Golden Age: Revival

Luna sighs and slows down her car as she passes by the hitchhikers.
"Where are you looking to go...?"

*Allina runs over to Euryale and Nero.*

Allina: <Sydney, Sydney, Sydney!>

N"We need to get to Unnamed Town. It's near Sydney. Don't ask."

R"Nero, there's no way that the 8 of us are going to fit in that car."

N"I'm mostly interested in myself, Euryale, & her sister. The rest of you can go fuck yourselves. Besides, I don't know why anyone would let you guys into a vehicle. Two of you have swords & Taiyo has a giant spear."

R"Yeah. I'm suddenly noticing that walking around in everyday life is becoming slowly impossible."

<Oh, move over.>

*A small girl of about 6 pushes past Nero & gives Luna puppy dog eyes. Luna notices that she's barefoot & wearing really old looking clothes.*

<My sister & I are lost, could you please help us get back home? The rest of them are creepy. Especially her.>

*She points at Taiyo, who's clinging to Euryale.*

R"Man. We're now getting thrown under a bus by a kindergarter. This is just pathetic."

E"We're not leaving anyone behind, all right?"

*Taiyo hisses at Stheno or however you spell her name.*

"I think they're talking about leaving us."

Mimiru:<It was only a matter of time before there was talk of abandoning others.>

*Allina grins over Nero's shoulder.*

Allina: <Are you still angry I almost broke your nose? 'Cause I'm pretty sure I told you I was sorry. Anyway! I can try and fly after the car... Yeah, this is probably something I shouldn't have said out loud.>

Luna felt bad for leaving them out in the middle of no where.
"Sorry, I can't fit you all in my car, and I won't be heading back to Sydney until tomorrow... I could call some of my relatives to come and ferry you to the nearest down if you'd like...?"

E"That could work."

"Are we actually going to hitch a ride with a bunch of complete strangers? For all we know they could be the backwoods survivalist types."

N"Really, we should just be glad that anyone's willing to give US a ride. Especially without asking uncomfortable questions."

"The lack of questions is what worries me."

"Uh, well, I don't really like the look of any of you. But I like to help out" Luna hadn't stopped the engine, "I'd like you to answer some questions before I take you anywhere though, but first I'll make a call."
She fished her phone out of her handbag and called her dad.

R"So who wants to explain that we just offed a saint because he was hurling magic at us like some kind of asshole?"

N"Will you PLEASE stop shouting shit like that?"

"Think we could pass Roatha off as a LARPer? It would be the easiest way to explain his... behavior."

Mimiru:<We just met this person, and already you're prepared to lie to them? I expected this kind of preparedness from Nero.>

"Uh, Hi Dad, no... no nothing's wrong" Luna mumbled into the phone, "Dad, yeah, I just met this bunch of hitchhikers out here. There's too many to take back in this car. No... well I'm not sure...."
After about 5 more minutes on the phone, Luna ended the call and put her phone back into her purse.
"Well, I can take back four people now. I think if you were a bunch of psychos you would have made a move by now, but even if you do..." She trailed off, "Anyway- Four of you can come to the town now and my Dad will come around and pick up the rest of you."

R"Euryale & her sister obviously have to go together."

N"And if you or Taiyo get left behind, you'll complain endlessly, & no one wants to deal with that. So have a nice trip, you 4."

"And that spear of hers? Unless it folds up or collapses, it probably won't fit in the trunk. Pretty sure no one wants it laying across their lap either."

Mimiru:<Hey, Strange Woman, what does your dad drive?>

"He'll probably bring his sister's Terago if he's picking the lot of you up" Luna replied, then added icily, "I'd also prefer it if you didn't call me strange woman."

R"We could attach it to the roof, or something."

Mimiru:<You're a woman as far as we can tell and you're strange for picking up a group hitchikers as well as enlisting the help of others to pick up more hitchikers. So unless you introduce yourself, you're Strange Woman.>

"That would work. Be an odd sight for anyone passing by or being passed, but it would work."

"Oh.. I guess I should have introduced myself. I am Luna Seppun, what are your names?" Luna sounded really bored, like she wanted to leave.

N"Nero Schwarz. Euryale Rakshashi. I can't pronounce her name. Roatha...what's your last name?"

R"Arelaz."

N"Your last name is gay."

R"You're gay!"

*He keeps pointing people out, ignoring Roatha completely.*

N"Allina Daelph...."

"Azuma Huraka."

Taiyo:<Taiyo Shikasu.>

Mimiru:<Mimiru Tugai.>

"What a boatload of adversity."

"Well, you're all foreign, for sure" Luna frowned, "Some of your names sound almost as though you just made them up on the spot. Oh well, get in the car, time is wasting."
She unlocked the rest of the doors and put her window up.

*Allina walks over to Mimiru.*

Allina: <They have the chance to send four people and choose three girls and Roatha. So much for "ladies first". Or... well...>

*She stares at Roatha and remembers him clinging onto Euryale earlier.*

Allina: <Yeah, nevermind. I'm sure neither of us would want to be there when Taiyo and him kill each other anyway.>

*She then turns to Luna and narrows her eyes.*

Allina: <Like he said, I'm Allina. Hi Strange Woman.>

Mimiru:<What the hell are you talking about "so much for ladies first"? It's common sense for the youngest one to go first rather than sit out here for much longer and it makes even more sense for Euryale to go with her so she's with at least one familiar person rather than a car load of strangers. As for those two? I neither know nor care what their deal is.>

"Awww. I didn't know you had such a side to you. One that was caring."

Mimiru:<Shut up. I don't care, I just don't like it when she's spouting nonsense.>
