The City Of Love

*Spider starts off simple by throwing the single card in his hand directly at Axl.*

Axl air dashes backwards whilst firing at Spider before beginning to zigzag around taking shots at him whilst making it hard to get a bead on him.

*Iceman fucking hurls a head-sized snowball at Axl for the lulz of it.*

Kelphy: <(Iceman!)>

*Spider does a few backflips to dodge the bullets, and then throws three cards out, one to the left, one to the right, and one directly in front. The resulting explosion causes smoke to hide him.*

Spider: <[Doesn't look like I can afford to take it easy on him...]>

*From the smoke, a barrage of cards from all over fly out and start exploding in random areas. The areas of explosion are kind of close to Axl, but not enough for him to take damage from it, but the smoke would indeed cause a temporary lack of vision.*

Axl rockets upwards through the smoke like a goddamn jet.

<"Airshot1 in, download!"> Axl's guns are replaced with a rather nice looking rifle with a scope. At which point Snowman's snowball pegs him in the leg and he spirals around and nearly shoots him.

*Spider pulls out 3 cards per hand and waits for the smoke to clear.*

*Iceman lies down on his belly and rolls over to dodge the shot.*

Iceman: <This is going to be a loooong flight.>

Axl also waits for the smoke to clear with his eyes in the scope.

*Iceman blows the smoke away with an enhanced yawn.*

*As soon as the smoke clears, Spider immediately sees Axl and throws 5 of the 6 cards at him immediately.*

As soon as the smoke clears Axl strafes left and fires a long range air shot at Spider from the rifle weapon in his hands.

*Spider intercepts the air shot with the last card in his hand, throwing it directly into it.*

The Air shot explodes violently launching an air current outward but otherwise causing no damage as Axl bomb dives.

<"Shotgun in, download!"> the rifle changes into a shotgun like weapon as Axl continues to spiral towards Spider.

Spider: <[Damn. Edge, at a time like this, I REALLY wish you'd do the honors of buying a chip or two for me to use!]>

*Spider draws 2 more cards per hand, and then throws the two in his right hand directly at Axl, and then jumps into the air at him, preparing to throw the other two.*

The cards explode into Axl's wings which he quickly retracts going into free fall. He aims the shotgun as he nears Spider and when he's close enough he fires.

*Spider quickly drops the two cards in his left hand and let them fall behind him. They explode soon after, creating more smoke that covers him. However, he didn't have enough time to dodge the shotgun blast, and blocks it with his arms, taking only a little bit of damage as a result.*

Spider: <[Ha. I haven't fought anyone so on par with me in a while.]>

*Spider raises his right arm and bursts through the smoke, preparing to punch Axl.*

Only to be met with a shotgun butt to the chin and a boot aimed at the midsection.

Heh this fun!

*Spider uses his other hand to block the shotgun, and then cancels his punch to grab his leg with his right arm. He then quickly lets go and breaks off of him to pull out another card and throw it at him.*

Axl duck dodges the card and goes for a low sweep.

*A large ice spike springs from the floor underneath them.*

Iceman: <Wooo!>

*A flight attendant walks up to them.*

Stewardess: <Good evening, would you like to have dinner yet?>

*Kelphy widens her eyes and looks outside. It is indeed almost night time already, even though they left shortly after lunch.*

Kelphy: <Y-Yes, please. What are the dishes?>

Stewardess: <The meat dish is beef kabobs, the fish dish is grilled salmon, and the vegetarian dish is chicken salad.>

[But chicken is meat...]

Shit, shit, and shit. This is why we should have gone on my jet. Better food. Alto grumbles mentally as he jacks Axl out after Iceman dicked he and Spider over.

*Spider grins as he's jacked out by Edge.*

Spider: <Didn't think it would come so close.>

Edge: <Yeah... but I don't care about that right now, bring on the food!>

*After a few more hours they arrive at the Paris International Airport. Outside, Kelphy is trying to figure out a city map on her PET.*

Iceman: <Now how do we find your dad?>

[I didn't... really plan that far ahead.]

Kelphy: <...On the news they were saying their arrival here caused a comotion among NetBattlers... M-Maybe we just need to ask the right person?>

Iceman: <So what, we split up?>

Kelphy: <I don't know...>

*She turns to face Alto and Edge and looks at them with a slight shrug like "Any ideas"?*

*After hours they arrive somewhere. He's dragged out of the jet in another badly lit underground facility, thrown into a tight storage room, and locked inside, with his hands and legs still tied.*

"We should stick together..."

Edge: <Eh, it doesn't matter to me.>
