*Roatha has them duck into some stone ruins in the desert, because the others are still out in the canyon.*

"I have no problem with you hunting around for food, just don't eat humans," Mortal said, "When we get home I can probably provide you with cattle as a food source."

"Welcome back," Zac said, "Your lover is... uh, I don't know really. I was hoping you might help explain that."

*They do that*

*Euryale shrugs.*

E"How should I know?"

<Back where? This desert is my territory.>

Safian:<(I hope they move on soon.)>

"I suppose you could just stay out here, would you mind helping us out so long as we're in your territory?" Mortal asked.

"I just figured you'd know," Zac said with a shrug.

<That would be acceptable...but humans make for an important source of prey in these lands.>

E"I wasn't ever a dragon, in case you are confused on that point."

*After Aroma & Sieg wake up, Sieg winks at her, but she shuffles off of him as quickly as possible, shivering.*

"Well, I know that, but I just thought that she would clue you in to things like that," Zac said, "I feel like talking to dragons is a pretty big part of your life to just not talk about."

"I cannot force you to do anything while I am not here, but I ask that you don't eat humans," Mortal said, "It is rude. At the very least, only eat those that attack you first."

<Starvation usually comes before consideration, in my humblest opinion.>

E"Well, she, uh...I don't know."

"You are master of your domain," Mortal said, "I know what that entails. You should be able to eat enough, even without eating a single human. As I said before though, I cannot compel you to do anything when I am not here. I just ask that you respect my requests."

Zac felt bad now, "I wasn't trying to imply anything. I'm sure she tells you a bunch of things... like, uh... I don't know why I said 'like' as if I had an example to give..."

"She told me...she...uhh...."

<Very well.>

"Thank you, have a good day," Mortal turns to the group, "The dragon shall not harm us. It agreed to give us safe passage, and help us should we ever return through its territory."

"Oh, you can do that?" Zac asked.

Noct kind of put a hand on Euryale's shoulder, "It's alright, she doesn't have much to tell anyway."

E"I guess...."

L"You'll have to fill us in while we're on the road."

*Lilith begins the climb out of the canyon.*

And so Lilith leads a merry band of lesbians, two straight guys, and a bisexual out of a canyon.

*Lilith stops pretty much in the middle of Dorter.*

L"Alright, now the question is which way. If we go through Mullonde to Lionel, there are slightly fewer areas of wilderness, & we can take most of the trip by boat."

Aroma<However, we have to pass through the Fenlands. I don't think that's such a good idea. Plus, isn't it wiser to get your shelter in order before you go visiting the High Confessor? After all, who knows how long it could take to be granted an audience.>

"I would rather avoid Mullonde, honestly," Sab said.

L"I intend to see if Seraph...will strike there."

"Do you really think he will?" Sab asked.

*Lilith watches to make sure that Aroma & Sieg are preoccupied with a side conversation.*

L"(...Imagine someone sends you out on a mission, literally shoots you in the back, & you're left to live off of the wilderness for 20 or 30 years. Now imagine that you have all the sanity of a brick, & the disposition of a Behemoth with a sword up its nose. Tell me what you think you would do?)"

Sab shrunk back from Lilith and nodded, "Y-yeah, I guess you're right..."

E"In any case, it's getting kind of late. Perhaps we should get rooms at the inn, & resume this trip in the morning?"

Safian:<Ok, should we follow now?>

"I can live with that," Noct said, "I'm fine to rest for today."

"How could you be tired? All you did was float around," Zac said.

"You try dancing for the entirety of a skirmish," Noct said, "You're just mad because I can actually fly, Mr. Sky Pirate."

"Hey, that isn't fair..." Zac frowns.
