Year One

A"O--oh, nothing."

*Thiera begins making her way towards them, wincing as she walks over the hot sand.*

*Eve smiles*

<Thanks! You look great yourself.>

*Eve follows Jin deeper into the water*

Dalia considered the sight for a few moments before walking away and towards the shops.

Once the water had reached Jin's shoulder height, she dived straight under and popped up a moment later a couple of meters away.

She hears some conversations about the construction. Speculation ranging from a multiplex, to condos, to a mini mall, and even a car lot.

Male Pedestrian: "You hear about the construction on the west side? Near the shipping yards and industrial sector?"

Male Pedestrian Two: "Nope. What the hell could they build there? Or want to build there with those chinks going around like they own the fucking docks. At least the Japs just have it in for the Reds."

Male Pedestrian: "I heard from my brother in-law that it's a nuclear power plant. Supposed to be more enviromentally friendly or some shit."

Taiyo: "Thiera's coming!"

Taiyo waves to Thiera.

*Thiera waves back & slowly makes her way into the water.*

Dalia acted on this new information by heading towards that construction site.

Being on the far west side of the city, it'll be a long walk.

Taiyo swims up to Thiera.

==========================================

Azuma: "And boom goes the dynamite."

Mimiru: "God, you're an idiot."

Azuma is hanging over a garbage can he had just thrown up in having overheated.

Mimiru: "Didn't I warn you about this?"

Azuma: "I'll be fine. Just gotta lower my body temperature."

Mimiru: "And be the first person to die of hypothermia in summer."

As Dalia intended it to be. She continues the walk.

*Aroma follows, trying not to look Thiera over too overtly.*

*Eve dives under the water and resurfaces near Jin*

<This isn't as cold I thought it would be.>

Taiyo looks about.

Taiyo: "Did you see the cute girl from yesterday?"

Azuma: "I'm cold now."

Mimiru: "God, you're an idiot."

T"What?"

*Aroma points to where Ven is swimming.*

A"She's over there."

Dalia became sick of walking and hailed a cab.

"Yeah, it's lovely," Jin nodded in agreement before beginning to backstroke a bit further out.

Eve:<That it is.>

*Eve dives under the water again, swimming in Jin's general direction*

The cab takes her a block from the docks. The driver refusing to get any closer to triad territory.

Taiyo: "You think she'd want to hang out with us?"

*Whomever Taiyo is looking at shrugs & says that she doesn't know.*

Eve:<So, doing anything fun over break?>

Dalia paid the driver and continued on foot, patting her jacket pocket to make sure that her pistol was still there.

Jin stopped swimming and shook her head, "Not really, I don't have any plans. How about you?"

Aside from dock workers there isn't much going on at the docks. There are some signs warning about the construction ahead. Mainly just detour ahead and to slow down.

Taiyo swims over to Ven.

Taiyo: "Hi."

*Ven is confused that some stranger swam across the beach to greet her.*

V"Hello?"

Eve:<Well, we were going to visit my Grandparents outside of London, but then it turned out my parents had to work. I'll probably be bored all summer.>

*Eve starts treading water*

<Still better than school though.>

Dalia continued on towards the docks, beginning to wish that she had brought some more iced tea with her and left her jacket behind.

"I guess," Jin replied. "Though there isn't much interesting stuff around town, and at least we're generally safe in school. All the gang stuff is a little scary."

Some dock workers look her way then resume their work not really caring what some girl is doing around the docks. Eventually she passes a warehouse with an odd yellow tag spraypainted on the door indicating she's now in triad territory.

Taiyo: "I was wondering if you wanted to come hang out with me and my friends over there."

Taiyo points over at Thiera and Aroma.

Taiyo: "They're super nice."

*They wave shakily, with sheepish grins.*

V"Well...why not."

Eve:<True. Did you hear the shots on the last year of school?>
