"Wait, what about Senthose? What if he comes back?"

<I'm more concerned that he'll strike at the church.>

*Euryale looks back at the noises.*

*The Squire rushes at him before fleeing along with the other Squire.*

"Still a tragic shame."

*Lilith opens a door to a room full of ninjas. One, with a red mantle bearing the black lion on the front, bows.*

<...Lady Psyche.>

"Did Lord Elmdore have any spies stationed at Eagrose?"

<...Yes. We communicate using a teleport stone.>

"Fairly advanced. I need to know what's going on at Eagrose, now."

<...As you wish.>

*He heads into another room, leaving them to wait there.*

*Clyde runs and attempts to slash the Squire from behind while he flees.*

Zac was surprised to see the ninja, but if a ninja isn't surprising you it is probably a crappy ninja, so he didn't feel too bad about it. Since it seemed Lilith knew what she was doing, Zac just calmly waited as Lilith went about her business... running a country.

Mortal walks down the steps into the main hall and meets Noctab. Noct looks over at Mortal and said, "I think I got all the statues, I mean petrification victims."

"That is a good to know," She said. Mortal let out a small sigh, "So, what now?"

"I was kind of looking forward to a nice, relaxing vacation."

~Limberry~

"Oh, that reminds me. Roatha told me to give you this. He didn't use it."

*She holds up a potion.*

~Balias Swale~

*He doesn't even turn around to rush him, he just keeps fleeing. A female archer steps out from the tree on the other side of the bank & fires at Clyde.*

*Clyde keeps running to the other side to attempt to get out of the open.*

Zac took it, and put it away, "Uh, okay..."

"Agreed," Noctis said, "I think it we've earned a moment to relax."

Mortal nodded, and smiled, "I suppose you're right."

*Once the first Squire gets to the bank, he jumps up onto it, revealing that he has the Ignore Height ability.*

*The ninja comes back.*

<Zalbaag has left to visit the Eagrose Royal Cemetary with an apothecary. He was very secretive about it. Other than that, there is nothing to report that you did not already know.>

"Keep me posted at all times about any new developments."

*He reluctantly bows as Lilith turns around.*

Zac follows Lilith.

Mortal is sleeping soundly.

Noctab is in Noct's room. Noct rolled over in her bed and found Sab at the opposite end of the room, reading a book at Noct's desk. "Thank you," Noct said.

"For?" Sab asked, marking her page and turning to face Noctis.

"For taking a chance on me. I know I'm not exactly trustworthy," She said.

Sab let out a small sigh, "I'm not exactly a paragon of good decisions either." Sab took off her reading glasses, and put them down on the desk, "Besides, I don't see it as taking a chance. You made a promise, and I'm going to hold you to it."

Noct smiled, then patted her bed, "You know, you can bring the lamp over here and read in bed."

Sab nodded, "Oh, I wasn't trying to keep away. My hair was damp from bathing." With that she took the lamp, book, and glasses and brought them over. Once Sab slipped into bed, sitting up, so she can read, Noct wrapped her arms around her and rested her head on Sab's tummy before drifting into a nap.

The next day!

*A panic in the kitchen spills over as Euryale comes down.*

"Hey could I have a glass of wa--umm...what's wrong?"

*One of the maids turns slowly to her with a horrified expression. Euryale takes a step back.*

<We...are out of...steak.>

~Limberry~

*Lilith is eating pancakes at her fancy table.*

"...Wow, this is lonely."

Zac walks out of his room, and begins walking randomly through the halls looking for the dining hall. "Hello...? I'm hungry..."

Iliad walked in just then, with a smile, "Oh, good morning Euryale. I came by earlier when I heard about what had happened yesterday. I'm glad everyone is alright." He then walks over to the maid and sets down a large backpack, "There are the supplies." He looked back at Euryale, "The workers were a bit worried that they ran out of steak. I hear it is Mortal's favorite meal, so I returned home and brought over some. Now she can have steak and eggs."

At this point Mortal comes down stairs, and kisses Euryale, "Good morning." She then looks at Iliad, "Hello, Iliad."

"Hello, Mortal, I was just telling Euryale how glad I am that you're both alright."

Noctab woke up and just decided to spend some extra time in bed cuddling, much to Noct's joy.

"Not that I don't appreciate it, but are you sure this is okay? I hear there's a really bad famine, with over half of Ivalice's domestic cow population having starved."

*Lilith is so lonely that she arranges strawberries on her pancake in the form of a smiley face.*

"The famine will still exist whether we eat or not," Iliad said, "What is the sense in worrying about a few steaks. If the famine is to stop crops need to grow again. Eating steak won't affect that one way or the other."

Mortal nodded, not caring about the argument, so much as the steak, "Yes, Euryale, we should just eat the steak."

Zac finally walks into the room. "Ah, Lilith, good morning," He said walking over with a smile, "I'm so glad I found you, and the dining hall-- is that a happy face made from strawberries?" Zac chuckled a bit, "How cute."

Sab tries to get out of bed, but Noct wraps her arms around her and pulls her back to her. Sab lets out a sigh, and decides to spend some more time in bed, cozying up to Noct.

"That's not exactly a valid...nevermind. Mortal, eat all the steaks you want, I'll just have the eggs."

"Uhh...thank you. But this isn't actually the dining hall, it's the Marquis's personal chamber. It's used for eating, meetings, etc."

*She points to a bell.*

"Just ring that, & a servant will have whatever you want made, & brought straight here."

Zac looked a bit disappointed, "Oh, damn, I thought I had finally found it..." He shrugged slightly, "I guess I just barged into your space. I apologize, I can leave you to your meal if you want. I would hate to intrude."

The damage is already done, and Mortal feels bad about eating steak. This does not stop her from doing it anyway though, "Uh, yea, alright..."

Iliad is used to using flawed logic to prove his points, so it doesn't bother him much.

As Noct's arms go slack, Sab assumes that Noct drifted off into another sleep, and tries to get ready for the day, but Noct pulls her back again. "Noct, we have to get up for the day."

"No we don't..." Noct grumbled, "I don't wanna."

"Fine, but just a few more minutes."

"No, please, sit down. Mother & Thiera couldn't make it, they had things to do in town."

"Did you happen to hear anything about a wounded Red Dragon running through the city streets?"

"Alright then," Zac said, walking over and ringing the bell before taking a seat next to Lilith. "So, how do you like your new room?"

"Only that one was heading towards Gollund," Iliad said, "Why?"

Sab fell back to sleep and was woken up by a fully dressed Noctis, "Hey, wake up, you can't sleep all day."

"What, when did..." She let out a yawn. "Never mind... I'll be ready in a minute."

"I was just curious of what happened to Senthose's cronies. I'm glad to know we don't have to worry about them attacking us in our sleep. At least not for a few days."

"It's much nicer than my old one. Very spacious. Plenty of light. What of Argath's? I had the help wash it thoroughly beforehand."

*A dancer enters the room & waits by Zac's side of the table.*

Mortal drifted off into a daydream at that.

Iliad shrugged, "You girls seem to be a hardy bunch, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about."

Noct laid back on her bed, feet hanging off the side, as she waited to Sab to get ready. Sab finally poked her head out of her shirt and straitened some stray hairs with her hands. "Alright," She said, looking at Noct, "I'm ready."

Noct stayed laying down, "I changed my mind, lets stay in bed longer..." Sab grabbed Noct's hand and pulled her out of bed, and out the door.

"I'd love some pancakes, with chocolate chips please," Zac said with a smile. He then turned to Lilith, "It is a bit odd, if I can be honest. It is lonely. At an inn I sleep alone, but it always feels like people are around. Here everything is so... cold and quiet."

~Limbeerry~

"He had a fire place."

*The Dancer looks at Lilith, who nods. She then heads off to get that.*

"I'm not sure if I like being described as 'hardy.'"

Zac chuckled, "That isn't what I meant, and a roaring fireplace doesn't really help me get to sleep. I'm also fairly sure that leads to house fires."

"I wasn't trying to be insulting," Iliad said, "I apologize if I came off that way. I was just saying you're all really skilled, and talented fighters."

Noctab finally joins the scene. "Good morning, everyone," Sab said.

"Good morning," Iliad and Mortal replied, in quick succession.

*Euryale gives a half-assed little wave to Sab.*

"Mornin', Noct."

"Oh...well, I'm not sure what else I could do."

*Suddenly pancakes.*

"Is there a bed closer to you?" Zac asked, "I think I'd sleep better knowing I was close to someone I cared for."

Sab frowned, "Listen, I'm sorry. Can we just put it behind us? This whole thing is childish."

"You should be!"

*Euryale crosses her arms & looks away.*

"It's...good that you're doing better now."

"The Marquis's rooms are on their own floors within each tower. Right now, I'm using the northwest one. You really can't get any closer."

Disregarding that Euryale did little to discredit Sab's claim of childishness, Sab sat down and let out a sigh, "We practically live together, the least we could do is get along."

Mortal and Noctis both agreed with that sentiment.
