"I didn't mention it? Some asshole put ashes in the vents- probably Euryale and the others- and they fell on Taiyo," Astarte shrugged and turned back to Roatha. "It was pretty messed up. And why can't you remember this morning, if you can remember all these other horrible things you've done?"

Stefan looked around in hopes of seeing somebody's clothes hanging out to dry so he might steal some pants while simultaneously desperately trying to think of a place to go.

Kentaro: "Where is Azuma now?"

*Eve puts a hand on Lilith's shoulder*

<(I agree, but this will get us no where.)>

*Mrs Aakin stops and crosses her arms*

<I don't understand. We gave them permission to see Tirea, so they should at least be able to see her.>

*Roatha looks up, stretching his eyes, which are red & bloodshot.*

R"I only remember pieces. Probably the pieces he wants us to know."

N"You seem to remember a lot."

R"I do. But there are even more gaps. So many more."

N"Jesus Christ, that's horrifying."

Cyclist<Ugh--good thing I had a helmet. Hey, buddy, are you alright? Do you need help?>

Woman<Yes, I'd better not have to call the cops--also, I have pepper spray!>

*She is currently rummaging through her purse & backing up slowly, glancing up at Stefan every once in a while.*

Doctor<He's right in-->

*Lilith strides into the room that he indicates.*

L"What the Hell is going on? Why doesn't he want us to see you?"

T"Please don't call security on us."

Kentaro: "Why is this such a hassle? Will ONE of you explain what is going on?"

"So, why are you here now? Do you have anything useful to tell us?" Astarte looked up and down for any poorly concealed weapons. "Do you know if any of these things can be killed, including Ira?"

"I-- no please, don't worry, but I got mugged and a- uh- homeless guy stole my pants and my wallet," Stefan shook like a leaf, looking all around for either police or monsters. "I got kicked outta my house and I don't know where to go..."

Eve:<Your brother was shot b a crazy priest who is still loose on the streets.>

*Tirea waves at Lilith when she sees her*

<Uh, what's going on?>

*Roatha shrugs.*

R"I had nowhere else to go. I tried jumping off of a building, but it didn't work."

*Nero shakes his head, blinking before opening his eyes wide.*

N"What?!"

*He shrugs again.*

R"It seemed like the idea at the time, but like I said, it didn't work. You guys have probably tried more ways to kill these things than me."

Woman<...Well, that story obviously isn't true.>

Cyclist<Yeah, but it looks like he's afraid of SOMETHING.>

Woman<He's a nut is what he is.>

*She decides to shield her eyes with her purse, grimacing.*

Doctor<The police say that it was self-defense.>

L"On OUR side, yeah."

Doctor<I understand one of your friends attacked him with knives?>

Taiyo: "He attacked us."

Tirea:<His little minion had the knife and stabbed me.>

Doctor<I suppose we may as well just tell you now: We are discussing with the police about holding Tirea & Azuma for psychiatric evaluation for shared delusions.>

*The nurse turns to address Lilith, Thiera, Taiyo, et al.*

Nurse<I should warn you, you may be getting a call as well.>

L"That's ridiculous!"

T"She's right, WE'RE the victims, here! I realize how that sounds, but this isn't the first time we've been attacked!"

Astarte sighed and started getting dressed.

"I just... I need some pants, somebody obviously stole them even if you don't believe me," Stefan pulled his shirt down to try covering himself a bit more. "Somebody please help. I honestly don't have a home to go to."

Mrs. Aakin:<How do you know they weren't attacked?>

Mr. Aakin:<I think it was more about the crazy priest part...>

*His wife glares at him, then enters the room and embraces Tirea*

Mrs. Aakin:<These kids wouldn't attack anyone.>

Kentaro: "What? My brother may be a lot a things, but he's not delusional."

Doctor<I know this is hard to accept, but today they claimed to have been attacked by a friend of theirs. We checked the room, there are police all over the building, & we even looked at the security cameras. The police know his description, & nobody fitting it was in this building.>

Nurse<They were, however, wounded by a scalpel. A bloody scalpel was found in the medical waste of their room, & we confirmed that one was stolen from-->

L"So you're saying they attacked each other & blamed it on Roatha 'cause they're crazy."

Doctor<Well, I wouldn't use an insensitive term like "crazy." Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. We can get you kids help.>

N"So what happened then?"

R"Well, I hit the ground--there was a lot of blood--some bone--of course, it really hurt--"

*Nero throws his arms up into the air.*

N"Why are you so blase about all of this?!"

R"What's the point in getting upset? I can't stop any of it."

*Nero rubs his temples, closing his eyes in frustration.*

N"...Whatever, just keep going!"

*Roatha looks down.*

R"Okay...well, the Shadow showed up, & everything seemed to freeze, but I could still think & feel."

*He shakes his head.*

R"I don't know how long this went on for, but after a while, I was picking myself up off of the alley floor like I just laid down for a nap."

Woman<What, do I look like I have spare clothes just lying around?>

Cyclist<I could bike to the nearest thrift store & pick up some pants for you, but I don't know about everything else. Maybe I could take you to a homeless shelter?>

Kentaro: "Where's the logic in stabbing one another then blaming someone else?"

"So you're immortal, or close enough," Astarte stated flatly as she slipped her shirt back on. "As long as that Shadow thing can be around at least. No tips on how to get rid of it?"

"Please, could you get me some pants? I would be so grateful, if it's not too much trouble," Stefan smiled, trying to show how much he appreciated the guy. "I should be able to take care of myself then."

Mrs. Aakin:<Was their footage of them attacking each other?>

Doctor<No, I'm afraid that, for patient confidentiality reasons, we do not have security cameras in the individual rooms. And with all due respect, delusions are inherently illogical.>

Nurse<We were also told by the police that some of you claimed to have seen monsters in the forest.>

L"That was ONE PERSON & I don't even remember who it was."

Doctor<But by this point, nearly all of you have claimed to have been stalked, attacked, or otherwise persecuted. Yet the police say that they have reports of you sneaking around at odd hours, and that you went into that church with weapons, claiming to have come from a "hiking trip.">

N"Dr. Schreiber--that's our professor--she's still alive & she says that the Shadow is weak to radiation. Do you remember anything about her?"

R"Sort of...there was someone who attacked us a few times, & Ira DID say something about an ally. What kind of radiation?"

R"Anything. But there has to be a lot to do more than slow it down."

Cyclist<Sure thing, Man. But what're you going to do in the meantime?>

"I guess we could cross our fingers and hope for nuclear war," Astarte sat on the bed with some distance between her and Roatha.

"Uhh... I could just stand here? Wait here?"

*The Aakins look at Tirea, who immediately starts shaking her head*

Tirea:<Guys, this is pointless. There's no getting through up them.>

T"But you need our legal guardians to agree."

Doctor<Which I hope they do. It's in your best interest. Should the police decide to press charges, the only other options will be prison or juvenile detention.>

Nurse<Either way, we'll be holding them for a couple more days for observation.>

*Nero backs up & leans against the wall, rubbing his forehead.*

N"Great...so now what?"

R"I don't know, why are you asking me?"

*Eve puts her hands in her pockets, staring at the ground*

"We didn't know what to do before you turned up, would have been great if you had anything but bad news," Astarte shrugged. "You are going to leave before you become Ira again, right?"

"Uhh... I could go with you?"

Azuma: "On the bright side, you weren't the first one to be commited."

Kentaro: "This isn't a time for jokes."

Azuma: "Family trait."
