Golden Age: Revival

Allina: <(Nero...Euryale...)>

*She takes deeper breaths.*

She walks back to Allina with a steeled look in her eyes, slipping something into her pocket with one hand and holding her reloaded pistol with the other.

"What's in the cave and what needs to be done?"

*Mimiru roars right back at the manticore and runs at it, going around to its right while Azuma runs to its left. When beside it, Azuma slashes it, the wound filling up with ice followed by spikes bursting from multiple points on its left side. Meanwhile on the right side, Mimiru's wailing on its enormous ribs.*

Gilgamesh<Well, the fact that we aren't the ones who opened the portal complicates matters slightly. Still, all we have to do is close the ley lines leading to the cave. Of course, severing them is much different from just using them. Takes a lot of power. Artie! Kiddo! You wanna come over here & help me?>

*Gilgamesh stabs his spear into the ground on one side of the cave, while Arthur stabs his sword on the other. Shrugging, Roatha heads for the middle, but Gilgamesh waves him back.*

Gilgames<What kind of moron are you? That's where all of the monsters are comin' out! Go stand next to Artie.>

*He heads over next to King Arthur & stabs his own weapon into the ground. A large amount of multicolored lightning begins crackling at the puncture marks. One of the stalactites falls inside.*

Gilgamesh<Oh yeah. I forgot to mention, we're probably gonna destroy the cave along with it.>

*The manticore swings its tail at Azuma & more-or-less ignores Mimiru. Euryale staggers back, a large amount of blood pouring from her side, where her armor was opened. Schwarz had turned the fingers on his right hand into sharp tentacles. He gets to his feet & wraps one around each of her limbs, & another around her neck.*

Schwarz<Did I mention that I never fail a job?>

*Azuma swings his sword at the tail, a rainbow appearing that does nothing but look pretty. Taiyo stabs her lance into the ground which darkens, as hers, Euryale's, and Schwarz's feet sink into the mud. The mud soon dries up as three dirty-looking tendrils shoot up and pierce Schwarz in the side.*

*Allina rolls onto her back, gasping for air loudly, and plunges her hands into her pockets in search of something. She takes a purple asthma pump out of her left pocket and presses a button before sucking in the powder inside of it. She closes her eyes in relief, still panting.*

Luna's eye brow cocks and she just leaves Allina there, wondering off to see what else was happening.

*Euryale sruggles, unable to reach the tendril choking her. Schwarz turns the fingers on his other hand into tendrils, lashing out at Taiyo. Noticably, the side of his head still hasn't healed. Azuma is hurled to the ground with a scratch along one arm. A few more stalactites fall inside the cave & the roof begins to sink.*

Gilgamesh<Won't be much longer now! About 5 more minutes, probably.>

"I feel...like I've run...a marathon...."

*Roatha passes out like a bitch.*

*Taiyo shrieks and ducks, trying to get the lance out of the ground. Azuma gets back and with some difficulty slashes the manticore again. On account of his own wound hindering him, it's not a very deep gash, but it soon fills with ice, followed by spikes bursting from different points around where the wound is.*

*Allina staggers to her feet, panting, and looks around.*

Allina: <What... the... hell?>

*She hurries over to Schwarz as fast as she can and kicks at his face.*

*It jumps on him. The cave starts to crack. Schwarz directs his attack at Allina instead, grabbing her leg, the tendrils slashing into it. He also hurls her towards the cave. Nero looks between the 2 groups, unsure of which enemy to attack.*

*She shrieks and attempts to wing up midair which fails as she isn't fast enough, which leads to her falling flat on her face. She gets up, groaning.*

Allina: <I am so mad!>

*She runs over to Schwarz again. As she approaches, a wave of light runs down her right arm and it jerks upwards, blasting him in the face with a very bright and blinding flash of light.*

*Azuma swings and thrusts his sword (giggity) to run the manticore through. Taiyo stands up pulling the lance from the ground and stabs it into the ground in front of Euryale, the ground turning to mud again. This time when the water dries up, two dirty water tendrils rise from the ground and begin to whip Schwarz's back.*

*Schwarz turns his hand into a blade & cuts through them, approaching Taiyo. He kicks Nero, who tries to stab him in the back as Euryale is trying to pull her feet out, then winces at the light. The cracks in the cavern grow much larger, & it shudders. The manticore screeches & leaps off the end of the blade, dumping blood everywhere. It thrashes around wildly, its tail swinging towards Mimiru.*

*Taiyo pulls the lance from the ground and jabs at Schwarz. Mimiru ducks and rolls away from the manticores tail while Azuma runs at it swinging.*

*Allina kneels down next to Euryale and tries to pull the tendrils off of her as her hands glow.*

Luna looks at Schwarz again and frowns, attempting to use her powers again.

Die, now.

Just as she began to reach out with her illusion, a sharp ringing filled her head and she fell to her knees, clutching at her ears.
The ringing began fluctuating, causing Luna to groan and whimper with pain.

Then the ringing left her and she fell unconscious- the first encounter with her full power proving too much for her to unleash a second time that day.

*As Euryale is choking, Schwarz bats away the lance. The manticore collapses & starts making whimpering sounds. At last, the cave crumbles to rubble & dust.*

*Azuma stands over the manticore and raises his sword, bringing down on its neck. Taiyo takes another stab at Schwarz.*

Luna just lies there, whimpering a little and keeps her hands stuck to her ears, her body still shaking just a little.

*He knocks it aside again.*

<You'll never kill anyone with those half-ass jabs!>

*As King Arthur & Gilgamesh step forward, he lifts Euryale from the ground. She's coughing & her eyes are starting to roll back into her head. The neck tendril gets even longer, sprouting a scorpion-like blade on the end.*

<Everyone stay where they are or I'll finish the job now!>

Taiyo:<No one... hurts... Euryale!>

*Taiyo raises the lance above her head and hurls it at Schwarz.*

*Allina still being knelt next to Euryale, she gets up and a light barrier bursts from her body into Schwarz.*

*Schwarz ducks out of the way of the lance & weathers whatever light is supposed to do to him.*

Schwarz<I warned you!>

Gilgamesh<Fell for it!>

*Before Schwarz can "finish the job," as he puts it, Gilgamesh had leapt into the air & cut through the tendrils with his sword & a lance. They loosen & Euryale gasps for air, ripping them off of her.*

*Taiyo runs over to Euryale hugging her and removing whatever tendrils may still be hanging on to her.*
