Golden Age: Revival

*Mimiru drops to her knees. Still holding the stool she pushes forward towards the monster.*

*It drops to its back, but is quickly back on all fours. The fireballs spin rapidly around Mimiru while it's doing this.*

*Mimiru lets go of the stool and backs off. Scrambling to her feet, she goes over to Allina.*

"I have a plan, but it's not a very good one. Also I'm going to need your help."

Luna half turns around and mostly blind fires at where the figure appears to be.

Allina: <I'm ready!>

*Allina gets up as the barrier fades.*

*As the plan started off with Mimiru taking a pair of fireballs to the chest, it probably can't get much worse. But tell that to the Bakeneko that's pacing near the exit, growling at them.*

*The figure stumbles a bit, then regains its footing & slashes at her.*

Luna ducks and pulls her mask from the inside of her jacket pocket, attempting to block the attack with that while emptying her last three rounds into the figure.

"First you stop this feeling of discomfort that comes with taking a couple of fireballs to the chest. Then I'll make the rest up after."

"Am I the only one thinking that they're taking too long?"

R"Probably. Maybe someone should go after them."

*The bakeneko pounces at her.*
========================================
<It's useless.>

*The figure raises its blade when a stream of light washes over the area. The blade disappears first & then the whole entity starts to fade away.*

*Mimiru ducks and swings a fist at its stomach.*

*Azuma sets off.*

Taiyo:<I bet they were attacked by something and it's eating Allina.>

Luna is blinded for a moment by the light, but when she opens her eyes again she is very confused...
"Did... did I kill it?"

*Allina nods firmly and holds her hands out towards Mimiru, surrounding her in a blue aura that slowly heals her wounds. She then kicks at the panther's side.*

R"There is a lot of stuff to be attacked by around here."

N"Plus, we tend to get new enemies out of nowhere."

*Azuma trips over the map from earlier.*

<I will...return....>

*With that, the figure vanishes completely.*

*The Bakeneko yowls, then tackles Mimiru & prepares to bite down on her neck.*

*Mimiru grabs its neck and begins squeezing trying to choke it as well as keep it away from her neck. She also attempts to kick it in the groin.*

*Standing up Azuma looks at the map then heads in the direction of the metal working shop.*

=====================================================

"But they're never anything we can't handle. Right, Euryale?"

*Following her saying 'Right, Euryale' she hangs on to her arm looking up at her.*

*Allina leaps onto its back and attempts to keep its mouth shut while Mimiru chokes it.*

*Azuma walks in on the embarrassing attempt at revolt that Mimiru & Allina are putting up against the Bakeneko.*

E"Right."

*Roatha folds his arms & glares at Senthose's corpse as though it's his fault that Taiyo's a lesbian.*

"Blondie, move!"

*Azuma charges swinging his sword at the Bakeneko's side.*

Mimiru:<What are you doing here, Stupid?>

"That wasn't very enthusiastic."

*Allina rolls off and away, getting up and hurling an energy sphere at the Bakeneko.*

Luna stumbles away from the car and looks around nervously, "What... what happened? Is there somebody else out there?"

*A bird lands on her car door & shits inside. It then looks her right in the eye as if to say, "Yeah, I did that. What are you gonna do about it?"*

*The Bakeneko topples over, sprawled out sideways. It growls & tries to get back to its feet.*

"You were taking too long."

*Mimiru stands up as Azuma raises his sword and stabs the Bakeneko through the side of the neck.*

"We figured you may have been attacked by something that was eating Blondie at this moment."

Luna waves her gun at the bird and swears at it.

*The bird flies away. It makes a sound like it's snickering.*

*As the monster stops moving, they notice for the first time that its head is shaped less like a panther's & more like a housecat's.*

"That's a little unsettling."

Mimiru:<I think it's the thing that killed those two jackasses. Or at least part of the same genus. Or something.>

*To be certain Azuma pulls his sword out of the Bakeneko's neck and lops off its head before returning his attention to Mimiru.*

"I suppose we avenged their deaths then. That should guarantee there won't be two creepy ghosts watching someone sleep."

Allina: <They're dead, stop being a jerk. You're creepy too.>

*She turns the opal off and goes to get the bottles.*

Allina: <So, let's head back?>
