Episode Nine: The Beast

*Euryale holds Taiyo close, trying to keep her warm. Aroma is cold.*

Taiyo wants to invite Aroma over for cuddles, but is afraid to do so.

Sorcerymon: "It's good to see you again, Child of Kindness & Lunamon."

Wizardmon: "Then let's begin. If you two would approach the Sanctuary, we'll begin the incantation."

*Kylie nods, picking up Lunamon, then walks towards the sanctuary*

Lunamon:<What's going on?>

R"The Hell are the rest of us, chopped liver?"

*Dorumon wraps himself around Aroma's shoulders like a boa, which is appropriate, 'cause she's gay. She smiles at him & thanks him.*

Witchmon: "The rest of you have no part in the ritual."

Wizardmon: "The two of you must open your hearts to the world around you."

The three begin chanting in an language no one can understand, in unison.

R"You could still say it's nice to see us, you dick."

*Kylie and Lunamon look at each other, then try to do that*

Eve:<So I guess we are free?>

Azuma: "I guess. Whatever you mean by that."

On the other side of the doorway they can see Dianamon. Eventually the barrier keeping it trapped within the sanctuary becomes visible, Dianamon reaches out and grabs hold of it, Kylie and Lunamon feel their bodies move on their own, mimicing Dianamon's gesture.

They hear a barely audible, distorted digitalized voice followed by the sound of glass crunching in their grasp followed by a blinding flash of pink light and the sound of tearing metal.

When the light fades, where Kylie and Lunamon stood is a second Dianamon facing the first one that was trapped in the sanctuary.

Dianamon: "Thank you, Child of Kindness."

A"What just happened?"

R"We got shafted by Harold Houdini, who then pulled a rabbit out of a hat."

Kylie:<Uh, no problem!>

Lunamon:<Hi...>

*Lunamon looks pretty dazzled*

Wizardmon: "The two Biomerged."

Dianamon steps past Kylie+Lunamon Dianamon, Sorcerymon bowing.

Sorcerymon: "It's good to see you again Dianamon-sama. Who was it that sealed you away?"

Dianamon: "It is good to see you again, Sorcerymon."

A grave expression appears on Dianamon's face.

Dianamon: "Wisemon."

R"Sama? Fuck is that shit about? Nobody calls her Zinginzer-kun."

*He gestures towards Aroma.*

A"I'm surprised you even knew my last name."

Cameron:<Uh, Kylie? Lunamon?>

<Yes?>

*Both voices speak in unison*

Cameron:<Just wondering if you were both still...here.>

*K+L Dianamon steps out beside the other Dianamon*

Eve:<It wouldn't be "-kun," it would most likely be "-san."

Wizardmon: "It must be strange to come from a world where a show of respect for one's superior is considered alien."

Sorcerymon: "But Wisemon disappeared many years ago. Why would it suddenly make an appearance now and seal you away?"

Dianamon: "Wisemon aids Millenniummon."

Witchmon: "How could you possibly know that? You've been locked away since its emergence in the Digital World."

Dianamon: "The Destiny Stone that bears my mark has been destroyed. Only an Agent or someone as knowledgeable as Wisemon could know their locations."

Taiyo: "What's a Destiny Stone?"

Wizardmon: "Seven stones scattered around the Digital World many years ago to seal away the keys to the Gate. If the Moon Stone was destroyed, it could only mean the other six have been as well."

R"What's strange is that I come from a world that arbitrarily mixes English & Japanese customs."

A"What gate?"

Eve:<The gate holding Millenniummon or some other great evil?>

Wizardmon: "The Gate of the Seven. Many years ago, the Seven Demon Lords sought to take over both worlds. The newly formed Royal Knights, the partners of the previous Chosen Children were tasked with defeating them, but they weren't strong enough to destroy them, so they were sealed away in the farthest reaches of the World of Darkness."

Azuma: "What does destroying the 'Destiny Stones' have to do with the gate?"

Dianamon: "Inside each of the Stones is the Demon Lords Crest. Counterparts to the ones you all possess. The Crests inside the Stone act as keys to the Gate."

Dianamon looks at the Dianamon made up of Kylie and Lunamon then Taiyo.

Dianamon: "You've each been marked with one of their Crests."

R"Well, that's one mystery solved."

E"Uh, no I wasn't."

R"You didn't have chest pain & hear weird voices?"

E"No."

R"Are you sure you didn't just dismiss it as something else?"

E"...Aw, fuck."

*Meanwhile, Aroma is freaking out & pulling her hair.*

A"Aaah! What are we going to do?! What's going to happen to us?! Ohgodohgodohgod...."

*Dianamon looks down*

<I have heard a strange voice before.>

*Eve looks rather white and looks at Roatha*

Taiyo covers her stomach, both because it's cold and because that's where she was marked.

Taiyo: "How did you know?"

Dianamon: "The Crest that corresponds with yours was sealed within the Moon Stone which I had helped form. As for the Child of Kindness, when she had opened her heart during the ritual, that was when I saw the mark that had been afflicted on her."

Azuma: "What does this mean for us?"

Dianamon: "Should Millenniummon free the Demon Lords, those that had been marked with their Crest will be their target."

Taiyo: "All the more reason to defeat Millenniummon."

R"You wouldn't happen to know where the Big Bad Boogeymon IS, would you?"

D<Hey, calm down.>

A"But I don't wanna go to Hell!"

D<Don't worry, it doesn't exist. That's what Roatha said, right?>

R"What? Uh, yeah, sure. Whatever I said before. I stand by it."

*He glances over at Eve & does a double-take.*

R"Something wrong?"

Eve:<I may have been marked as well...>

Dianamon:<I think we will all have to achieve mega before we have even the slightest chance.>

Azuma: "I'm certain we all have been."

Hitomi: "I haven't."

Dianamon: "I have been sealed away since Milleniummon's emergence in the Digital World. This is the first time I've been outside the sanctuary. And the world outside has seemed to have changed is that period of time."

Azuma: "According to Sanzomon the Digital World being how it is was MetalSeadramon's doing."

Taiyo: "Like that thing we fought before MarineDevimon?"

Azuma: "Close. This one is probably the evolution of a MegaSeadramon. With the power to shape the Digital World as it sees fit."

Wizardmon: "Yes, the Dark Masters are quite strong. It's only been recent that they've stopped acting to their own accordance and focused their attentions on Milleniummon's enemies."

R"It's really all a big hullabaloo about nothing, don't worry about it. The monkey's singing was scarier."

E"I don't know, we seem to be able to beat down any enemy we come across. So do you at least know how we can get to MetalSeadramon?"

Terriermon:<If we wait around he'll probably come to us.>
