Year One

<I've read this a million times, and yet it makes no sense. How can people want to treat others this way.>

*Eve throws the magazine aside and heads outside*

Taiyo: "Oh, there's a really great spot coming up. It's real shady and has a nice view of the park."

*Eve climbs up into a tree, and sits in a good spot*

T"It's not that one that overlooks the factory, is it?"

Taiyo: "Only if you look on that side. Looks like somebody's up there already."

From atop the hill, Azuma yawns.

Azuma: "Oh look, it's that trio from school. Who knew this was such a popular spot. I hope they're not here to take it."

Mimiru: "What the hell are you saying?"

*Aroma wrings her hands.*

A"Should we...still go?"

Taiyo: " They could be friendly. What could go wrong?"

A"They could start a good ol' fashioned Fag Drag."

A"Well, by that logic, they could be unfriendly. And I think I heard that girl talking about how she was going to beat some guy up."

Taiyo: "I think I heard about that. Some fifth year jerk. Either way we don't know if we don't try."

A"Okay...who wants to go first?"

*Thiera shrugs, then starts walking up the hill.*

Azuma: "She must be their leader. Trying to take this spot through diplomacy."

Mimiru: "God, shut up."

Taiyo follows Thiera.

Azuma: "Hello."

T"Hi. Nice day, isn't it?"

*Aroma takes up position behind Taiyo.*

A"H-hello."

Mimiru: "Hey."

Azuma: "'Lo. Quite nice."

Azuma looks at Aroma like he recognizes her.

Azuma: "You seem familiar. Did you have a class with Mr. Dawson last semester?"

*Eve takes out her phone an texts both her parents*

Hurry up. I'm hungry.....

[I need to reconnect with people this summer. I've been so busy the last 6 months that i haven't been able to do anything.]

A"I'm not sure...Creative Writing, 5th period?"

Azuma: "Yes. Well, hopefully that cuts introductions down a bit."

A"I can't say I really remember you, to be honest."

Azuma: "Can't say I'm shocked."

Mimiru: "Wish I could say the same."

Azuma: "You'd be lonely without me."

Mimiru: "I could find better friends."

Azuma: "Now's your chance."

*Aroma stands around awkwardly while they bicker, her hands behind her back, & smiles sheepishly whenever someone looks her way.*

T"I do remember seeing you over the past few days, though."

Azuma: "That's nice."

Mimiru: "Unfortunately, I can relate."

Taiyo: "Are you two dating?"

Azuma: "I'm sorry, what?"

Taiyo: "Well, it's just you two bicker like an old married couple."

T"You know, I think she has a point."

Azuma: "Not at all. We just have a mutual dislike of being alone. I'm holding out for a rich forigner."

Mimiru: "Because that won't ensure you're alone forever."

Azuma: "I'm trying to be optimistic, don't ruin it."

Taiyo: "You two would definitely make a nice couple. In your own special way."

T"You should consider just...letting your feelings out. Admitting your desires to a close few who you think will be able to understand them. If you do that, then--"

A"I like girls."

*Thiera looks back at Aroma, who blushes.*

T"...W-what?"

Taiyo: "Me too."

Azuma: "Well, since we're all making confessions, why don't you continue the trend with the women going first?"

Mimiru: "I hate you, more than anything."

A"So...I take it that you aren't a lesbian?"

T"I can't say that I am."

A"...Oh."

T"You sound disappointed."
