Old Ones Return

*Thiera digs out her D-Power & clicks it a few times.*

T"The nearest Tamer is in the downtown area. Next to the shoe store."

*Lunamon jumps out of Kylie's arms*

Lunamon:<It's adventure time! Let's go!>

Salamon: "Whatever."

*As they walk, since they're going downtown, the crowd gets thicker, with a lot of people giving the Digimon weird looks. The Tamer is on the move, down the road in the same direction they're going.*

*Lunamon pretends to be a plush*

Kylie<We're going in the right direction.>

Renamon is out of sight as usual while Hitomi carries Salamon who'd not like to get stepped on.

*They close in on the Tamer near a bank. There's a short line to the ATM, consisting of a teenage male with glasses, thick poorly-combed hair, & a polo shirt; a man dressed like a Hypnos employee; a woman with dyed-blonde hair with a pink dress & a gaudy purse that looks vaguely like Koromon; & another teenage girl, with black hair with red streaks, & a black leather jacket.*

2<Come on, Poindexter, I'm late for work.>

3<Yeah, we have places to be, don't make me force you out.>

1<I'm trying, okay! It's a complicated transaction!>

4<Well, I've got as much time as I need. I'm moving up in the world.>

Taiyo: "That's such a cool jacket."

Kylie:<(Could any of them be the tamer?)>

Lunamon:<(That guy looks like he works for Hypnos.)>

4"Thanks. You've got some good-looking stuff yourself. Can't say I'm too fond of the shirt, though."

T"(It has to be one of them, we're right on top of the signal.)"

*The Hypnos-looking guy turns to face them.*

2<What are you all gawking at?>

Kylie:<What are you yelling about?>

Taiyo frowns.

Taiyo: "It's my favorite shirt."

4<Well, it shouldn't be.>

2<Kid, I don't have time for stupid pranks.>

*The first guy finally gets done & walks off. The Hypnos Employee looking dude walks up & presses some buttons on the ATM. Everyone else in line moves up, as well.*

Taiyo: "Your hair sucks."

*Kylie shakes her head*

<What pranks?>

*The man ignores Kylie. The woman in pink mutters about how they're all so stupid. The last woman gets out of her place in line, marches up to Taiyo with her hands on her hips, gets up close, & glares down at her. Because she is taller. The Digimon signal doesn't move.*

<You tryin' to start something, bitch?>

*Kylie gets really annoyed now*

<Don't you people have better things to do then pick a fight with a bunch of kids?>

From a rooftop, Renamon growls at the scene below. On one hand, her partner is in danger, but on the other they've already drawn plenty of attention to themselves earlier in the week and drawing anymore isn't likely to end well.

Hitomi narrows her eyes at the other girl while Taiyo stands her ground.

Taiyo: "Shouldn't talk crap if you can't take it in return."

Hypnos-lookin' guy<I do, so please take your shenanigans somewhere else.>

*Leather Jacket Girl puts a hand on Taiyo's shoulder. She then takes the other, winds it through Taiyo's hair, & yanks sharply upwards. It now becomes apparent that the hand on Taiyo's shoulder is there to keep Taiyo from being able to reach the girl's own hair.*

<Question is, how much can YOU take?>

*At this point, Euryale steps up.*

"Okay, that's enough. Egos are bruised, tempers are a little high, but someone has to be a big girl and stop escalating this. So if you take your hands off of my friend, I won't have to hurt you back."

*The girl looks Euryale up & down, sizing her up quizzically. Hypnos looking guy shuffles off, muttering about lousy hooligans. The Digimon signal moves slightly closer to the bank as the woman in pink begins to access the ATM.*

Being too busy sizing Euryale up and not letting her go, Taiyo grits her teeth and scratches the girl across the face with her free hand.

*Kylie takes out her cellphone*

<Let's not have any of this.>

*The girl shoves Taiyo into Kylie. Euryale sighs & punches at her. She stops when the bottom of her shirt inexplicably rips open & a small amount of blood trickles out--the bandages having taken most of the blow. She staggers back, whispering into her "purse."*

"(Do you see anything?"

<(No, I don't have a clue!)>

*DemiDevimon swoops overhead, dropping a needle towards the girl like a depth charge, but it is swatted aside by an invisible force as well. When it stabs into the ATM, the remaining lady runs off, screaming.*

*Kylie scrambles up, Lunamon on the ground beside her*

<Taiyo, are you alright?>

Taiyo: "Been better."

Hitomi: "Go."

Salamon jumps out of Hitomi's arms at the girl, teeth bared while Taiyo runs to Euryale's side.

*A green liquid comes out of thin air, spraying into Salamon's eyes & mouth.*
