"But... I don't like singing," Zac said, "I just wish there was another way to fly, with a ship perhaps."

L"That's absurd."

E"They say that flying ships existed in the time of myth."

L"Powered by fairies, no doubt."

E"...Fairies exist. You've seen me summon one multiple times."

L"I've never seen it make a ship fly."

*The others walk into town to see them arguing & heading towards an inn.*

"Looks like they're planning to stay the night."

Safian:<Should we stay at the same place?>

Cassandra:<They'd probably find out we were following them if we did.>

"It was just an idle fantasy, Lilith, but thank you for snatching it away, and bringing back to sobering reality..." Zac said.

"I think he is upset because he doesn't have a fairy powered flying chocobo carriage," Noct said.

Zac folded his arms, "I-- leave me alone, Noctis. I don't enjoy being made fun of."

"Life must be hard then," Noct said, chuckling away.

"I suppose we could just reveal ourselves. I can't think of any real reason not to, I just don't really feel like it."

L"I'm afraid I don't have time for flights of fancy."

E"I think you need to just relax, & enjoy yourself."

L"Then you have a very poor sense of pattern recognition. We tend to get attacked by assassins when I'm idle."

Zac opened his mouth to say something but bit his tongue, not wanting to get into an argument with Lilith. He couldn't avoid the bitter edge to his voice when he said, "Lilith is right." He then picked up pace and got to the inn ahead of the party, walking inside. "I need rooms for eight, and a stiff mug of ale," He said, sitting down at the bar.

"You made him throw a hissy fit, Lilith. He might even make you sleep on the couch," Noct said, still chuckling.

"I think you were both being a bit rude," Mortal said, "I mean, can we honestly say that there are no stranger things than flying ships when I'm sharing the road with you?"

"Mortal is right, you can still be on guard, and make idle conversation. I mean, you already were making conversation, just, instead of being nice every word you said was shooting down Zac and Euryale..." Sab added.

*Safian shrugs*

<They might get really mad and send us away. Or something.>

*Lilith points at Sab, opening her mouth & looking furious, but then just makes a "tch" noise, waves her off, & takes a seat next to Zac.*

L"Make that 2."

*Once she's gone, Aroma waddles off to the shopping district because this is incredibly awkward, & Sieg scratches his head.*

Sieg<Mayhap ale is the solution. It calms the nerves, & occupies the tongue.>

R"Then I suppose we'll just have to make accommodations at a different inn."

Noct shrugged, and whispered something in Sab's ear, causing her to blush. "That is a reward, not a punishment, and I don't want to punish you, I just don't like it when you're mean," She said.

Zac looked at his drink, which he only took one sip of before remembering ale sucked. He looked at Lilith, and passed her his drink, "You can have mine, I barely touched it. Look, I'm sorry. I overreacted. I get touchy sometimes, but I'd much rather make amends than brood over it while you're upset."

*Lilith downs the whole thing in a couple of gulps.*

L"Well, thank you, but I don't have any quarrel with you."

*She then snaps her fingers, before producing some Gil.*

L"Hey, I could still use another."

"Ah, well, that is good news," Zac said. He then added, "Remember to drink in moderation. As you yourself pointed out, we're going to need to be on our toes."

L"...Right...in that case, I'll just finish my ale as quickly as possible, & head up to the room."

"Drinking quickly will only worsen the alcohol's effect on you," Zac pointed out. He then stood up and said, "I'll head up ahead of you. I'll see you soon, beautiful."

*As he does when she stumbles up to the room & falls asleep. She wakes up intermittently throughout the night in a vain attempt to keep watch, until Euryale tells her that she, Sieg, & Mortal are taking shifts. The next day, she's still asleep past noon.*

*Roatha comes back into the inn, having checked to see if Lilith's group had left yet.*

After breakfast, the three head out to the next town.

*Safian and Cassandra had presumably followed*

Zac comes up to the room with an omelette, and a glass of water, "Lilith, it is time to wake up. I brought breakfast, er, lunch..."

Noct was downstairs, eating her eggs at a table, like someone who didn't have a hangover, "Why don't I ever get breakfast in bed?"

"You'll dirty the sheets," Sab said.

"Are you saying I'm a messy eater?" Noct asked, "I'm not Mortal or something."

Mortal looked over from her eggs, "You call me?"

"Just saying how much I love your hair. It looks great today."

Mortal smiled, and brushed some bangs behind her ear, "Aw, thanks, Noctis." She went back to eating her food. Sab just shook her head.

*Lilith puts a pillow over her head.*

"Ohhhh...stop yelling...."

*Euryale is eating near Mortal when a wild Aroma appears, putting her hands on their shoulders.*

<Hello, you 2. I have a favor to ask. There's gifts in it for you, if you accept.>

"Oh, I'm sure we don't need payment. What is the favor?"

<Last night, Lilith asked me to make her a new outfit. I believe she was quite inebriated, but I still decided to do it. Then I thought to myself, I would like for you all to have something to wear when we get to my castle. But, ah...I will need to measure you, of course.>

*Sieg, who had ordered twice as much steak & eggs as Mortal, seemingly on principle, raises an eyebrow, his face stuffed with dead animals.*

*They pass through the desert. Once they enter the canyon, they notice a bunch of half-eaten dragon corpses. Then a skeleton pops out! 3 of them, actually.*

Taiyo begins the Mincing Minuet while the other two take their alotted three steps.

Safian:<They were probably really tired.>

Zac lets out a small sigh, and rummages around the room before finding something to write with. Finding a small quill in his pouch, and the small journal he had, Zac wrote quickly what he had previously said, and added a little heart and smiley face. He left the note with her food, and said in a softer voice, "Please, try to wake up, beautiful."

Mortal shrugged, "Uh, alright, but we know our measurements. Can't we just tell you?"

Aroma<I guess, but that's not as much fu--accurate. Because...they might have changed.>

E"...I don't know my measurements."
