Old Ones Return (II)

Taiyo: "I know that."

Azuma: "There were bullet holes, if there's other evidence of firearms use it could indicate that there were other humans here."

E"I doubt it was the expedition team. Why wouldn't they head after the fleeing Digimon, or back to the Digital Gate?"

*Hearing Azuma's suggestion, she sifts through the ash with her feet, heading for a the frame of a nearby building.*

Kylie:<I don't know.>

*Cameron and Biyomon join Euryale is shifting though ash*

Azuma hunkers down to shift through, scooching along as he does so.

Azuma: "Any of you Digital Folk know how firearm using Digimon work their mojo? I can't imagine they function the same way as firearms in our world with ammunition and the like."

Hitomi looks inside the remains of a building.

D<They just shoot bullets. Their bullet data "reloads" over time, but other than that, I imagine it's basically the same.>

T"I don't think this is going to be any good. If there were humans here, then they must have taken time to remove evidence of their presence."

Azuma: "Talk about thorough."

Having found nothing, Hitomi walks away from the building.

Azuma: "Guess all we can do is follow the tracks."

Kylie:<I guess so.>

E"What the--?"

*After following the prints for about 50 feet, the tracks suddenly stopped abruptly, all at the same place.*

Koromon<They could have been destroyed.>

T"I suppose, but there's no sign of a struggle."

D<They probably escaped through one of the beams. They take you to different zones of the Digital World.

T"What? Why didn't you tell us this before?"

*She flaps her wings in a gesture that might be a shrug.*

D<You didn't ask.>

Lunamon:<We need to stay away from those.>

Cameron:<Clearly.>

Kylie:<So do we go back to the village then?>

Azuma: "Unless it was humans and they have the same gizmos we do."

D<What does that even have to do with anything? Do humans have claws & hooves? No. That was stupid. You're stupid. Shut up.>

T"Be nice."

D<He's verbally assaulting me with dumbness!>

*DemiDevimon stretches out & flaps her wings in an excited manner. Euryale sighs & rolls her eyes.*

E"What are we going to find back at the village?"

Kylie:<I don't know, but we shouldn't wander off. We could get stuck here.>

*Biyomon cracks a grin at Demidevimon*

Azuma: "Humans often wear boots and use guns when invading something. Shouldn't rule out the possibility."

E"I guess. We'll see if Hypnos sends us any new orders."

*DemiDevimon turns around on Thiera's shoulder so that she's facing away from Azuma. Then, when Thiera turns to head back to the village, she growls, & turns again.*

Patamon snickers when Azuma growls back.

Taiyo follows beside Euryale.

Taiyo: "So, are you doing anything tomorrow?"

*Everyone follows Thiera back to the village*

*Following along.*

E"Nope. Why, you wanna do something?"

*Kylie stares up at the sky as she walks*

Taiyo: "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out or something."

E"Oh, sure. What do you want to do?"

*While they're standing around, they see a point of white light form in the air. It gradually expands, pushing the scenery around it aside, until the space tunnel is reopened.*

Kylie:<Should we head back?>

Azuma: "Might as well."

Taiyo: "Go see a movie? What's there to do on a Saturday?"

E"I don't know, I guess we could do that."

D<Awesome, there's this new action flick that we've been dying to see, right Thiera?>

T"Huh? Oh, sure."

*They head for the Digital Gate.*

*They follow*

Taiyo looks confused.

I just wanted to be with Euryale.
