<They call their procedure "BioHybridization." The form of Digivolution that I know of is called "BioMerging." I do not know if it can be maintained indefinitely. It is reversible, and very hard to achieve.>

T"And we won't be dead if we keep going? The Gate is gone, I heard Kurata got shot, & now this? I was told...that we're up against 10 Ultimate Level BioHybrids, each a sadistic human criminal on their downtime, & an army of high-tech weaponery &...& zombified Digimon with parts of the D-Reaper in them. What can we possibly do to meet that level of force?"

*Kurata knocks on the door. He is carrying a bouquet of various colored tulips.*

Kurata<I'm not interrupting anything, am I? I just dropped by to see how Euryale is doing.>

*Cameron covers his face with his hands*

T"I don't want it to come to that. I should go see Kylie. I'll be back in a minute."

*She leaves the room, DemiDevimon flying after her. Kurata approaches, setting the flowers down on Euryale's bedside table. He pushes up his glasses & smiles politely.*

Kurata<Is something wrong, Taiyo? You know I'm willing to listen to any of your problems.>

*Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Koromon regresses yet another level. Botamon droops & looks pained, but other than that shows no sign of moving.*

*Lunamon has woke up, and is staring down at the unconsciousness Kylie*

Renamon slumba against the bathroom door.

This pain is unbearable. She's never hurt like this before. This is the first time I've known her to cry.

*That's when Thiera comes in, DemiDevimon perched on her shoulder.*

T"She's...still okay, right?"

*He briskly walks out of the room. No one notices his sneer.*

Mrs. Sorenson:<We don't know anything, but she's still alive.>

Taiyo wipes her eyes on her sleeve, feeling a little optimistic about Kurata's words.

"That's good...but...Euryale's...not...."

Kurata<I'm afraid there was no mistake.>

Doctor<We ran 3 scans, just to be sure. They all pointed irrefutably in the same direction. But there's another reason I came back: I just got off of the phone with Euryale's parents. They're going to be taking her off of life support this Friday at 5.>
