The War of Paradigm City

*He moves on to another room.*

She answers, "Hello?"

T"The tunnel lead to a massive chasm in the tunnel system. We can't detect what's at the bottom, but I can confidently state that there's no way any machines could get down there from here. Did you find anything on your end?"

*The only other room is the bathroom, which is covered by discarded bandages, dried blood, & broken medical supplies.*

"I found the Metropolis book everyone's been talking about. Inside was a picture of Gordon Rosewater from years ago shaking hands with Aamon. Curiously, an image of what looks like Roger Smith is superimposed over Aamon, it is kind of hard to make out though."

*Vega leaves the house.*

*When Vega leaves, he finds the building surrounded by the Paradigm police. Chokmah steps out of the lead car.*

<You are under arrest for tresspassing.>

T"That is strange...hold on, we'll meet you at the mansion."

*As soon as she hangs up, Zell notices some rustling in the tomato field.*

Zell pockets her phone and squints to try and make out what was in the field. Letting out a small sigh she goes off to investigate further.

"It was the explosion that gave me away, wasn't it?"

[Not that I was trying to sneak around or anything.]

*Vega puts his hands up, speaking Gelu Chalybs name into his glove.*

*When she gets closer, the rustling moves faster, coming right at her.*

*Naturally, the Megadeus destroys the ground in front of him, rising up in front of the police cars.*

Zell puts up her dukes, and backs the fuck up.

*She tilts her head to the side and stares blankly at the frisbee on the ground for a few seconds, before picking it up and looking around.*

*Vega boards the Megadeus and fucks off.*

[That guy seemed familiar.]

*Another frisbee hits her right between the eyes.*

*A homeless man in ripped up trenchcoat, tophat, & gloves bursts from the tomatoes, brandishing a butcher's knife at Zell.*

*The Paradigm Dome 1 opens up partially, a large cannon emerging from it, which takes aim at the Vegadeus.*

*Gelu Chalybs arms its own cannon, aims and fires.*

Zell gets low, and tackles the fucker, reaching for his knife arm as they drop, at this point less to try and wrestle away the knife, so much as make sure she doesn't get stabbed.

*Part of the dome shatters, then the cannon fires back, a massive shell speeding towards the Vegadeus.*

*Gelu Chalybs deploys its rockets and treads and barrels through or down anything in the way in what amounts to a highly destructive dodge.*

Zell, presumably still being attacked, continued to wrestle for the knife, "What are you talking about?!"

*The hobo punches her in the face.*

*Some tanks start chasing him.*

Zell bites this fucker's neck, hard, and yanks backwards.

*Gelu Chalybs rockets shut off and begins to back up.*

*The tanks open fire on Gelu.*

*The man pushes her off & stumbles away into the tomatoes, his throat bleeding. There's more rustling coming from behind Zell.*

"Who is there?" Zell asked, wiping away the blood from her mouth, and mumbling, "Dammit... I liked this sweater."

*He continues backing up intent on flattening some tanks.*

*The tanks just start backing up as well, still firing on the Megadeus.*
