The War of Paradigm City

"Um, alright then, just give me a moment." Zell 'called' Mirror Zero in a way that works exactly the way everyone wanted, and doesn't amount to Zell awkwardly yelling 'Mirror Zero' in the cramped space.

*The robot rockets down the tunnel, stopping with its disengaged crotch level to the open hatch.*

T"...I don't like your robot's design."

"And I don't like worms... We all have different tastes." With that, Zell hopped into Mirror Zero.

T"A Basilisk is a mythical type of snake!"

"Uh-huh."

*Topaz is still in Adramelech and tries to contact Thiera.*

*When it sees Mirror Zero emerging from the subways, Big Duo immediately fires eye lasers at it.*

*Ring. Ring. Ring. Ri--*

T{Who is this?}

Topaz: <It's Topaz... what happened, where are you?>

Mirror Zero thruster jumps over the lazers and fires a volley of her own at Big Duo's face.

*Big Duo descends to avoid the lasers, then flies at Mirror Zero.*

T{The President has been assassinated. Barbatos is piloting Big Duo.}

Mirror Zero flies at Big Duo, energy sword at the ready.

Topaz: <...O-Oh. On my way.>

*Big Duo adjusts its direction so it can fly just over Mirror Zero as Basilisk digs out of the subway tunnels.*

Mirror Zero tested if the barrier was still in effect by slicing at Big Duo's foot as it flew overhead.

*Big Duo doesn't have a barrier, so yeah, now it has a nick in its ankle.*

*Adramelech makes its way towards Thiera, shooting at Big Duo from its wing machine guns on arrival.*

*Big Duo turns & flies overhead, returning the favor from the machineguns in its torso.*

*Adramelech's core begins to glow intensely, as do the green linings across its body.*

Topaz: <I'm going to need cover until it cools off!>

*Adramelech fires its powerful red beam at Big Duo.*

Mirror Zero gets out of the way of Topaz's unibeam, shooting a volley of lazers at Big Duo as it strafes away.

*Big Duo is hit by frickin' lasers & begins to fall. Basilisk slithers between the buildings, in the direction of where it's going to crash.*

"What are you doing?" Zell asked Thiera, "Big Duo is about to fall right on top of you."

T{I doubt it's out of comission, & I'm not sure if it can regain flight capability. We need to finish it off.}

Mirror Zero goes to move in for a few stabs.

*By the time Mirror Zero reaches Big Duo, it has landed on its feet, & retaliates by spinning its bladed hands at Mirror Zero.*

Mirror Zero slashes at Big Duo's neck.
