Abyssal Blade Rebellion

*Luna locks weapons with Gilgamesh, trying to prevent him from attacking Zephyr. This works for about 2 seconds until he just bowls her over. Luna begins summoning Ifrit, still lying on the ground, as Gilgamesh stands over Zephyr, grabbing his blade in both hands, & stabbing at him. Meanwhile, Senthose grabs Hitomi & leaps on the machina's arm as it slashes down, leaping off when it's destroyed in an explosion of lightning.*

<That's the problem with sending giant machina after a Geomancer: You can stand on them.>

"You're a what?"

Zephyr dodges by moving to the side forcing Gilgamesh to embed his sword in the ground. He stands and grabs his own weapon and slashes at Gilgamesh. His eyes are blank as he is doing this.

*Gilgamesh blocks with both gauntlet claws, slashing at Zephyr's leg with his tail. Luna stands up, having finished summoning Ifrit, who roars. Senthose strides past the battling pair towards the temple.*

"A Geomancer. I can use magic attacks depending on the terrain & send them anywhere along the same terrain, so long as it's connected. So, for example, back in Luca I could use Judgment Bolt because of the metal docks, but I couldn't send it to the terrorists on the boat because the ocean was between us. Back at Djose, I used Poison Pod, from the plants, Flood, from the water, & the earthen wall attack I use most often is Quake."

Zephyr dodges that too. His body is moving on impulse alone.

"Okay."

*Hitomi follows behind Senthose.*

*Sin slowly begins to open its mouth. They already feel their hair moving towards it. Gilgamesh sprints towards the temple. Luna runs after him as he dashes past Senthose. Once inside, he begins pulling the door shut.*

<The bastard...he's trying to barricade us out here with Sin.>

*Hitomi clutches her book to her chest and a hand to her face to keep her glasses from flying off. Looking rather ridiculous, she looks at Senthose.*

"Are there other ways inside?"

Zephyr snaps out of it and makes a break for the door throwing his sword into it to wedge the door open and buy them some time to get there to stop Gilgamesh from shutting the door.

*The sword lands a few feet away from him, but Gilgamesh spends enough time staring at him that Luna is able to cast Hastega & catches up to him quickly. Naturally, he jabs at her with his head horn.*

"There is a possibility that there are secret passages, but I am not aware of them."

*Hitomi glances over her shoulder at Zephyr.*

"I'm sure he wouldn't oppose to trying to break the door down. By himself."

"I can probably do that. I need a lighter sword or some strength buffs" he sighs and picks his sword up running for the door again.

*Ifrit pushes his dumb ass out of the way & smashes the doors open with a single fist. Gilgamesh leaps onto the staircase leading to the Chamber of the Fayth, drawing his longbow. As he pulls on the string, an onyx arrow appears. He takes aim at the door & fires.*

*Ark rolls inside so as to not be hit by the arrow*

Ark: <Drec Gilgamesh kio ec caneuicmo beccehk sa uvv! Yht fryd dra ramm ec Sin tuehk yhofyo? Tyssed!>

[He can't even avoid spouting drivel in his own language.]

*Hitomi steps back away from the door since the arrow will probably explode or something.*

"WHAT HE SAID!!" Zephyr dodges as well but is ready to push the offensive again immediately after.

*Gilgamesh adjusts his aim, firing at the ceiling. Hitomi called it: The arrow exploded in purple & black, raining boulders down on them all. Luna rolls away, casting Hastega. Senthose merely steps out of the temple & walks back in when it's all done.*

Gilgamesh<There's still time to join us, you know. Together, we could easily bring down those scum Maesters.>

Senthose<You are a fool & this goes so much farther than you will ever know. Your petty revolution is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound & fury, signifying nothing. In the end, you weren't even able to seize control of the region from the Highroads to the Djose Plains, practically the smallest part of a summoner's journey, or of Yevon's territory. I will have no part of this nonsense.>

*Hitomi looks up at Senthose for a moment with a look of what might be admiration, before looking towards Ifrit.*

[Why doesn't it realize the one who commands it has forgotten about it?]

Zephyr blocks a good deal of the boulders and issues a command to Ifrit, "Burn that blue cat bastard to the ground."

*Ifrit violently slashes the air, "claws" of flame igniting across Gilgamesh.*

~Ifrit has reached Overdrive!~

Gilgamesh<I'll have to end this.>

*Gilgamesh vomits a large amount of blood, the whole room going dark. The shadows recede, concentrating themselves in a thin, wavering aura along his blade.*

"What's he doing?"

Senthose<"Dark Knight" isn't just a title. It's a very unique skillset. Dark Knights use their magic to steal HP & MP from the enemy with quasi-magic physical attacks, & also form temporary weapons. However, there are some Dark Knight abilities that work with HP, the most notable of which is Darkness. The more HP sacrificed, the more destructive the attack, the nature of which can be anything the Dark Knight chooses, from an explosion to a slice to a wave of force. But I've noticed something. He's used Darkness 3 times now & his muscular structure hasn't been harmed once. It's almost as though he can choose what part of his body is damaged by the technique...but that shouldn't be possible....>

Gilgamesh<Die, Yevonite abomination!>

*Gilgamesh slashes downwards, sending a blade of shadows towards Ifrit.*

*Ark dashes forward and slides across the ground towards Girugamesh, stabbing at his anckle*

OOC: Still unsure if we are allowed to directly take control of the Aeons.

"Irfit, let this place be his burial ground. Create a wicked pyre and bathe this overgrown cat in Hellfire" Zephyr commands and Irfit unleashes his overdrive on the Ronso. Meanwhile before the blade of shadows can hit Zephyr moves in to block the brunt of the attack with his massive sword.

*They pretty much just plow him over, ripping a huge gash from his shoulder to his knee. And that's WITH the blade in the way. Ifrit hurls fireballs from his hands & mouth at Gilgamesh. The stream of fire hits the stream of darkness & for a few seconds, neither moves.*

"He can counter an Aeon's Overdrive? And that comes from his own body?!"

<Well, technically the strength of Darkness is greater than the health that is sacrificed, but it's impressive nonetheless.>

*The attacks finally move, scraping past each other. Gilgamesh stands with his right side heavily scorched, his arm limp. Ifrit kneels with a similar wound to his left. Just to pile on, Luna casts Slow on him.*

~Luna is out of MP!~

*Gilgamesh draws the axe with his left hand & does an astounding leap, slashing at Hitomi with a blade wreathed in green energy.*

Zephyr wobbles a bit, and falls foreward using his sword to stand up on. His sword summarily breaks in half and a loud is fuck is uttered from Zephyr's mouth before he picks up the broken top half of the sword and hurls it in Gilgamesh's general direction. He's bleeding during this time and probably in a lot of pain.

Ark: <Hey, Girugamesh! Fight someone your own size! ...Or me!>
