Episode Twelve: The Man Who Laughs

Terriermon:<Dorumon will probably be happy as long as he can blow up stuff, so that should work.>

Taiyo nods with an "Uh-huh," progressively coming to realize she's checking out Rosemon.

Azuma: "Then we should press on without wrecking things."

Cameron:<Let's just get a move on before we spend all day arguing.>

*Hopefully they do*

And they do. Past the barely visible graves, mausoleums, and crypts Grey Lord Manor comes into view, strangely illuminated as if under a spotlight that's brighter around a patch of snow that looks as if something big fell in that spot, a number of discarded swords like those that Piedmon wields lying nearby.

In front of the door stands SkullSatamon who begins to rise into the air, speaking with a voice that is as cold as their surroundings.

SkullSatamon: "This is me. This is where I live. I will not allow violence against this house."

With speed like MarineDevimon when underwater, SkullSatamon rockets towards them.

*Gallantmon stands her ground, holds out her shield, & fires an Elysium Blaster. Even if he dodges it, it should do extensive damage to the house. Doruwhatevermon watches for where SkullSatamon tries to flee, promptly whipping his tail in that direction. Rosemon likewise tries to capture him with her whip.*

*Dianamon uses Goodnight Moon in an attempt to put SkullSatamon to sleep. Saberdramon digivolves to Karatenmon and uses Feather Flare on it, while Terriermon becomes Rapidmon and fires his homing missiles at SkullSatamon*

The bulk of their attacks pass through after images of SkullSatamon who only stops to blast the missiles out of the sky with a shot from its staff.

Angewomon fires an arrow at it while MagnaAngemon moves in to swing at it with Excalibur prompting SkullSatamon to resume its wild movements around the cemetery, striking DoruGreymon in the back of the head, an after image flickering out of existence should he turn to retaliate.

*Rapidmon fires his homing missiles again, the other digimon attacking if SkullSatamon stops to destroy them again*

*Rosemon fires a storm of sleep-inducing rose petals in the general direction he seems to be moving in, spreading them out so that they're both behind & in front of him as well, when he's nowhere near 1 of her allies. Should he come near Dorumon or Gallantmon, they lash out with spiral saber or tail swipe the direction opposite which he was attacked, respectively. Alternatively, should they see him falter from Rosemon's technique, they use their strongest attacks on him. I assume they also wonder why Taiyo & her partner are not doing shit.*

SkullSatamon climbs to avoid the petals, stopping again to blast the missiles which leaves it wide open for the follow through attacks.

By some dark miracle, it survives and continues moving, noticeably slower and more sluggish where MagnaAngemon and Sakuyamon take flight to pursue it.

*Karatenmon, Rapidmon, and Dianamon all follow, sending their ranged attacks in his direction*

*I don't know, I guess they approach it from other directions, trying to box it in.*

Not being able able to afford to stop and shoot anything, SkullSatamon dives to shake off the attacks that aren't following its ass, charging Gallantmon, the missiles on its tail, so even if it dies, they're still taking an explosion to the chin.

*Gallantmon says, "fuck you" to that by using Elysium Blaster to attack Skullsatamon & blow them away from each other. Rosemon also whips the piss right out of him his leg, trying to pull him away from her. Doruwhatevermon hovers above, opting to crush Skullsatamon with a bigass ball.*

*Rapidmon moves in front of SkullSatamon and fires MOAR missiles. Everyone else continues using the same attacks they were before*

As SkullSatamon was charging Gallantmon who is using a very straight forward attack and thus in front of them, Rapidmon Bling being in front of all of that is going to hurt.

The ensuing explosion finishes off SkullSatamon leaving Gallantmon very sore and Rapidmon Bling even more sore. Like barely standing sore.

With the ground scorched and a number of headstones destroyed, silence returns after a long absence, Piedmon's House of Horrors waiting for them to enter the front door.

*Ignoring everything I have a problem with in that post, everyone regresses to rookie. Eve runs to pick up Terriermon, then heads back towards Roatha*

Cameron:<I don't suppose that we can avoid going in there...>

*Roatha starts to reach for Eve, then sort of awkwardly tries to pass it off as scratching his head.*

D<...Still worried about traps?>

*Everyone looks at him warily for a while, then scrambles out of the way. He responds by firing an enormous cannonball at the door.*

D<Yay!>

The door bursts open and they're met with a blinding flash of white light which as anyone should know by now is not a good sign and a pulling sensation as they're pulled into the manor.
