"I only have myself to blame," Sab said, "I mean... the whole thing was complicated, but there is no denying that I hurt your feelings, and I'm incredibly sorry. I'd just like to finally move passed the events of that night. I'd like to be your friend."

Mortal frowned, causing Noct to say, "Is something wrong? They're finally getting along. Kind of."

"It isn't that... I just feel like someone was being vindictive, and mean spirited," Mortal said.

"Probably just mother," Noct said, "Can't imagine anyone else could be so rude."

"So, a pale, white-haired, scarred, obese woman," Zac put the picture in his head, and frowned, "Well, she is a dragon after all."

*Yappin' isn't getting it out of the ground any faster.*

"I'd like that too. I'm sorry for acting cold to you so long. I should have told you I forgave you way back at Riovanes, but I was just so angry at everything."

"Well...I don't know that I'd put it like that, necessarily...."

They're still digging and pulling while talking.

Azuma: "I'm going to rip that tavernmaster a new one."

Mimiru: "Did it occur to you he didn't know that'd happen?"

Azuma: "It'll make me feel better."

"That is what you said," Zac replied, "Unless I misunderstood you."

Sab smiled, and hugged Euryale, letting out a long sigh of relief, "I'm so glad. It feels like a weight has been lifted."

~Lesalia~

"Well, she was kind of pale, but no paler than your sister. No offense. And the scar part is...you know, around here."

*She puts her finger over approximately where she remembers the scar being, on her face.*

"I don't know what to say about the white hair. That is kind of weird, but it looks healthy otherwise. And she's not obese, per se, just kind of...pudgy."

*As she's talking, she keeps fidgeting & avoiding looking him in the eye.*

*As they keep going, they uncover another 10 inches. Definitely longer than a rod.*

Azuma: "Looks like you're getting a new lance, Taiyo."

Taiyo continues pulling.

Taiyo: "Hopefully it's worth all that."

"As I said before, I'm not blameless in this," Sab said, "I'm just glad it is finally over."

Mortal frowned again, "I feel it again..."

"Dawn must be in rare form today."

"Uh, right, it has been a while since you've seen her. Perhaps it would be best if I inquire about her appearance from my father. You know, for a more up-to-date look," Zac said. He then noticed her fidgeting and asked, "Are... you alright?"

~Lesalia~

*Lilith flips her head so that her braid is at her front & begins pulling on it, grinding her teeth.*

"I liked, okay?! She's all--"

*She makes an hourglass in the air with her hands.*

"And her chest is like--"

*She puts her hands on her chest & flings them outward. The Tavernmaster looks at her like he isn't really sure what that's supposed to mean.*

"I only said she was fat because I was jealous. I only wanted to make her sound unpleasant compared to me, & it worked, but too well, & now I feel bad."

*She rests her elbows on her table, holding her head.*

"Everything else I said is true to the best of my knowledge, I swear."

*They uncover a few more inches.*

*They arrive at the base of the falls to see a trio of each type of Squidraken lurking in the water. Behind them, on the opposite bank, is a Living Bone & a Red Chocobo.*

"Well, I guess there's always a price for redemption."

Azuma: "This thing probably reaches all the way to Sal Ghidos."

Safian:<We can head back to my place.>

Cassandra:<Or take another job.>

*Safian looks suprised*

Safian:<It's a little soon.>

Cassandra:<I suppose...>

*Everyone stands up and exits the tavern, heading for Safian's house*

Zac frowned and scooted over to pat Lilith's shoulder, "You know, Lilith, you don't have to lie about people. You're really beautiful. You don't have to trick me into thinking others are ugly to make me see that. Whether Mortal is pretty or not, it won't change the fact that you're a beautiful, intelligent, and talented woman. And that is, indeed, a fact."

*It starts to slide out more easily. By the time they realize that it's at least a half-length longer than your typical spear, it snags on something below ground.*

*Lilith reaches over with her other arm & grabs his hand.*

L"But I don't have any of those traits I just described. What sign of beauty do I have to offer Ivalice?"

"Your beautiful face, the smile I've come to cherish," Zac said, "That great butt of yours."

Mortal frowned again, this time because the mood was killed by a bunch of monsters. Mortal chases down the Chocobo, and double slashes it.

Sab begins to charge a Meteor on the one of the squids, and Noct puts Roatha down for a second and spins on her toes, extending her arms as she begins her Forbidden Dance.

~Lesalia~

*Lilith does, in fact, smile.*

"Well...since I guess I'm off duty indefinitely, would you like to do something later? Maybe get something to eat...whatever else Lesalia has to offer?"

~Zeirechele Falls~

*The Chocobo has no intention of allowing Mortal to catch up to it. It flaps its wings, dropping a meteor down on her head, & begins climbing up the mountain. While she's still trying to cross the stream, the Squidraken trio wisely decides to give her a wide berth, & instead heads for the bank. However, as it passes, the Mindflayer blasts Mortal with psychadelic rainbow energy, & her swords feel heavier. Euryale approaches the Piscodaemon & backhands its head clean off. Needless to say, it's dead. The Skeletal Fiend (Living Bone), however, blasts Mortal with a blast of razor wind before retreating up the cliff with the Chocobo. It is at this point that Sab's meteor triggers, a flaming space rock plowing down on top of the Squidraken, & unfortunately Euryale. The former dies, the latter is critically wounded.*

Zac smiled wider, "I'd love to. There is a restaurant close by that serves great food, and there is a nice park where poets, and bards go to practice their craft, if you're into that sort of thing."

"Sorry, Euryale," Sab said, charging a Hasteja on Euryale.

Mortal keeps chasing the Chocobo aiming to double slash it.

~Zeirechele Falls~

*The Chocobo is already at the top of the mountain while Mortal just gets to the base. It drops yet another meteor on her.*

E"Mortal, come back, we can corner it as a group!"

*So she says before she narrowly dodges a lashing tentacle from the Mindflayer, & retreats to heal herself with Chakra.*

"Very well. But I've a few errands to attend to first, which I fear I must do alone. Shall we meet at that restaurant in an hour or so?"

"Sure, I can't wait," Zac said.

"I'll be back for you, coward!" Mortal called up at the Chocobo in Beast tongue. She then made her way to the Mindflayer, and tried a double slash if she was close enough.

Sab uses Hasteja.

~Zeirechele Falls~

*Now hastened, Euryale quickly leaps into action, pummeling the Mindflayer to within an inch of its life. It turns to see Mortal charging towards it, but wants none of that, so it tries to retreat into deeper water. Meanwhile, the Chocobo & Skeletal Fiend slowly pursue Mortal, hitting her with a meteor & shards of ice, respectively.*

*Lilith stands up, curtsies, & heads for the door.*

Zac smiles as he watches her go, ecstatic to be going on a date with Lilith.

Mortal uses Vengeance on the Mindflayer.

Sab uses Stop on the Chocobo.

Taiyo: "It's stuck."

The two continue digging while Taiyo wiggles the lance about, attempting to free it.

*The spear wiggles from side to side, but shows no sign of budging. In their digging, the other 2 uncover some large rocks that the tip is presumably stuck between.*

Tavernmaster<I couldn't help but overhear. Need me to do anything for you, while you kill time?>

~Zeirechele Falls~

*The Mindflayer dies, but the Chocobo is on top of the mountain. Much too far away, & out of Sab's range. The Skeletal Fiend jumps down back onto the opposite bank & waits there. Being a dick, the Chocobo drops another Meteor on Mortal, critically wounding her. Euryale quickly approaches her, & uses Chakra.*

"I could probably hit it with a summon, but I'm sure it will move. We could also try climbing up on either side of the embankment."

*Meanwhile, Noct's long-overdue Dance finally activates, causing the Skeletal Fiend to fall asleep & a dark haze to cover the Red Chocobo's eyes.*

Azuma: "Well shit."

The two begin to try and move the rocks.

*After resting for a bit, the three head for the item shop, since they need some ethers*

"A glass of apple cider would be great, if you have any. Been on the road a while now, and I'm parched," Zac said, "Its been a while since I've been in Lesalia, but I'm pretty sure tavernmasters don't make reservations for others at fancy restaurants, so I'll do that myself when I'm done with my drink."

Sab begins to move over towards the skeletal fiend, casting graviga should she be close enough.

Mortal nods, and begins to move up one side of the embankment.

<I'm just saying. I could get you something. Maybe enhance performance a little.>

*He wanders off to start making that drink.*

*The Chocobo pelts Mortal with a meteor, critically wounding her again. It then runs to the other side of the embankment, like a cock. Sab hits a skeleton with Graviga, halving its health. 2 blue crystals appear in the water. At this point, Noctis silences the skeleton & turns the Chocobo into a toad.*
