*The most "recent" paper about the asylum is how it was abandoned in 1945, due to the invasion of Germany, & was finally officially shut down in 1950. There are a few articles on people going missing in the Black Forest, including some familiar names, like Johnson & Cyprus. Searching for monsters doesn't really turn anything up. If she has a subscription, she can find that Roatha Arelaz is the son of Sarah & Victor Arelaz. Victor Arelaz is apparently the son of Thomas & Theresa Arelaz. Thomas Arelaz is the son of Lawrence Arelaz & an unknown woman, & the trail ends there. On the other end, Sarah is the daughter of Sarai & Abram Angela, which leads to the Angela family tree.*

*The nurse begins dabbing Tirea's wound with alcohol, which probably stings.*

Stefan looked sick once he had realized what Roatha meant.

Tirea:<Again, Azuma makes a good point!>

*Her voice squeaks a bit due to pain*

<No. I've tried searching through Roatha's family tree for something, I don't know, telling, but it's been a wild goose chase. The ash gave me an idea to check to if there were any cremation facilities around though.>

T"Probably a funeral home."

*Indeed, all of the visible results are ads for funeral homes.*

T"There could be other places that have to dispose of bodies. Maybe a lab, or one of the old concentration camps, or...a tuberculosis asylum, of course!"

*She jumps a little, then covers her mouth & looks around.*

T"(Sorry, that was...an inappropriately excited reaction....)"

"Well sure, if we're still kicking," Astarte straightened up, though still on her knees, with a slightly crestfallen expression. "I guess 'fear as an aphrodisiac' only applies to some people."

Azuma: "Because you'd believe us if we told you. You're doubting the entire story right now."

*Roatha spreads his arms.*

R"And yet, here I am. Are you saying that I could have risen from the dead without God's sanction? That he couldn't just burn away the Shadow if he wanted to?"

N"Right now, I just really want to get this meeting thing over with. There's no point to it, we're just going to meet up with Tirea & Azuma, tell them we don't know shit, & then, surprise, find out that they don't know shit either."

Azuma: "Like I'm sure you listened to the others after we were attacked by some nut."

"And if we knew shit we'd have to figure out how to get anywhere without being ambushed by some bullshit," Astarte stood up off of the bed. "Can I use your shower?"

"I don't pretend to know the mind of God," Grimm shook his head. "I only question whether He intended for this torture, or if this is a liberty of your own devices. Regardless, if you do his work you have my support."
Stefan was leaning up against the church door with his hands in his pockets to hide the shaking.

Eve:<It's abandon, out of the way, and seems to have ample facilities for his...work. It's possible he or the shadow could have some connection to it.>

*Eve looks up the asylum again, particularly when it was founded and by whom, also any reports if unexplained events there*

"I don't know, but you're welcome to join me," Astarte walked towards the bathroom, tossing her shirt and bra off and onto Nero's bed before she got there and stepped inside to finish undressing.

Stefan backed awkwardly out and around the corner to let Roatha pass. Grimm watched him go, looking for any signs that he might try to kill Stefan.

Eve:<Hm...nothing here another than some reports of odd occurrences there by some ghost hunters.>

*Eve looks up the history of the town. Maybe it has a historical society or something*

Astarte pushed the door shut after him, and a shower scene followed.

Stefan flinched considerably then fled into the church, finding a spot on a front pew and burying his face in his hands. Grimm watched Roatha go and bowed his head in a prayer for guidance.

Azuma: "This isn't all for show, is it?"

Cop<You sound rather paranoid. What are you suggesting? This seems like as good a time as any to take your statement.>

*She withdraws a tape recorder from her pocket & turns it on.*

Grimm prayed for a clearer understanding of Ira's role in the events unfolding, and to know who his enemies truly were. Stefan breathed heavily into his hands, then sat up and glared over the pews at Grimm to shout, "What the fuck is wrong with you?!"
