Abyssal Blade Rebellion

OOC: Not waiting for Harley.

*When Senthose steps on the road, he creates a large wall that blocks off the road past the temple. The spider mech opens a port & starts shooting at them from the roof.*

"It's a shame I couldn't get Ixion before this...."

*Out of the temple walks a towering, 9 foot Ronso. He has black armor on his arms, legs, chest, & stomach, as well as a spike attached to his tail. On his back is a naginta & a double-edged naginta, around his waist are 6 knives & a belt that turns out to be an umi, a longbow is slung across his chest, a crossbow is built onto his left gauntlet, he has metal claws on his gauntlets, a wakizashi in his left hand, & a claymore in his right. All of his weapons are also black. His horn is stained crimson & he narrows his yellow eyes at them.*

Gilgamesh<So...this means Lilith must have fallen. You will pay...Summoner.>

"Oh... damn..." Zephyr looks at the Ronso before them armed to the teeth and probably more than just in the figurative sense.

Ark: <Oh, crap.>

*He stares at the Ronso, widening his eyes*

*Hitomi stares past the Ronso and towards the machina.*

*Hitomi probably has the right idea, as they've already been shot a few times. The panel on the machina closes & a rocket appears on its back.*

Zephyr makes a break for the machina grabbing Ark as he does, "I think I can hurl you at it!"

*Hitomi tugs on Senthose's sleeve and points at the machina.*

"Your wall isn't going to stop that."

<That's not really what the wall's for.>

*An imprompteu set of stairs pops up by the temple as Senthose surveys the terrain: There's a series of bridges going over a small creek, the soil of the ground, & a few clumps of grass. Gilgamesh steps in front of the staircase. They notice the glint of an axe on the back of his waist.*

<So it's Flood, Poison Pod, Aero, or Quake. I suppose if I could get to the roof, I could use Tornado.>

"Do what you have to do, I'll help fight the Dark Knight!"

*She charges towards Gilgamesh, spear drawn to stab.*

Zephyr hurls Ark at the machina before turning around to help Luna fight the ronso.

[The samurai is as stupid if not more stupid than the thief.]

*Hitomi attempts to mozey on by the fightan trio and up the stairs.*

Ark: <What!? Dude, you're-->

*Ark falls face down on the ground a few inches ahead of Zephyr. He gets up, groaning, and casts Haste on himself, dashing forward and leaping over Girugamesh, then running up the stairs*

*Gilgamesh grabs his dumb ass out of midair by the leg & hurls him at Zephyr. He sheathes the Wakizashi, drawing the spear, & jabs at them while pointing his sword at Luna. A small gash appears in his arm & an orb of dark energy blasts her off her feet, causing her to collide with Senthose. As both fall into the water, Hitomi manages to get on the staircase. The machina looks down at her, the lense on its eye rotating in a look that suggests confusion. On its 4 legs are hook-like structures clearly meant to dig into stone & metal.*

*Ark kicks at Zephyr's head and falls to the ground. He dashes towards Girugameshu and slashes at him*

OOC: GIRUGAMESH!!

Zephyr rubs his head, "Ouch"

*Hitomi stares back at the machina, a look of one part confusion and another part fear on her face. Confusion because it's just staring at her and fear because it has a goddamn rocket on its back.*

*Gilgamesh blocks with his gauntlet claws. Senthose & Luna dig themselves out of the water. A set of earthen stairs pop up, which Luna runs up. With his other hand, Gilgamesh slashes at Zephyr, a green blade of energy flying towards him.*

*He slashes at him again, swinging his free hand at his waist in search of items he can steal*

Zephyr narrowly avoids the blade passing only close enough to put a tiny nick on his ear. "Damn that was close" Zephyr goes in to break Gilga's armor.

*Hitomi continues to creep up the stairs still staring at the machina.*

*Sure. Whatever. His wounds still close up as he parries the slash with both weapons. Luna fires an Azure Javelin at the machina before leaping towards him. It knocks the machina off of the roof, destroying most of its body & 2 of its legs. It scrabbles to its remaining legs, turning to face the temple. As this is going on, the water nearby swells & a blast of gravity snakes along behind the temple, destroying Senthose's wall. An enormous fin slams down where it once was, crushing many Abyssal Blades.*

"What.... the hell is THAT!?"

*Hitomi stares in horror.*

"S... Sin."

Gilgamesh<I bet you think it came because of all of the troops, don't you?>

*He breaks off from Zephyr, dodging Luna's jump & blocking a slash with his longsword.*

"What are you implying?"

Gilgamesh<See how it doesn't attack us? How it skirts the temple, as though afraid of harming it?>

*As he says this, Sin does a strange thing. It gently raises one of its back fins to lie flat on its side, only lowering it when it's past the temple. It turns to them, water swirling around its body, its many glowing eyes spinning around.*

Senthose<So it'll probably engage us with Sinspawn. Interesting. Clear a path for me into the temple, if you will.>

"Why?"

Senthose<There isn't time to explain.>

*A rock wall juts up in front of the machina, prematurely detonating the missile it fires at Hitomi. As he walks past it, he slashes another leg apart. It whirls around, stabbing at him with the hook on its remaining leg.*

Zephyr falls to his knees starring at the thing that just emerged. He begins to shake as memories rush back to him.

~Bodies... everywhere... he was standing in a city of corpses. A city laid to waste by the thing before them. The thing that was Sin. He was eight and he could remember seeing his sister's face stained with blood and the dead look in her eyes. She too had died. He was alone, left in this city of death~

He moves to cover his mouth but his hand doesn't get there fast enough as he throws up on the ground.

*Hitomi jumps from the stairs covering her face with her arm, rolling as she hits the ground and falling on her face. She stands up and runs over to Senthose to push him out of the way.*
