"Did...I say something wrong?"

Mortal and Noct both let out sighs, seeing that things were still going to be awkward.

Sab shrugged, and stood up, walking off to the kitchen. Before going all the way there she stopped by Noctis, putting a hand on her shoulder, "What would you like?"

"I'd love some fried eggs and toast."

"Alrighty, I'll be right back." Noct smiled happily to herself as Sab walked away.

Zac looked up, "No, not at all. I'm just in a new environment, and alone. It'll take some getting used to."

~Lesalia~

*Euryale glared at the table. It was infuriating that those 2 didn't see the source of her mistrust. Did they forget that Sab had been threatening them with rape charges until, like, yesterday? Nonetheless, she takes a deep breath, puts on her happy face, & turns to Mortal.*

"So, what were you planning to do today?"

"In that case, we'll tour the city today."

Mortal shrugged, "I don't know. Go for a walk maybe, then go back to sleep. I'm not good at planning much of anything. What about you?"

Sab came back and sat across from Noctis, who decided to play footsies out of boredom, much to Sab's annoyance.

"I don't want to waste your time," Zac said, genuinely not wanting to be a bother, "I'm sure you've got important things to do."

"This is important business!"

"I don't know. It's the capitol, there must be a lot to do."

Zac smiled, "Alright then."

Mortal shrugged, "I guess so. What is there to do around Lesalia, Noctis?"

Noct stopped toying with Sab and looked over at Mortal, "What now?"

"Things to do around town?"

"Oh, well, there are the art galleries, and of course the library. Parks are a great meeting ground for poets, who often recite, and some musicians like the open air when they perform; they're at the amphitheater. The ones that don't like open air can be found at concert halls, of which there are many. There was also supposed to be a wine tasting going on later today."

Mortal finally seemed to be interested, "So, what is that like? You just drink wine?"

"No, you don't drink it," Noct explained, "You indulge in it, then spit it out, drink some water to cleanse your tongue, then try another wine." Mortal went back to being disinterested. Noct shrugged, "There is a gambling house with a fight club, if you're interested." Mortal perked up again, "In gambling I mean, I don't think they allow women to partake."

Iliad chuckled a bit at Mortal's inability to find something fun to do.

*Euryale stands up, cracking her fists.*

"Well, they're gonna let these women in! And then we can wind down with that poetry thing, I guess."

*After breakfast, they head out to find a bright, sunny day.*

"I guess the first logical place to show you would be the recruitment office."

"Well, it is bare fists," Noct said, "So I'm thinking you'll have a better showing than Mortal. Try not to kill anyone."

"You're not going?" Mortal asked.

"I didn't plan on it... but I guess I wouldn't mind some gambling," Noct said, "I do love games, now that I think about it. What do you think Sab?"

"I'll go if you're going," Sab said, "But just to keep you company."

"Lead the way, my lady," Zac said, after looking up at the bright, blue sky, with a smile.

"It's all for fun, anyway. So I'll have to try really hard not to break anyone's bones."

"So, like it sounds, this is where various groups can recruit new troops."

*As they enter an alley, they hear a familiar voice behind them.*

<Hand over the woman & all of your valuables!>

"Oh, no, broken bones come with the territory," Noct said, "Once lost 500 gil on a guy because the other one kicked in his knee. Snapped like a twig. That said, watch your knees, and faces obviously."

"Yes, wouldn't want to have anything happen to your pristine faces," Iliad said. He looked up and saw Mortal glaring at him, fighting back a barely contained rage, "I meant that honestly, I swear."

"Don't think that is going to work out in your benefit," Zac said, turning around.

"Well, then, consider me sportswomanly. I'm sure I'll be fine."

*Euryale hugs Mortal & kisses her on the cheek.*

"You have a really nice face."

*When he turns around, he sees Seraph laughing at him a few feet away, at the entrance to the alley.*

Mortal was still sulking, but Euryale's kiss made her feel better. At least the most important person to her thought she was attractive.

Zac frowned, and contorted his face into a look of anger, "You. Oh, yea, I don't think this is going to work out in your benefit."

"Personally, I've never really been fond of my eye color."

S"What are you saying? I thought we were friends!"

*Seraph sniffles.*

Zac shoots Seraph with a leg shot.

"But your eyes are beautiful, and unique," Mortal said.

Iliad seemed a bit shocked, "So that is what that kind of relationship looks like when the women show affection to one another."

Noct, indignantly pointed from herself to Sab, "What do you think this is?"

"Recent, and shocking," Iliad said, "You can't be upset with me. I grew up with you, I know how you acted."

Noct looked curmudgeonly.

"They're the color of--nah, I won't ruin them for ya. I'm glad you think they're pretty. I don't see them most of the time, anyway."

*Seraph quickly teleports to the top of the building when he sees the gun being drawn.*

S"How rude. I only came back to get you in on the fun. You can't sit at home all day, you know."

Zac looks up at him, dismayed, knowing his gun doesn't work well vertically. "What are you talking about?"

Mortal frowned, already putting two, and two together, "If you want to go down that road just think about what my hair is the color of. Just because they share the same color doesn't mean it isn't a beautiful eye color."

Sab began playing footsies with Noct in an attempt to cheer her up. It worked.

"...Snow? Snow is only bad because it's cold. It's actually quite pretty."

S"The Lion War's nowhere near ending. Yet your big master plan is undoubtedly to sit here, building up your defenses, & trying to trade with the other cities. So. BORING."

"Tell me, what is your master plan?"

Noctis, and Iliad giggle, but Mortal smiled and hugged, Euryale, "Yes, snow, pure snow. I love you, Euryale."

Iliad looked at Noct, waiting for her to try and prove that her relationship was as meaningful, but all she did was frown, "Quick looking at me like that."

S"You don't listen very well, do you? The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules."

L"I don't understand how you plan to get me to chase you across Ivalice."

S"Simple, I, uh, go to kill the Princess."

"That seems rude, but why would Lilith and I chase you because of it?" Zac asked.

Noct smiled, happy that they were happy. Still, she couldn't hide her own displeasure at not being able to say the same to Sab, or anyone. "We should probably get going if we're going to get you two signed up for the fights," Noct said.

L"Don't you understand? If he kills the Princess, Delita loses his claim to the throne. And we don't know if we want him to be King, but we DEFINITELY don't want Dycedarg to become King."

"Alright, just let me change out of this dress."

*Clyde gets to the other side and attempts to climb up.*

"Dammit..." Zac let out a sigh, "And today was shaping to be such a nice day too..."

Mortal nodded, "Yea, I should probably change into something I won't mind getting blood on."

"No armor by the way, that is cheating."

"My leather clothes don't count as armor, do they?"

L"Wait, before you go...your new Lord...what is his agenda?"

S"Pfft, who knows? I don't think he's a kindred spirit to me, though. Sadly, no one ever is."

"I... don't know," Noct said, "Every time I was there they just wore pants, and went bare chested."

"Well, I'm not going bare chested," Mortal said.

"That's chaos for you, my friend," Zac said, holstering his pistol, figuring nothing was going to happen.
