Noctis frowned a bit, "Then I shall return to the others. I look forward to hearing from you again." With that Noct hung up and headed back to the rest of the group.

"Ah, Noctis, welcome back," Gabe said, noticing her walk in.

"Hello, Keter agreed to give us three cars to use," Noct said, then, looking at Euryale, "She also said that she spoke with Tenzin and corroborated your story, and that she looked into Saxeus. Apparently all she could dig up was that he isn't from Ba Sing Se."

E"Good, good...and not too surprising. Ba Sing Se's control of the rest of the Kingdom has been weak for centuries. It wouldn't surprise me if the Dai Li themselves snuck back in after the War. Zolt seemed oblivious to Saxeus's involvement with the scheme, but he could have been from one of the tribes or kingdoms that have quarreled with the United Forces over the years."

*Once she's outside, her attention is caught by a fire blast destroying an upper story window, followed by what looks like a giant bat swooping out of it & an officer jumping out of the window & sliding down the side of the building like one might drift across an icy plane.*

"Okay, then," Astarte smiled at Roatha before Noct came back, and proceeded to listen quietly.

Stefan went back to Hector and Eduj, content with his eavesdropping.

*Eve stares, trying to figure out what the fuck is going on*

"Indeed," Noct said, "So, has it been decided who is going with who?"

E"Who is going with whom. I'm taking Roatha & Astarte up to the industrial sector. We thought that you should go see if he's by the bay. Venezuela & Tirea are going to stay here to watch over the Triple Threat trio, but Monu is available, & if you want to borrow Mortal for some extra protection, I think we'll understand."

*He eventually lands nearby as the figure puts on a burst of jet propulsion, disappearing from sight when she extinguishes it several blocks down.*

Noct looked at Ven, then back to Euryale, "Monu and I should be plenty."

*Eve approaches the officer*

*By the time Euryale starts driving them up the bridge, it's late evening.*

R"I'm noticing there's no cops around here. What's up with that?"

E"Yeah, you're right. Maybe something took them out. Shine a light out of the window, see if you can see anything."

*So Roatha rolls the window down & sticks a flaming hand out, at which point he jerks back at the sudden appearance of one of the scary biker dudes. As far as they can tell, he doesn't follow them.*

R"I saw...a creepy guy in a mask...he was just...sitting there, on a motorcycle...."

E"Purists. No, what are they calling themselves now? Equalists."

*She smacks her hand on the dashboard.*

E"They're the ones in the tunnels!"

R"What? And what makes you say that."

E"There are people using the tunnels for...something. The Agni Kais stole some maps a while ago, but we didn't find them when they were busted. But they DID tell us that the Purists raided them before we got there!"

*Noctis is presumably driving her team to the bay area. Peculiarly, as she passes by Gabe's apartment complex, she notices that all of the windows that she can see have been smashed & the door has been left open. Also, there are no cars parked nearby.*

V"I suggest we stay in the room that looks out to the car, to make sure that they don't try to steal it. What kind of music do you want to listen to? Do you want anything to eat or drink?"

*Eve shakes her head*

Tirea:<Uh, I think I'm good, thanks though. Shouldn't we also watch Astarte's cousin and friends?>

"Are the Equalists very dangerous?" Astarte asked. "The Purists were, are they any different now?"

"They claim to have changed, but there really isn't any way to know for sure," Mortal said, "And if they're sneaking around the sewers then they might be scheming something."

Noct looked up at the smashed windows, wondering if Senthose would have any reason to go there. She figured that she couldn't just go to their hideout and find them that way.

Remembering that Monu was there she offered up, "They said their place was ransacked before, but I didn't think it was that bad."

"We don't want them to know that we're watching them. And I don't really want to risk having to talk to them."

*She then switches on the radio.*

*The cop tries to do some kind of Bending Move, but while he's flailing his arms about, Senthose waves his hand & makes a fist, causing the snow to rise up over him in a heap & compress down into cloudy ice.*

R"Well, if they're scaring off the cops, then at least we know that thing about them being almost gone is a lie."

E"They're definitely preparing for something big."

*As if on cue, a bunch of concealed flash bombs go off in the middle of the road. Blinded, Euryale swerves into a snowbank. The next thing they know, bikers are prying open the doors. They try to tie up Mortal & Euryale & the person in the back seat drivers' side with bolas, with the other passengers being blocked from their reach by the snow bank. Roatha pulls Astarte close to him & shoots a blast of fire like he would lightning into the mask of the Chi Blocker after Mortal's that chick's ass.*

Monu:<It was quite bad earlier.>

*Eve tries to distance herself from Senthose*

He's not THAT bad looking in person.

Astarte stretched both hands towards the snow-obstructed side of the car and clenched both hands down hard, freezing it into a large block.

Probably attracted by the scary music, Hector walked in about then and glanced around the room without saying anything.

"Oh, that is right, you went with them," Noct said, continuing on down the road, "How exactly did you get mixed up in this anyway?"

Gabe tried to shoot a blast of fire at her aggressor as well. As she does she scrambles out of the car so that she could have more room to defend herself.

Much like Roatha, Mortal shoots a stream of fire with her right hand at the Chi Blocker attempting to attack Euryale.

*The Chi Blocker rolls around in the snow, because his mask is broken & he's slightly on fire. Euryale kicks, & her attacker also goes rolling out. Nearby is a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] who looks like he has a big 2 way radio strapped to his back. Because he has a big 2 way radio strapped to his back. As he speaks into a mouth piece in his hand, they note that he is flanked by a quartet of similar riders.*

<They're not who we thought. It's Red & White. What should we do?>

*To emphasize his point, he holds out his hands, prompting tendrils of snow to raise up like wriggling snakes or fingers all around her.*

Astarte opened and closed her fists again and made a hard pulling motion towards herself, pulling the block of ice against the car to try and right its tilt.

"So, where is everyone?" Hector asked.

Since there are two douche bags rolling around on the ground, Gabe takes the opportunity to fire off a bolt of lightning into each.

Since Mortal is still trapped she looks around to see if everyone is alright.

"Getting rid of anyone who can tell my enemies about my monthly cycles."

*He stares off to the side at something or other, furrowing his brow.*

"...Monthly Bending cycles."
