Year One

Dalia paused and considered the tag before continuing onwards.

"I've heard shots a lot of times..." Jin replied, thinking. "But yeah, I think so."

The letters YDT can kind of be seen amongst some other eleaborate nonsense. Aside from her, this portion of the docks is deserted.

Taiyo: "Yay! By the way, I'm Taiyo."

v"Venezuela."

*She offers Taiyo her hand.*

Eve:<I never really saw how dangerous this place was until then. I was a street or two away when it happened.>

*Eve stops treading water and dives, resurfacing about a second later*

<Not to suddenly change the topic, but what do you think of mutants? I mean in general.>

Dalia continued on towards the construction site, though now more slowly and cautiously.

Jin paused for a moment, and then shrugged, "Meh. I don't think they are a bad thing unless they use their powers for evil. What about you?"

Outside a building is a red SUV with tinted windows. Standing outside the door is a Chinese male with a machine pistol in hand, keeping watch.

Taiyo shakes her hand then lets go to swim back to the others.

*Venezuela follows along. Aroma kind of half-hides behind Thiera.*

T"Umm...hello. My name is Thiera."

Eve:<I'm perfectly fine with them. What I'm not so fine with is how some people are treating them right now.>

Dalia looked at the man for a moment before deciding to ignore him.

"Yeah, those Mutant Busters or whatever they are called seem a bit creepy to me," Jin said. "I mean, isn't that just like those German guys hunting Jews?"

The male eyes her suspiciously, gripe tightening on his gun, but does nothing more.

Taiyo: "And that's Aroma!"

Taiyo leans over to look at Aroma then whirls around to face Ven.

Taiyo: "So are you from around here?"

V"Yes."

*Venezuela sniffs the air a few times.*

[Are some of them...aroused?]

Eve:<Exactly. We will never learn, will we? Especially if what's-his-face gets elected.>

Dalia continued to ignore him.

Jin nodded before disappearing under the water and somersaulting forwards, briefly bringing her well toned legs above the water.

Around the corner of another building is a sketchy looking dock worker talking on a cellphone. Seeing Dalia, he quickly moves out of sight.

At the docks entrance a pair of red and white Copperheads come tearing down the road barely missing Dalia. It's not long 'til shots can be heard coming from where she came from.

Taiyo: She smells nice.

Taiyo: "What school did you go to?"

V"I don't go to school."

Dalia began to feel slightly nervous and looked around for an unoccupied space to run to and make her escape if necessary.

Taiyo: "Oh...um..."

Taiyo looks to the others to say something.

The shots cease and one of the Copperheads speeds on out of the area. A few minutes later the second one leaves.

T"You dropped out? How did your parents feel about that?"

V"They don't care."

T"Well, I guess it might feel like that sometimes, but--"

V"No. They don't. I dropped out after they kicked me out of the house, because I needed money to pay for the apartment I had to find. I haven't heard from them since."

*Eve dives under the water, resurfacing a second later*

<I need to not open my eyes underwater. It's a very bad habit.>

Dalia continued on her way, trying not to look at the Copperheads.

"Heh, yeah," Jin said, leaning back in the water and bringing her legs up so that the only parts of her body above water were her head, breasts and feet.

They go in the opppsite direction. Sirens can be heard in the distance.

Down the way at the construction site, not much has really happened being only the first day. Just the area being fenced off and cleared.

Taiyo: "Oh...um..."

Taiyo again looks to the others for help. Her idea to include the cute new stranger not going as hoped.

V"I should probably just go. Sorry to bother you."

*Ven turns & begins swimming away.*

Dalia considered the scene, taking into account the size of the area being fenced off and the amount of machinery currently present. She also looked for any sign that might indicate what was being constructed.

There's a sign indicating it's the future site of a nuclear power plant.

Taiyo begins to swim after her.
