L"Senthose must have teleported them away."

*Once outside, Cassandra and Safian look around*

Noct lands by Lilith, and Zac soon joins them. "Gone?" Zac asked, to which Noct nodded, "Damn..."

"Um... okay?" Sab said, figuring, though not certain, that they weren't just going to use the bathroom.

~In the olde timey bathroom~

"So, it looks like Senthose turned himself into a dragon."

"There's no way Seraph could just go wild & sneak into the castle. And Senthose wouldn't come up with such a bold plan unless he gained a powerful ally. Someone has been covering for them."

"I know, the unoriginal bastard!" Mortal said.

"I think the fact that he is one is the bad thing, not that he has... taken your style," Sab said.

"Well, yea, but it is still rude."

"Could it be the church?" Zac asked.

*Cassandra and Safian head back inside*

"I've fought him before, I can see the difference. He's stronger, faster...& this means he can transform, right? Into an actual dragon?"

*Euryale looks unusually fearful at this prospect.*

"I don't know, perhaps."

"I think so," Mortal said, "Like Bremondt." She put a hand on Euryale's shoulder, "We're going to stop him though, I promise."

"Should we ask Aroma if she knows anyone who might back them?" Noct asked.

"And imply that we mistrust the church, and suspect them of treason?" Zac asked, "No, that might be a bad idea."

*Safian and Cassandra sit at a table*

Cassandra:<I wish I had my sword.>

Safian:<It wouldn't have done any good.>

*Euryale groans.*

"That's kind of what I'm worried about. And I don't think he'll be like Bremondt. He was a fat, squishy idiot. He probably only became so strong because it was his spell."

"We might ask her without implicating the Church. Couldn't hurt."

Cassandra:<Should we find my parents.>

Safian:<Nah.>

"Super Bremondt?!" Mortal was appalled.

"One would hope," Zac said, looking around, "Do you see her?"

"She's probably still inside."

*Lilith heads back to the entrance.*

*Aroma is, in fact, inside, brushing Taiyo's hair with her hand & cooing into her ear.*

Aroma<They're gone now. Everything's fine.>

"Well, I don't know how to say this, but...you're the only other Dragonkin around. How do we take him down?"

Noct and Zac follow after Lilith, since she is the boss lady.

"I don't know, regular things hurt me the same as anyone else," Mortal said.

Cassandra:<Come on.>

*She drags Safian into the crowd*

Taiyo: "I want to go back to the tavern."

Aroma<O-okay. I'll walk you back.>

*As she's walking out of the door, Lilith grabs her, & Aroma whirls on the spot & blasts fire at her. She coughs slightly & dusts soot out of her face, but is otherwise unharmed. Aroma raises an eyebrow.*

"Sorry, that was my fault, I should have known better than to sneak up on you after something like that...we were just wondering if you knew anyone who might want to harm Ivalice. We are positive that someone powerful is backing Senthose & Seraph."

Aroma<Last estimates I checked, Ramza Beoulve is the richest known heretic, with several million Gil. Plus, he has raided most of Ivalice's castles at one point or another. He could easily have enough notoriety to back a powerful band of mercenaries.>

*Euryale looks even more fearful.*

"Are you saying that he has no weaknesses?"

"What, no, I'm saying I don't see a reason why hitting him until he stops moving won't work," Mortal said.

"A good point, but do you have anyone else in mind?" Zac asked, "In the interest of not letting anything slip by."

*Cassandra finds her parents and drops Safian*

Cassandra's mother:<We're so glad you're alright.>

Safian:<Sure you are.>

"He was hard enough to take down even before he could breathe fire and all of that stuff. But if you don't know any specific counters to his abilities, then maybe we should go look for Noct & the others."

Aroma<No, I do not. Now, will you excuse me? I'm trying to take Taiyo home.>

Safian:<Any idea who those people were?>

*Cassandra's parents shake their heads*

"Uh, okay," Mortal said.

"Certainly," Zac said, moving out of her way should he have to.

*And so Aroma nods at them & takes Taiyo home. After they leave the gates, Aroma turns to her.*

Aroma<So, I've been waiting for a good time to ask you this: How would you like to return with me to Lionel?>

*Euryale heads out of the bathroom & searches for Lilith. She finds her re-entering the building, & heads for her.*

E"Did you find them?"

*Lilith shakes her head.*

E"So you have no idea where they might be headed?"

L"Our only lead is the new High Confessor."

Sieg<Why do you think they'd be after him?>

Taiyo: "W-w-what?"

"We've reason to believe he is involved in all of this," Zac said, "If we can get to him we should be able to figure out more of this mystery."
