*I'm sure they could, if they were creative, but in any case, the convulsions begin to subside. Flamedramon bats at the fish, sending a wave of fire through them. A bunch of charred fish fall to the ground, before exploding into data. Flamedramon follows soon after, as the Darkness Wave rips through him.*

*After following a series of shifting walkways, they wind up on the ground floor of the city, which of course is covered in metal tiles. Walking in front of them is a man, presumably in his early 20's, with shoulder-length reddish-brown hair, some of it tied in a ponytail, as well as an Agumon with wrist wraps. Both are wearing brown cloaks that conceal most of their bodies.*

Datamon<Excuse me, "Boss," you have visitors.>

*And so, its task complete, the Datamon scurries off. The human turns around.*

<Hm? Other people...where'd you come from? Does this mean that the barrier between the worlds is finally lifted?>

Monodramon absorbs the data and looks about for another opponent.

Azuma: "A barrier has lifted. Or was torn open."

*Cameron shakes his head*

<Not really. You see, we're from a different human/digital world.>

Karatenmon:<A man named Kurata is wrecking havoc there.>

*They again try and stand up*

*The human punches the closest building, the noise reverberating through the whole city. He grinds his teeth.*

Human<KURATA!>

Agumon<You're serious? You've really met him?>

*Tsune checks her D-Power.*

<Looks like every Digimon in this area has been destroyed. There are a few left on the outskirts of town, though.>

*Karatenmon nods*

<Kurata and his mercenaries.>

Cameron:<We thought he was on our side, then betrayed us and kidnapped my sister and her partner.>

Lyra:<Shall go take care of them too?>

Azuma: "Both human and Digimon form."

Monodramon: "Of course."

Hideki looks at his D-Power and readies to set off in that direction.

<Yeah, that's him alright...we smashed up most of his bases a long time ago, but we found one around here recently. Decided to leave it alone, since no one's around to use it anymore. Maybe it'll have something that can help you put him back in his place.>

*Turns out that's pretty damn far away. They walk through streets full of broken glass & craters, the subways roped off with police tape.*

Cameron:<Can you show us where the base is?>

*Lyra and Kotemon keep up a fast pace*

<Either you have any idea what the hell is going on?>

Azuma: "Isn't it a bit reckless to be leaving a place like that lying around?"

*He points at Azuma.*

<You pickin' a fight with me?>

"I wouldn't, you'd lose. I'm not even sure if I could beat him."

G<I have one idea, but it's completely out there.>

"What about this situation seems normal to you?"

G<Point taken. I think that bird Digimon was Zuquaiomon.>

"Who?"

G<One of the Sovereigns. He's basically a God.>

"And what could fight a God to a standstill? Another God?"

G<Close. Probably a Demon Lord. I'm not sure which one, though.>

"But why would they be having it out in our world?"

G<Iunno.>

Azuma holds his hands up in a "take it easy" gesture.

Azuma: "Woah, buddy. No harm in asking a question."

Monodramon: "The barriers between worlds must be weak."

Karatenmon:<We should probably get moving.>

Lyra:<Ok, so what are we going to do?>

<We've got an important job to do right now. I'll clobber you for your poor manners later.>

*He & his Agumon head off to a sort of dark alley, where the city is more broken up than the pristine steel constructs that they've seen so far.*

*Lyra and Kotemon do that*

*Cameron turns to the others, confused as to what he's supposed to do*

Azuma: "What a hothead."

OOC: The Digimon in this section would have regressed to get through that hallway, don't derp.

E"You're really asking for trouble, you know that?"

*He indicates a hole in the wall. It is partly covered by ivy, but most of it has been ripped away & tossed on the ground, where it's dried & sunbaked.*

*As everyone ducks, shuriken pass over them & embed in the ground.*

"It's...gone."

*A Shurimon appears between them, spreading a tornado of leaves that they can see slice into the ground like its shuriken.*

Azuma: "I'm stating the obvious."

Salamon: "You're not knowing when to keep quiet."

Hideki: "Lot of Armor-level Digimon."

Monodramon attacks Shurimon with Darkness Wave.

*Cameron grins, hoping Azuma will get his ass kicked by Marcus*

*Kotemon jumps forwards and swings his sword, attacking with hothead*

<There's a computer back here, & --hey, are you coming, or would you like to take your beating now?>

*Marcus produces a stick from his cloak, which Agumon shoots a Pepper Breath at to turn into a torch. He then heads in, illuminating pipes on the walls, heading further in. He then turns around when he realizes that no one is following him.*

*Okay, everyone is blown back & cut up by razor-edged leaves, Gomamon's fishes being the main thing that keep them from cutting too deep, but Monodramon does manage to burn away one of Shurimon's pauldrons with Darkness Wave. Shurimon does not let up, throwing more shuriken at the humans. He also draws his large shuriken & holds it like a shield, charging Monodramon.*

And so they all follow.

Hideki dives and rolls. When he rights himself, he swipes the Knights Device giving Monodramon a lance which he jabs at Shurimon with.

*Lyra drops to the ground, while Kotemon attacks with his flaming sword. Again*

*They are on the ground, so I'm just going to assume that she rolled away. As does Tsune. Shurimon powers through the attacks, using the Kusanagi as a shield. Since Gomamon doesn't have a weapon, it chucks it at him, then calls its other shuriken back & turns to attack Kotemon & Monodramon with its extendo-arms. Gomamon uses Marching Fishes to divert the course of the Kusanagi enough to dodge it.*

*Euryale does so. Thiera examines a depression that a bunch of wires are coming out of.*

T"I think that this interfaces with the Space Oscillation Devices."

E"Too bad Kurata blew all of ours up. So, what should I look for, anyway?"
