trying to stay out-of-sight in the corner of the doorway to the tunnels, imitating a bat.*

Kylie:<We're supposed to be a team! The 5 of us.>

*Lekismon reverts, but stays out of sight*

Renamon just stares at the broken D-Power then looks back to the roof where Taiyo is looking over the edge.

Taiyo: "Crap..."

*Euryale stares down at it solemnly as Agumon lands beside her.*

A<It's...not that bad. I can still Digivolve to Champion.>

*Euryale looks at him.*

A<Not that I'm saying I don't need you, or anything!>

Kylie:<To..to stop digimon rampaging though the Real World.>

Taiyo: "Do you think it can be fixed?"

E"The only people who might know how to repair it are Hypnos employees."

T"And did you ever think that maybe they only come because of people like us?"

Taiyo: "Thiera's on good terms with them, right? She might help."

Kylie:<What? I don't think most of mean to come here.>

*When Agumon transports them down & Euryale picks the D-Power up, she begins pulling apart the sections & trying to grab something inside.*

A<Be careful, you might break it!>

*Euryale looks at Agumon, who scratches the back of his head. Then she yanks out a tiny microphone.*

E"I thought this is what I saw. But the D-Power can't record or play back sounds on its own, what is this doing in here?"

T"Digimon come here, and find partners. They then attack, and kill other Digimon. So more Digimon come to stop them. Maybe that's what's been happening lately? It doesn't mean much that we stopped Digmon if we were the ones that caused his rampage in the first place, now does it? And what if someone stronger comes to avenge him? Did you think about any of that?"

Kylie:<It's a possibility, but I doubt it's normally the case. Even so, that digimon did say something about us destroying the digital world. And, at the time, I was thinking ore about the four of us getting out of there alive.>

Taiyo: "What is it?"

Taiyo looks at her Digivice then to Hitomi.

Taiyo: "Do all of them have it?"

Hitomi shrugs.

E"I'll bet Hypnos put it in there."

T"Then why? Why else would they be coming here? Something had to have caused it! They aren't coming just to get killed by us!"

Kylie:<Maybe they don't mean to come here! Why would they want to leave their world and come here? Our world kinda sucks.>

Taiyo: "I guess that means they shouldn't put it back together."

E"But nobody else can."

T"Maybe you're ignoring what's right in front of you!"

Kylie:<Which is what?! Stopping digimon from rampaging brings more digimon? What would YOU say we do then? If talking doesn't work.>

Taiyo: "Wouldn't they just put another one of those things in?"

A<If they put stuff in ours, they definitely have more in the rest of yours.>
