Taiyo: "Shouldn't we call the police?"

The store owner takes her money, the transaction going through no problem. He doesn't take his eye off the magnum under the counter.

Azuma stands in Mimiru's room in costume. Blue sneaker, blue jeans, blue hoodie with the hood up and drawn and a blue bandana to cover his face, only his eyes being exposed. The only non-blue is his black leather gloves.

Mimiru: "You look like a Crip."

Azuma: "Shut up."

He takes her hand and teleports them up to the roof.

Mimiru: "If you die, I'm going to drag you back from Hell and kill you myself."

Azuma: "I won't die. Not tonight at least."

He teleports to the next roof.

T"Yeah, let's put in an anonymous tip once we're clear of the area. Just one thing first."

*She waves her hand, causing any plant residue she left behind to degrade.*

*Luna opens her door a crack & glances out to see if it looks like anyone might be watching.*

"Thanks," Dalia said as she bagged her stuff and walked out. She found the closest empty alley and went into Alternate Space, and made her way back home through there.

Grimm put on his black cloak, slipping his blade and his pistol inside the cassock first. He then moved to the front entrance of the church and locked it. He checked each window to make sure that they were all securely locked, and then left by a side exit which he also locked behind him.

Azuma: First night on the town, don't have a name, don't have shit except a desire to seek justice.

From an alley below him, shots ring out.

Azuma: Fuck. First night and guns are involved. I can't afford kevlar. Not that these goons aren't using cop killers.

He teleports down to the alley where two Tyranno Boys had gunned a man down. They don't search him, having just gunned him down for the hell out of.

Azuma: Show time.

Taiyo: "Right."

And so they get the hell out of there, Taiyo dialing up the police and handing Thiera her phone once they're a block away from the scene.

No one is around to spot either of them. No one really caring much in the first place.

Commission Morrison and Leiutenant Millar stand atop the roof of Central, Morrison taking a drag of an old dirty cigar.

Millar: "What'd your wife say about those things?"

Morrison: "They'll be the death of me. Of course I see this job doing me in first. Russians still in holding?"

Millar: "Outstandingly, yes. They're not talking and neither is the Tyranno Boy. Kid's parents won't even speak about him. Hung up both times I called."

Morrison: "That's a shame. Remember the stories our grandfathers told us when they worked the beat? When it was only the Italians, Irish, and to a lesser extent the Chinese running the show?"

Millar: "Like it was yesterday. Then WWII came to a close and the Japanese and Soviets moved in. Then the power shift. The Russians and Japanese seized control of the Irish and Italians territory and drove them out. The Chinese claimed more turf and that was about it."

Morrison: "At least those two haven't been going after each other lately. Too many bodies sent to the morgue. Not that these Tyranno Boys have any problem making up for that. Barely old enough to shave and already hardened killers. And we can't even find a damn thing about them. Maybe these costumes can."

Millar: "Sir, you're not condoning the actions of vigilante's, are you?"

Morrison: "It certainly looks that way. But you know, if we can't do it, maybe they can."

Dalia returned to her room, leaving Alternate Space just before it timed out. Her note was still on the desk, and she could tell that her parents hadn't come to see if she was in. Why would they? It was just a precaution. She began altering her outfit, switching the leather jacket for the trench coat and the shoes for knee high military boots. She left on the beret, and checked to make sure that her pistol was still tucked into her shorts. Taking the masquerade mask and putting it in a pocket of the trench coat, she renewed the Alternate Space and went back in, heading out into the streets again.

Grimm wandered into the alleys, almost completely blending into the shadows with his black outfit. He remained constantly alert, waiting for someone to cross his path.

*Luna sneaks out of her own home, staying close to shadows of things like bushes, fences, trees, etc. Once on the street, she looks for an alley to disappear in, preferably with a fire escape.*

*Thiera tries to make her voice sound deeper.*

"Hello? I need to report a body I found at [address]. She looks like she died from some skin disease. There's a bunch of red domino things next to her."

In the background she can hear someone shout "Son of a bitch!" before the operator says a unit will be dispatched to that area.

Taiyo: "I should get home."

The two Tyranno Boys turn around, one wielding a Glock 17, the other an Uzi. Azuma teleports behind the one with the Glock, sticking an ice crystal in his arm, so he drops his gun.

The other cocks his gun and fires, Azuma teleporting behind him as his partner is shot to Hell. Azuma disarms him in the same way then sticks a crystal in the back of his leg.

Azuma teleports with the Tyranno Boy and returns, slamming the Tyranno Boy into a wall.

Azuma: "Where's your leader?! Where's Raptor?!"

He speaks in a faux attempt at sounding tough. At best it's a bad Clint Eastwood impression, and at worst he sounds like he has a throat infection.

Tyranno Boy: "I ain't speaking to no costume mutie. I'm a slice & dicer."

Azuma: "Tough guy."

Luna finds her fire escape and Father Grimm passes a jonsing meth head.

Dalia finds a lot of nothing.

===========================================

Loeb comes on to the roof, lighting a cigarette in the process.

Loeb: "Commish, leiutenant."

Morrison: "Sergent."

Millar: "Loeb."

Morrison: "How's the church case?"

Loeb: "Fuck, don't get me started. Meth was easy. Finding it, processing, shutting that lab down. This shit. Some asshole diembowleing and eating their guts, another asshole puking on a priests shoes, and Miller just went out to investigate and anonymous tip about someone whose fucking skin is rotting."

Millar: "Any connections to the mob? They're pushing a new product?"

Loeb: "Not likely. There's no way these jerks aren't long time users. Who manufactures a drug that fucks the user up from the get go? But that means either it's been in the city for awhile and the users are popping out of the woodwork or this is some fucked up human trafficking."

Morrison: "Who do we know who's involved with that?"

Loeb: "Who smuggles in people who are half dead? Unless your clientele are some big weirdos, no one'll touch that shit."

Dalia had exited Alternate Space just in time to hear the last shots of Azuma's confrontation in the distance. She began walking in that direction.

"Know anything about Mutants around here?" Grimm asked in a low, hushed voice.

*Luna slinks into the shadow of the alley & observes.*

T"Umm...bye."

*Thiera hangs up the phone & hands it to Taiyo.*

V"Why can't we ever just go somewhere & have fun?"

Taiyo takes her phone back.

Taiyo: "Can someone walk with me? Or we can all go."

Azuma teleports atop the fourth tier of a nearby fire escape.

Azuma: "Where's Raptor?"

Tyranno Boy: "Man, you're boggin'. This won't kill me."

Azuma: "Counting on it. I'm not you. I'm not a killer."

Azuma releases the Tyranno Boy whose legs break on impact.

Azuma: Good start. Accomplish nothing, except maybe giving them something to talk about assuming someone finds this mook.

Azuma teleports elsewhere.

The meth head does what meth heads do, picks at and eats his scabs. Jabbering about nothing being too far gone to do much else.

Inquiry: Another evil moves in on this city, its drugs spreading throughout it. Its victims from elsewhere been released. Another evil for another time. Drugs fade and change like media trends. Corruption in this city stays.

He overlooks the construction site, a high rise beginning to form.

Inquiry: What purpose does this construct serve? No free enterprise would dare enter this city. Its purpose can only mean danger to this city. Mutant activity is nearly nonexistant near this area, yet Mutant Buster patrols are present most of the night.

Two Mutant Buster vans pass each other as they circle the block. He descends a fire escape.

Grimm continued on through the alleys, listening intently to the sounds of the city. He had heard shots earlier, but none followed.

As Dalia came closer to where she suspected the shots had come from, she became cautious and listened more keenly for voices, sirens or any other possibly important noises.

T"Sure, I'd love to. I was worried you wouldn't want to see us again."

*The others nod.*

*Luna climbs the fire escape to get to a roof so that she can look out over the city.*

<Wow, it's totally late, we better get home.>

*Eve hurries off to where her mother is waiting*

*Cameron, now dressed in all black, opens his room's window, and jumps out, flying towards the roof of the next house over*

"Uh, could I get a lift back to the school?" Jin asked, following Eve. "I can jog home from there."

*Eve looks confused as she enters the car*

Dr. Tantus:<I'll take you home. There's no problem at all.>

"Oh, thanks," Jin grinned and followed into the car.

Taiyo: "Why wouldn't I want to see you again?"

On another rooftop, Azuma stops for a breather.

Azuma: How long did those others have to this before something like that is nothing?

Dalia hears the groans of someone whose legs are broken. No sirens to be heard.

Up above, Luna sees some sparce traffic, none of which are police vehichles.

When the vans pass, Inquiry makes his way across the street and over the fence of the construction site. It's an ordinary site sans the lack of any indication of what is being built, for what, and for who.

A night watchman begins to make his rounds, Inquiry ducking behind some girders.

Investigation unsuccessful.

Father Grimm's experiences are similar to Luna's a whole lot of nothing.

*Dr. Tantus smiles and starts heading for Jin's house*

Dr. Tantus:<How was it?>

Eve:<Very interesting.>

We'll half to meet up again to talk more about this.

*Cameron, happy with what he did, flies to the next rooftop*

Yeah, sure.

Dalia moved closer and cast her eye around the scene, before approaching the man with broken legs and kneeling down by his side to whisper, "Who are you? Who did this to you?"

Grimm tired of the alleys and moved out to a more populated street. He did not walk onto the path, but hung back in the shadows and watched the people.

*Luna fucking vaults to the next roof.*

A"We thought you might think we were trouble."

V"With the fact that danger seems to follow us around."

T"And I'm taking things from a corpse."

Taiyo: "Well that last part is pretty weird. But where else would I find other people like umm...us?"

She eventually ends up on the same roof as Azuma.

Azuma: "Shit."

It's a Tyranno Boy who's about sixteen. On top of the broken legs in a stab would in his right arm and leg. Not too far away is another Tyranno Boy, shot dead and some middle aged man also shot dead. Discarded weapons lie nearby.

For a hardened killer, he's not so tough when no one's around as he's crying.

He ends up on a street populated mostly by sex workers. A young girl in pigtails and schoolgirl uniform no older than thirteen approaches him, a forced smile on her face.

Girl: "Hiya, mister. Fifty dollars and I'll make ya see Heaven."

The corners of her mouth twitch and her eyes dart about. She's nervous. Being watched.

Eventually he runs out of rooftops.

"Hey, kid, listen to me," Dalia lightly slapped him on the forehead. "I can help you."

"Go away," Grimm said to the pitiful girl, trying not to sound too harsh.

<Who are you? What are you doing up here?>

T"I need to examine the evidence. There's a good chance that this is something the police can't deal with. Also, I don't know, they haven't invented a method to detect mutants yet."

V"And hopefully, they never do."

Taiyo: "It's not like we're the crazy ones on t.v, right?"

Street lights are coming on and it's apparent they've made no effort to go anywhere.

Azuma: "Enjoying the view. Do you mind?"

Girl: "A simple no would've sufficed, jerk."

As he walks away, he hears the sound of skin on skin. The girls pimp having just backhanded her.

Pimp: "What the fuck are you doing, bitch? You don't just let a john escape! You're messin' with my livelihood. And if I don't get paid, you don't get paid."

Girl: "I'm sorry, I'll...I'll try again!"

She runs off after Father Grimm.

Girl: "Hundred dollars and you can do anything you want to me!"

Dalia frowned at the unresponsive boy, unsure of what to do with him.

Grimm reached behind his cloak and into his cassock to retrieve two fifty dollar bills. He gave both to the girl, and then left back into the alleys. He wanted badly to slay the Pimp and all of his kind, but knew that starting a fight right there would have caused a larger scene than he wanted and may have just ended up causing more trouble for the girls.
"I will deal with the agents of Hell," He whispered to himself. "My Lord will handle the misguided sinners, when their time comes."
