Old Ones Return (V)

*Crescemon dedigivolves and looks upset, then goes with Kylie and Cameron to check on the injured digimon*

Still pretty pissed off, Cyberdramon hits the bubble again.

*The bubble literally pops, dissipating into sparks. Tsune looks over.*

Ts"If it was that easy to break out, why didn't you do it before? Idiot."

G<Tsune...it probably weakened when that guy teleported away.>

D<He called himself "Netzach.">

*She pulls hunks of diamond out of herself & Thiera heals the wounds.*

T"And Gomamon is correct. Those programs that they use are like Digi-Modifications. They can only be used close to the D-Power or the Digimon it is linked to."

Venusmon<I protect my children from the violence out there. Take your battles elsewhere.>

*She ties her hair back again & heads back across the water while the dove follows her. Euryale steps out in front of her.*

E"Um--I just--uh--I wanted to say--that you were--"

*Venusmon starts to push her out of the way. Once she's touched, Euryale spontaneously grabs her around the waist with both arms. Venusmon continues to try to coax her out of the way.*

A<You were really great out there!>

Azuma: "She looks upset."

Patamon: "Who does?"

Azuma: "Venusmon. Taiyo."

Kylie:<We...didn't mean to bring the fighting here.>

*Lunamon hugs her leg, while Cameron takes a step towards Venusmon, only to be stopped by Biyomon*

<Nope.>

IL<We're truly sorry. We meant to keep the enemy away, but-->

ML<Reg should've known better than to pick a fight.>

*Regulumon growls at him & LadyDevimon looks down, guiltily. Meanwhile, Venusmon manages to pry Euryale off & forces her arms around Taiyo instead. This prompts Euryale to look over & frown.*

E"What's wrong, Honey?"

Ts"Hey, I thought that Datamon said that looking away from Venusmon wouldn't break the spell?"

ML<It's complicated.>

*IceLeomon holds a paw out to Venusmon as she's walking past, but she doesn't stop.*

IL<M'lady, I must protest. Kurata is a devious tactician, I'm certain that he will devise a way across this river, & few of your children can turn his army away without actually fighting. Given his sheer numbers-->

Venusmon<Sacrificing my children will help, how? Will Olive will escort you out, now?>

*The dove flies over IceLeomon in a circle.*

Lyra:<What do you mean by "complicated?">

Taiyo: "N....nothing."

*MadLeomon shrugs.*

ML<Love is complicated. Let's go.>

*He & IceLeomon start towards the water, which essentially parts to let them through. Seeing this, Tsune & Gomamon follow.*

E"Are you sad that we're being kicked out? I am, too. But we need to keep Netzach away from here."

Taiyo: "Yeah...."

*Kylie and Lyra help Biyomon drag Cameron away*

IL<That could have gone better. I guess we'll just have to find a way to protect the temple without going near it.>

E"Okay--but can we do it later? I'm just starting to feel better."

A<Well, I'm not.>

*IceLeomon turns to see Agumon clutching his stomach & sitting down, Euryale sniffing with one arm around Taiyo while she uses her other hand to rub her eyes, & DemiDevimon slumped with her wings covering her eyes & being carried by Thiera. Tsune & Gomamon are fine, the former walking along the bank of a stream while the latter goes for a swim.*

IL<I appreciate that this is a tough time for you all, but we don't know how much time we have. Right now, we don't even have shelter.>

T"Um--in her defense--Euryale has been making a lot of decisions. For a long time. There are a lot of us, so I think that we can manage while some of us take some time off. And, if we can't, we really have a problem."

*Cameron shakes himself*

Kylie:<Feeling better?>

*Lyra and Kotemon go off to join Tsune*

Monodramon stands by Hideki, looking down and out.

Azuma: "Any idea of what we can do about shelter? Hopefully without going back to the murder cave."

IL<We could possibly dig into the side of a cliff.>

T"While we're doing that, I could fill you all in on what happened at the Concert Hall."

Azuma: "Better than nothing, I guess."

*Kotemon digivolves to help with that*

Lyra:<Yeah, what did happen?>

*Gomamon hops out of the water, but MadLeomon waves him off.*

ML<Don't waste too much energy digging a hole.>

*So they begin to make their way over to the nearest white cliff face.*

T"Well, unfortunately, the building was eventually destroyed. Barbatos killed herself, instead of being captured."

*Euryale taps Agumon on the head. He looks at her, nodding as she talks.*

E"(I don't want to listen to this. Fill me in when I get back, 'kay?)"

Lyra:<What happened to the Gekomon?>

Kylie:<We think that some got away...I hope...>

Hideki: "Some went to 'King Drasil'."

Patamon: "There's no wild digimon around here, right? The humans smell like it might attract some."

Azuma: "Like you smell any better."

*Euryale attempts to sneak off with Taiyo around the cliff.*

T"We gave them Etemon's trailer, so they should be fine."

IL<Venusmon has essentially purged all violent Digimon in this valley.>

ML<Well, all except for the ones created by your old boss.>

Cameron:<And they'll be here soon. We need to get some rest.>

And Taiyo wanders off with Euryale.

Azuma: "That's good to know."

*They run right into Datamon.*

E"Oh...hello."

Datamon<Greetings. I have been sent as envoy to inform you that Venusmon invites you all to return to the temple complex, on the condition that you uphold her code of non-violence, & do not attempt to persuade any of us into violence.>

T"Well, there is some good news. We were able to contact Mr. Yamaki. Among other things, he helped me figure out how to rewrite data clusters into useful messages with specific targets."

Kylie:<But data clusters can be hard to find....>
