Appearance: Kyohaku is quite tall and in rather good shape, perhaps as a direct result of the fact that he has to stay in shape in order to ride Light Cycles. A tousled mess of brown hair flutters about this way and that over his sharp face, matching in contrast to his reddish eyes.

He generally wears a high collared uniform with black gloves and pulled over cuffs. The stiff jacket clasps at the front, and matches a pair of fitting dark pants. These pants are usually worn over the tops of heavy boots that are only visible through the bottom of his cuffs.

Over the top of these pants he wears a pair of festooned belts that bear a series of clasps and grommets. Perhaps the most notable aspect, still, are the necklaces with prominent amulets that he wears about his neck. Many of these are aspects of his old life and symbols given to him by those from his old village that he's now sworn to defend.

When having transformed into his Keyblade Armor, Kyohaku wears spindly plates of golden white shell. Having an almost polished appearance, the aforementioned plates reflect the light that's so important to his style. A full helmet comes over his head that continues the spindly almost avian look, with a clear lavender guard coming over the front of the mask to protect his eyes and mouth in the heat of combat without unnecessarily obscuring his vision.

Type: Human
Homeworld(s): Space Paranoids, though he works out of the base of operations in the Land of Departure
Reason(s): The Light Cycle gang he used to hang around with in Space Paranoids was attacked before he joined the Order. As a result there are few things he opposes nearly as greatly as the manifest evil that disrupted his old life in the days before.

Bio: Growing up in Space Paranoids with a rebellious personality and a penchant for fast vehicles just seemed to fit so well. Kyohaku had everything that he needed in the crowd that he used to run with. He was able to trade in the various types of technology that were present on the streets of his aforementioned home world, and had a great time risking life and limb on throwing discs and riding deadly machinery.

Of course, all good things must come to an end as they say and the technological paradise that he so loved was spoiled by the encompassing evil that has so violently assaulted the rest of the land around them. Even the most detached of areas eventually fell victim to evil. Even if Kyohaku wasn't exactly seen as the kind of guy that the more ordered elements of his neighborhood might have associated with, he had the advantage of being very streetwise as a result of his own associations.

More than that, though, he had the drive to defend his village because of what he had seen. Regardless of who he might have had a falling out with in the past, he was ready to stand up and protect the town in spite of any of that. Perhaps this was why he had come into possession of the Photon Debugger.

Naturally it only makes sense that one who has come into the possession of a Keyblade should join the Order if his alignment is so structured as to do so. Having been approached, it was only a matter of time before he joined, albeit not a moment too soon. Had Kyohaku been allowed to run about and do as he pleased, he probably would have ended up killing himself. He had certainly needed some manner in which to focus his abilities and train appropriately with that Keyblade to harness the power that he had been so gifted with.

Since that time he's primarily operated out of the Land of Departure since he became a member of the organization. Those he's intensely proud of his work, that doesn't mean that he doesn't miss his old hometown. Working on assignment can be lonely and thankless, so it's taken a huge paradigm shift from his old wolf pack mentality from the old days.

Keyblade: Photon Debugger
Glider: When Kyohaku dons his armor he's able to traverse the lanes by riding on a Solar Sailer. Similar to the ones used in his home world, the Sailer is a rigged blue ship that rides on waves of photonic energy instead of the wind. As a result, the rigging is attached to sails that actually catch the quantum particles that make up light. This provides propulsion in the path that the light stream is heading toward. Though the ship is fast, it's also extremely dangerous and that's a dichotomy that suits him only all too well.

Style: When most people consider legends they think of warriors of light as gracious beings that strike down evil-doers from on high, but this analysis is completely unlike what Kyohaku has become. Rather than a warrior of philosophical light, it's far more literal when applied to him. He learns attacks based on the heat and energy of light and is learning to manipulate it quite literally. Rather than adhering to the abovementioned philosophical aspects of what a light warrior should be, the fieriness of stars and other sources of light are far more appealing to his personality.

This makes the drawbacks to his abilities quite obvious as well. While light is impervious to temperature, it can be rendered useless by any methods that suck away light. Servants of darkness who take the term darkness as literally as he takes light can withdraw and neutralize his light beams. It's additionally important to remember that these are beams. If someone had a shield that could withstand his power they could merely remain in the shadow behind it where they would render his attacks completely useless.

Abilities include =

Star Formation: This technique creates a blinding flash that stuns the opponent by temporarily blinding them. It's more effective against those who tend to dwell in extremely dark places, but those who are used to well-lit environments can often put up a resistance.

Since these formations do little permanent damage, they often have to be strung together in a series of attacks to make an effective multi-hit combination.

Pulsar: Through use of gestures, a series of repeating low-impact 5 1/2" spheres of what appears to be electrical energy are released. While they lack a great deal of explosive yield, they make up for it in the ability to continuously regenerate. This makes them useful for situations where waves of enemies continuously attack in a consistent assault. The spheres can maintain a constant size and rate as long as he has energy to hold up the attack, which adds to their usefulness in this sort of situation.

Light Orbit: With a strike of the Photon Debugger Keyblade, Kyohaku creates a stream of superheated plasma that hurtles toward the opposition at incredible speeds befitting a being that manipulates light as a source of power.

Unlike the Star Formation attack, Light Orbit is a single strong maneuver. That makes it impossible for Kyohaku to use it in rapid succession.

Supernova: By unleashing the full power of the Photon Debugger Keyblade, Kyohaku is able to create a large explosion in a radius around him that resembles the explosion of dying stars. While the power is immense, in doing so he also takes a great deal of damage as well as the opposition.

This makes use of the attack heavily reliant on adequate strategy. When he was first learning how to use the Photon Debugger, he nearly blew himself up on more than one occasion.

Other: In the region of Atlantica, Kyohaku takes the form of a merman who developed a long white scaly gossamer koi fish tail that was speckled with orange spots. The area where his body and tail attach is completely with an upward flourish of flesh that seemed to be made from the same material as a koi's fins. Likewise his motions seem to mimic those famous ornamental fish darting back and forth through the recreational ponds that they were so often kept in for meditative enjoyment.

Appearance: Cedric can usually be seen in a loose, worn and dirty faded grey tunic with missing buttons near the collar. For pants he wears black slops which stop at the lower shin area, and brown leather boots which extend far enough to expose only a slight amount of skin in between. Covering the top half of his body is a dark brown, tattered cloak with a hood. The cloak itself extends only to the waist and isn't particularly thick, but can still extend all the way around his torso if he wishes to cover himself for whatever reason.

Cedric has messy black hair that reaches down to the shoulders, which he typically lets anything happen to it that happens to it; he doesn't care much about how his hair looks.

His eyes are black, with a constant look of mischief and greed within.

He stands at 6'1”, and more on the lanky side with a weight of 158.

His Keyblade Armor is a complete set of black plate mail with a gold trim. On the helmet is a golden V-shaped crest, and protruding from the shoulders of the armor are small metallic demon wings for decoration. Lastly, a black and gold cape that reaches the knees is attached to the armor. Because capes are cool.

Reason(s): Hasn't joined yet. If Cedric were to join, it would be for fame, fortune and to become powerful enough to attain anything he wishes through raw strength rather than cunning.

Bio: Cedric grew up in Port Royal as a homeless peasant, abandoned by his parents from an early age. He made his living with other thieves and vagabonds to make a dishonest living on the streets. He would pickpocket, scam or mug whoever seemed gullible enough with help and training from shady individuals of the slums.

As he grew, so too did his ambitions. He wanted more out of life, so he sought a crew to join. Going from tavern to tavern, he found acceptance as a deck hand among the pirates of the Pale Kraken. The crew, ruled with an iron fist by a man by the name of Oswald Brimsworth, was about to set out for adventure to new lands. Conveniently, they were in dire need of more deck hands to do all the things that the more renowned of the crew didn't want to do.

Cedric took a liking to the crew of the Pale Kraken over the years; learning battle strategy, swordsmanship and how to aim and fire a gun effectively, he became Oswald's first mate as the older members began to die off in fights on the sea.

With their captain becoming older over the years and likely to die one way or another in the upcoming years, the Pale Kraken has returned once more to Port Royal for a few nights of merriment before they set out on the captain's last voyage in search of amazing riches to send him off with.

Cedric is 23 years old, and the crew has just docked in Port Royal. With the news that he'll probably be the next captain after Oswald's retirement, he's unsure of whether to continue running with the crew while bearing the responsibility of having to lead.

Currently he has no allegiance to either the Organization or Order.

Glider: A smaller version of the Pale Kraken, roughly the size of a life raft, propelled forward by a jet engine on the back of the ship. There are cannons on the broadsides that fire medium balls of energy, exploding on contact. The tip of the ship has another cannon that fires a straight beam of energy forward. These weapons can be activated by buttons on the steering wheel.

Style: Summed up in a word, swashbuckler. Cedric is quick, agile and dextrous. He usually prefers evasion rather than defense, and getting in two quick and precise strikes to weak points instead of one very strong and predictable attack. When using a blade of any kind he fights with an elegant fencing style, either rushing the opponent before they can react or waiting for them to attack before delivering a well-placed countering strike.

In terms of elements, Cedric's main element is water/ice with another particular preference for lightning. His abilities will have a high lean towards offensive skills, counters and self buffs centered around further increasing his attack power or speed.

You probably already know this, but you have to make up individual attacks. Also, Port Royal happens to exist in the same world as Atlantica. 

I like how he looks exactly like Monu if Monu was a bum.

To elaborate on this, an ability must be something that can't be ordinarily performed, i.e. "stabs & then cuts upward" is not an ability. They must each have an individual name & function, i.e. 2 abilities should not do the same thing. A new ability should also not render an old ability redundant, e.g. don't sign up an ability that "heals poison" & another that "heals all status ailments" unless the latter ability has something like a long casting time in order to compensate.

When it comes to attacks, "small" means about the size of a baseball or less, "medium" means about the size of a basketball, "large" means about the size of an average person, & "very large" is anything bigger.

Area of effect magic needs to be specific, e.g. "a diameter of 6 feet." The ability will affect ANYTHING in that region EXCEPT (unless otherwise specified) the user & anything practically on top of them. The only way to make abilities that "only affect enemies" is to have them target specific features, e.g. "only hits heartless." Friendly fire is a thing in this RP.

Buffs, or really anything that implies a relative increase or decrease in abilities, should have a specific indicator, e.g. "this ability makes him half as likely to be affected by poison" or "this ability increases his strength so that he can throw small or medium enemies with his attacks & stagger large ones."

You can sign up more abilities as the RP goes on, at any time, & could theoretically even start out with none...however, fanmade Keyblades are not accepted in this RP.

There is actually a list of the Keyblades that have already been claimed in the More KH Stuff topic.

The passive skills are too overpowered. Basically any time he's attacked physically he gets a free hit AND his next attack causes stagger.

If you recall, Kyohaku has a particularly strong attack that causes harm to himself when unleashed. Do you think something like this might help to balance things out a little?

Decided Thiera should make a foray into Time Magic:

Stop: Gold & silver hourglass-shaped chains shoot out of the Keyblade, binding & stopping a single target. Chains slowly dissolve, disappearing after 12 seconds.

Stopra: Spins with the Keyblade, creating the glowing, golden image of a sun dial beneath her. The Stop chains emerge to bind anyone within as the clock ticks down 12 seconds. However, it can be blocked by most barriers.

Relativity: If she is standing within 2 feet of a scene, she can cause it to rewind by rotating her Keyblade counter-clockwise in its general direction. This can be kept up for until the targets are out of range. After, any attackers' affected will be slowed & any defenders hastened. Obviously cannot work on herself.
