They continue following the mob to the city.

*They arrive in the city to find the streets full of activity. An Arithmetician is writing notes on a wall to a group of bored-looking kids. Most establishments have Dancers outside of them, performing a dance that alternates between rapid spinning movements & slow, swaying ones. Some are accompanied by bards, singing & playing a lyre. There's even a Time Mage sitting on some boxes, giving a demonstration by casting spells on children playing a game of tag.*

*Euryale spins, trying hard not to trip on her feet.*

They head back to the tavern.

"Good," Noct said, satisfied that Euryale's chest wasn't going to be causing her issues. "Well, I suppose we can start with some basic steps of a Witch Hunt, and Mincing Minuet. It is a good starting off point, and can open your eyes to some of the things more complex dances will employ later on. A minuet is actually a partner dance, but I think you want to learn the more practical variation of the dances, so I'll teach what I can of the single variations for them."

*After stocking up on supplies, they head out towards the party*

*As luck would have it, the desert is barren & lifeless. Also really, really hot.*

*The tavernmaster informs them of Taiyo's room. He also gives them a couple of bottles to take up, which if they read the labels, they'll find is scented bath soap.*

E"Alright, but what are the steps? Sometimes it looks like you're just kind of spazzing out on the battlefield. No offense."

Safian:<It's hoooooot.>

Cassandra:<No really.>

*They continue walking*

Azuma: "What the hell is this? You trying to tell us something?"

Mimiru: "Just shut up and go."

Mimiru pushes him upstairs to the room. Mimiru knocks on the door a few times, it's a few minutes before Taiyo answer.

Azuma: "Hey sleepyhead, I think you're not-so secret admirer left you these."

Taiyo: "Oh, okay."

Taiyo steps back to let them in, Azuma putting the bottles down somewhere on a table or something.

"Well, of course it looks like I'm spazzing out. There is no music and I'm trying to bring harm to others. It can look inelegant at times, much to my annoyance, but you gotta do what you gotta do," She then points to Sab, "Speaking of music, Sab, please do me a favor, see that box over there? There should be a brass disk with little holes in it on top of the box. Just wind it up so we can have some music."

Sab nods then does this so that a song comes on.

"Thanks, beautiful," Noct then takes the initial pose of a Mincing Minuet, "Start off like this." She then takes a step, curving along the floor, then moves forward a step towards the middle, then spins. "That is called the 'lead in' step. Would you like me to demonstrate it again?"

OOC: The grammar in Harley's section is literally worse than Hitler.

*Lilith does just that. Euryale frowns & tries to repeat it, but her steps are more like stomps.*

~Gollund~

*Then they pass into Gollund, where it's snowing heavily. In spite of that, the city is bustling with people in thick coats, most of them stained with soot. To the north, near the gate, they're putting together a group of linked wagons drawn by Chocobos. The Chocobos have thick scarves around their necks & wicker devices tied to their talons, to keep them from sinking into the snow.*

"Wow, you're a natural, Lilith," Zac said.

"Good job, Lilith, practice that a few more times while I help Euryale," Noct said walking over. "Euryale, you have to be a bit more graceful. Luckily, that isn't as vague as it sounds. You need to lead with your toes whenever you take a step. It may seem a bit awkward at first, but it is good form for dance. Like this." Noct repeated the step, and over exaggerated her foot movements, showing how she lead with her toes, "Now you try."

Azuma: "So how 'bout when everything's wrapped up here we head home?"

Taiyo: "For how long?"

Azuma: "I don't know. A couple of days, a week, forever."

Mimiru: "Where'd this come from?"

Azuma: "Eh, getting kind of sick of the lifestyle. High risk, low reward, all kinds of nonsense. Remember that thing with the thieves?"

Mimiru: "I'd like to not remember it."

Azuma: "Exactly. Everything is terrible. And it might be kind of nice to stay in one place for more than a day."

Mimiru: "Well, if it gets me out of this city, I don't care."

Taiyo looks at the extravagant outfit and bottles sitting on a chair then to the others.

Taiyo: "Okay."

~Lesalia~

*Lilith scratches the back of her head.*

L"I don't know...I can imitate the movements well enough, but I'm not sure I could reproduce them from memory."

E"At least you've gotten that far."

*Euryale follows, her movements lagging behind Noctis & stopping at awkward times. She stares down at her legs, brow furrowed in concentration.*

E"...Is it just me or are my feet really big?"

Azuma: "All right, it's decided. We leave for Sal Ghidos...the day after that shindig at the castle."

Taiyo: "What'd you do while I was with Aroma?"

Azuma: "Delivered a package. Pitiful amount of JP, no money that anyone can remember. The usual."

Mimiru: "This cretin died at least three times."

Azuma: "The usual."

Taiyo: "Oh..."

"Well..."

"Uh..."

"I mean, they're not that...

"They look fine to me."

Cassandra:<Maybe we should see if we can get some snowshoes.>

Safian:<Do we really need them?>

*Cassandra looks around to see if there is a place to potentially purchase them*

~Gollund~

*There is a shoe store.*

*Euryale looks to Lilith questioningly, who looks away, sounding annoyed.*

L"They're fine."

E"Sheesh, it's not like I threatened you, or anything."

*They enter*

Cassandra:<Can we purchase some show shoes, please?>

"Uh, anyway, the size of your feet isn't the problem here," Noct said, "You just need some rhythm. Listen to the song and dance to the beat." Noct repeated her step, exaggerating when she hits the beat in the song.

~Lesalia~

*Since nothing is going on, Taiyo & Friends receive a knock on their door.*

*Euryale practices, starting to get it, though she remains a little behind the tune.*

*Inside of the store is mostly leather boots.*

Mimiru answers the door.

"Try not to react to the song. Know when the rhythm is coming, and dance confidently," Noct said, before looking back to Lilith. "How are you doing over here, Lilith?"

~Lesalia~

*Outside is Aroma, wearing a long green dress with a slightly flared skirt of a lighter shade & darker green ribbons tied around her waist up to her armpits. She is also wearing a cloche hat, matching her ribbons, which is as adorable as it is anachronistic.*

*Lilith leads in, steps, & spins. She basically has the entire procedure down, with one exception: When she spins, her right hand flares outward slightly, in a loose fist.*

Mimiru backs away from the door, distancing herself from a deranged leperchaun. Taiyo gets up off the bed she was sitting on.

Taiyo: "Hi, Aroma."

Noct points this out, "Never make a closed fist." Noct flared her hand, fingers fanned in a the typically delicate look of a dancer, "You should get in the habit of fanning your fingers, and seeming relaxed. Dancing takes effort, but what makes a good dancer is making it appear effortless." She spun and flared her fingers again, to show the point, "Other than that, you have it pretty good. Very nice."
