*Aroma leads her to the peasant shopping district. It's as different as night & day from the other. It's all open market, instead of using signs, the people advertise by yelling loudly, the clothing consists of mostly browns, greens, & greys, & there is virtually no jewelry.*

*They just went back to Gariland. Some guy stares at them.*

~Finath River~

*The Chocobos begin making their way down while the Squidraken surround Mimiru & begin attacking back. The Gobbledygook counterattacks, scratching across Azuma's face. He then runs up towards the Chocobos.*

"What, it is true," Mortal said.

*Safian looks like she's about to barbecue the guy*

Safian:<Get lost.>

Cassandra:<So sorry, she's in a bad mood right now.>

*And head in a direction they haven't gone yet*

Safian:<Come out sheepy!>

~Gariland~

*Once Safian starts walking around town yelling about sheep, that guy beats a hasty retreat.*

L"You had just finished saying that your chief instinct whenever someone passed through the desert was to attack them."

*Cassandra drags Safian out to the plains*

Cassandra:<(Just keep walking.)>

Safian:<How hard can to be to find a monster attacking people?>

Cassandra:<(Maybe it's not hungry.)>

*Upon arriving on the plains, they restart their search*

Taiyo seems less tense being in a more familiar environment as she glances at the things being sold.

Mimiru steps behind one Squidraken and attacks with Pummel.

Azuma follows the Gobbldyguck, attacking when he catches up.

~Lesalia~

*Aroma is noticeably less comfortable. She takes a step back.*

Aroma<Well, that's the inn, the park, & the slums. I have to head to the library now. I'm sorry I don't have more time to show you around, but the truth is, I'm not entirely sure what to show you.>

~Finath River~

*The critically wounded Squidraken runs away, while the other slips behind her & attacks, to avoid reprisal from her counterattack. The Gobledyook once again counters, but this time slips behind him & attacks again. Mainly because he's now in range to where the Black Chocobo can hurl Choco Balls at him. The Chocobo begins running downhill past Azuma.*

~Mandalia~

*AGAIN, they find the scene with the slain knight.*

*Cassandra bangs her sword against her shield*

<Monster-dragon-thing?! Hello?!?>

*If there is any direction they have not searched yet, they go that way*

Taiyo: "Oh, okay."

The get behind their respective targets, Azuma attacking the Gobbldyguck and Mimiru using Pummel on the Squidraken.

~Mandalia~

*By sheer dumb luck they find a cave, which they might have found if they followed the general path of the dead body, wrecked caravan, wool fragments, & occasional footprints.*

~Finath~

*Mimiru immediately drops in over her head & finds that she can't muster the force to properly punch the Squidraken. It is not so limited, & glides through the water behind her before whipping her back with its tentacle. Meanwhile, the Gobbledygook is critically wounded. It tries to run away, with the Chocobo racing after it. The Black Chocobo approaches Azuma & fires Choco Balls at him.*

*She waves goodbye to Taiyo.*

Taiyo waves back.

Taiyo: "Bye."

Azuma follows the Gobbldyguck and attacks it again.

Mimiru climbs out of the water and attacks the Squidraken with Aurablast.

"I was rude too," Mortal said, "If I tried to kill you as soon as you walked through the door I doubt you'd think I was anything but rude. Maybe psychotic."

Safian:<Do we go inside or?>

Cassandra:<Maybe.>

*They approach the cave, but do not enter*

Cassandra:<Hey, anyone home?>

~Lesalia~

L"Most likely, yes."

E"...So...how's the food?"

L"It is delicious, thank you."

*Aroma blows her a kiss, then sets off back in the direction of the palace.*

~Mandalia~

*A goddamn Lesser Hydra roars & emerges. Its 3 sets of jaws are visibly covered in dried blood, & there is wool & pieces of clothing stuck in its teeth.*

~Finath~

*Thus, Azuma kills a Gobbledygook. The Chocobo opts to continue running past, heading for the first Squidraken. The Black Chocobo again approaches, & fires Choco Balls. Mimiru manages to critically wound the other Squidraken, who flees into the deeper water. The other one moves towards its Chocobo benefactor.*

*Safian starts charging Ice on the Hydra, while Cassandra stands out of the way, sword drawn and ready*

Azuma takes the crystal and goes after the Black Chocobo.

Mimiru lines herself up with the Squidraken in the water and attacks with Shockwave.

Noct was really just pushing her food around on her plate by that point.

"Eat your food," Sab pestered.

"Uh, Lilith, would you care to tell us a bit about yourself?" Noct asked, trying to distract Sab from her eating habits. "I'd like to get to know you a bit better, if you don't mind."

~Lesalia~

L"Uhh...hmm...well, that's quite a nebulous question. What would you like to know?"

E"I'll start. What's being a Samurai like?"

L"Much like being a Knight, only your sword criticizes your battles."

~Finath~

*She manages to kill it. As for Azuma, there is no crystal, so I suppose he's just running toward a Black Chocobo, who of course pelts him with Choco Balls before flying away. The Chocobo reaches the other Squidraken & twirls, healing it with the golden light of Choco Cure.*

~Mandalia~

*After being hit with ice, it roars & charges Safian's ass.*

*Safian runs out of the way while Cassandra charges forward and slashes*

Taiyo goes back to the inn.

Azuma turns around to retrieve the Gobbldyguck's crystal. Mimiru goes along the river bank after the Squidraken and Chocobo.

~Finath~

*THERE. IS. NO. CRYSTAL. Azuma just gets pelted with Choco Balls again, & critically wounded. The other monsters are actually not near the bank. The Chocobo cures them again, then they split off, each approaching a different side of Mimiru.*

*Since she never got a room from Aroma, she's just going to have to get one herself.*

~Mandalia~

*The monster counterattacks, then flies behind her.*

*Safian begins charging Ice again, while Cassandra parries then pivotes and slashes again*

Azuma downs a Hi-Potion and continues towards the other monsters.

Mimiru moves in on the Chocobo and attacks with Aurablast.

Taiyo gets herself a room at the inn.

~Mandalia~

*The parry is successful, but she's still scratched across the back. When she turns around & slashes, it barely cuts a groove in the Hydra's armor. The ice collects in the crack & breaks its armor wider, so it turns & flies towards Safian.*

~Finath~

*The Chocobo rushes her & lashes back with its beak. The Squidraken whips at her from the other side. Meanwhile, the Black Chocobo pelts Azuma again. Because Choco Ball is a very srong attack, it more than undoes the Hi-Potion.*

*He hands her a room key.*

Mimiru steps behind the Chocobo and attacks with Shockwave.

Azuma takes another Hi-Potion and moves back, turning to face the chocobo.

Taiyo: "When my friends get back, a male Knight and female Monk probably arguing can you tell them Taiyo got a room?"
