The Arrival

*Now he comes to the police station. Since it's the front area, most are doing paperwork. He hears the occasional ring from deeper in the building.*

"Hey, Sab, are we still going to Noct's for cake tonight?"

*Euryale & Taiyo are now walking in the direction of downtown.*

*Eve adds these numbers to her contacts then calls Thiera*

*Cameron checks his phone about every 5 seconds, waiting for Astarte to text back*

*Tirea texts the number that keeps texting her*

HEY ASSHOLE STOP IT.

Taiyo: "Soup sounds nice. Or that place we went to before. They had that really good stew."

Grimm looked for someone who looked as though they could direct him to the officer who responded to his call.

As Astarte entered the dorms, she remembered the notifications she had gotten while in-call and took out her phone.
Oh, no, I'm alright. She didn't do much besides run away.

"Well, then, let's go there. I'm in a burger kind of mood, anyway."

*Soon after she sends that, there is suddenly a cacophony of loud thumping noises from upstairs.*

*A man with a douchey little moustache stops his paperwork to stare at Grimm.*

*After Cameron sends that, he joins Tirea and Monu racing upstairs to see what is going on*

Noct came down stairs to find Asatrte, "Oh, hey there. Good to see you again." She pointed back upstairs, "Lets get going."

Sab nodded, "Sure, I'd love to. Cake sounds great."

Just hanging out with a friend.
"Hey," Astarte said as she met with Noct, then followed her back to the dorm room. "Okay."

"I am Father Isaac Grimm," Grimm said. "I called earlier to report vandalism in my church. I would like a word with the police officer who responded to that call."

Astarte is treated to the sound of some liquid, set loud enough to just be heard everywhere in the dorm, but loudest in her room. "I have my computer unlocked, so you can put something you like on if you want to listen to something else," Noct said as she rolled her sleeves back up and pulled her batter out of the fridge. She grabbed the whisk and went back to stirring, "Do you like chocolate?"

*He starts typing away at the computer.*

<Hey, Jane!>

*The woman cop from before enters from a back office.*

Jane<What?>

<This guy wants you.>

Jane<Sir, that would be very unprofessional.>

"That's good."

*Aroma texts back, "We're in, when do you want us to come over?"*

"Do you think we were any good?"

*As they approach the stairs, they hear several footsteps running down the steps towards them, & banging on the walls as they go.*

"Oh...hi, what is it?"

Grimm gave the woman a curious look and then spoke, "I've brought something for you. Two things, in fact, but only one is tangible."

"This is fine," Astarte said. "And yeah, I do."

Taiyo: "All right."

Azuma: "Hungry."

Mimiru: "Then go to the cafeteria or something."

"Great," Noct said with a smile. She looked down as her phone gave an alert, and let out a small sigh, "Hate to put you to work, but can you give me a hand? Stir the batter for a few seconds while I answer this really quickly." She walks over and hands Astarte the bowl, then answers Aroma by sending the message, "Great, but I'm not sure. I'll let you know when everything is ready. Shouldn't be too late though. Say hi to Sab for me."

Sab blushed, "Good at... uh... sex?" She whispers the last word as if even saying it was naughty. "I mean, I really liked it. I think you were really good?" Sab ran a hand through her hair, "Sorry if I was bad or something..."

<Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to please leave. And please don't try this pitch again after hours, I'm really not interested.>

"No, I was just wondering what we were like, uh, in general."

*She looks down, then types, Ok .*

"Also, Noct says, 'hi.'"

*And so they find themselves sitting in this weird hybrid diner/family place again.*

"So, I've been thinking...I should probably tell you that I don't live in this country ordinarily. I only go to school here."

Taiyo: "Oh...so you'll be leaving at some point?"

"I'm going to have to ask you not to be silly," Grimm said, lifting the plastic bag. "This is related to the attack on my church. I also have a name for you to investigate if you care to listen."

Astarte accepted the bowl and got to work.

Noct checked her phone again, and decided that she didn't need to reply to Aroma that time. She put her phone down and walked behind Astarte, putting a hand on her shoulder, then leaning forward pressing herself against Astarte's back. Noct reached over with her other hand and dipped a finger into the batter then licked her finger clean, "Mmm, it is good." She dipped her finger in again, "Wanna taste? Cake batter is better than cake if you ask me."

For some reason the mention of Noct during a conversation about sex made Sab feel threatened, "Well, I don't know. I'm sure I'm no Noctis, but I didn't think I was that bad." At 'Noctis' she makes jazz hands.

Jane<Oh...well, I can take the name, but I don't know what you want me to do with that.>

*She points at the bag.*

"...What about Noctis?"

"Unless I move to Germany after school, I guess. Oh, & I do have to go home when I'm not taking classes, unless I get an apartment here."

Taiyo: "So you might be able to stay?"

"Yeah, I guess," Astarte said, entirely missing the point of Noct's actions.

"The chunk of rock in this bag is partially covered with a strange substance which is also scrawled all over my walls," Grimm said. "It is extremely hard to clean- I'll probably have to repaint- and I thought you might be able to find out what it is. It might help you find who did it and it might help me figure out how to get rid of it."

Noct giggled, and walked into the kitchen to rummage through a cabinet.

"I don't know, I'm just... Did you like it?" Sab asked.

*Jane stares at him like he's retarded.*

Jane<I am not a cleaning service, and I really doubt that is a valuable clue. What do you want me to do, ask it what its name is?>

"Maybe...I'm sorry, I meant to cheer you up, but I guess I dropped kind of a bomb on you. I just thought that you needed to know."

"Yes...I never said that I didn't...."

Taiyo: "It's okay. Better now than later, right?"

She looks down and wipes her eyes with her sleeve and looks back up.

Taiyo: "Maybe I can help you find an apartment at some point. If you decide to stay that is."

*They wait at the bottom of the steps*

*Eve pauses for a second before continuing*

{I just lost the will to study, and thus was wondering what you, Roatha, and Nero were up to.}

"I don't mean to be rude, and I certainly don't know as much as you in this field, but I thought perhaps you could have whatever the substance is identified," Grimm said. "And once you knew that, you could find out where it is available and if it is even usually used for petty vandalism. Is that something that would be useful to do?"

The broad grin Astarte was now wearing faltered and darkened for a moment, before being forced to return. She was glad that Noctis was doing something else and didn't notice.
