Noct gets the Grunty Food, then heads off towards the Portal, "Well, come on."

*Thiera, having just caught up while she was picking onions, is forced to run after Noctis again.*

*Both sharks once again go for a bite attack.*

*Monudon repeatedly stabs at the sharks*

Noct arrives at the portal, I assume.

*One shark is dead. The other is at critical health. It attempts to ram Monudon.*

*Actually, the portal would have opened while she was still about 10 feet away, pouring out a pair of ghosts & a pair of Valkyries. The ghosts just float around lazily, while the Valkyries immediately dash towards her.*

*While running, they come along a cluster of about 5 swords jammed into the ground. They can see similar clusters nearby. In their immediate area, they are alerted to the presence of a--

<Twilight Onion!>

*--at the base of 1 of the blades. Looking around, they can see that there is a total of 7.*

*Monudon tries to block with his spear*

Noct dashes to the side of one, so that she couldn't be hit by the other, and double slashed at the Valkyrie that was closest.

Sab goes about pickin' mushrooms.

*The block is successful. The shark transitions into swimming upwards & back down, in an arc.*

*Euryale waits for Sab to get done, because she is nice.*

*Luna goes after the other Valkyrie, & they clash spears. Since this enemy is much closer in level to Noctis, the other doesn't lose quite half of its HP. It holds its spear behind its back & widens its stance.*

*Monudon attacks the shark again*

"Thanks for waiting," Sab said with a smile, "I'm ready to go now."

Noct quadruple slashes the unprotected chest of the Valkyrie.

*She shark, now critical, tail slaps him. It makes a rapid series of bites in a bid to take his ass down.*

*The Valkyrie drops to its knees, drained of color, before it can even get off its attack. It drops the spear & falls over on its face. Nearby, a skull drops on top of Luna. While she's recoiling from the attack, the Valkyrie stabs her right in the face.*

Euryale: Alrighty.

*Euryale resumes running.*

Noct rushes to the other Valkyrie, and quadruple slashes at it's back.

Hector followed along.

*Thiera moves forward, raising her staff. A pair of fireballs drop down one of the ghosts. Both ghosts begin charging spells.*

*They finally run into a Magic Portal. Regardless of whether or not they're happy, it opens to produce a quartet of Valkyries.*

Item Shopkeeper: Looking for somewhere to adventure?

Zalera: Between levels 20 & 25.

Item Shopkeeper: I can't say that I know of any myself. You could talk to the Magic Shopkeeper. He's always looking for areas that have magic scrolls.

Hector took the lead and sought out the Magic Shopkeeper.

*Monudon retaliates with his own flurry of blows*

Mortal swings at the leftmost one, while Sab attacks with a Juk Rom, which she expects to do almost no damage.

Assuming Noct killed the Valkyrie, she casts a Rue Rom on the ghost Thiera attacked. Should the Valkyrie be alive she goes back to double slashing at its back.

*The shark sinks & dissolves, leaving behind a Risky Treasure.*

Magic Shopkeeper: I've been looking for darkness scrolls in a Great Distant Fertile Land. You can get to it from this Gate.

*The ghost moans, losing focus on its spell. The other one drops a skull onto Noctis from a nearby hill. Luna races towards the ghost held immobile by spells, & slashes it.*

*It does moderate damage, enough for Mortal to finish it off. The other Valkyries quickly surround her. Euryale slashes one from behind, but another stabs at Mortal, while the third readies a skill.*

*Monudon opens the chest*

Noct continues with another Rue Rom.

Mortal slashes the one Euryale attacked, and Sab uses a Juk Rom on the one readying the spell.

*Purple gas seeps out of the chest, poisoning Monudon.*

*Luna slashes it again, bringing it down. The other ghost moves closer to Noctis before Thiera can catch it in a Vak Rom. So it decides to drop another skull on her.*

*That Valkyrie collapses, dissolving. The other one is slashed to shit with leaves, but nonetheless sweeps a downward slash at Mortal, followed by a side-to side attack. While it's in the middle of its fancy dance, Euryale hefts her blade & stabs it, which it takes like a boss.*

Noct adds a Rue Rom as well.

Mortal attacks the one that attacked her, and Sab uses another Juk Rom.

*Monudon uses a restorative, then continues walking*

*Once in the dungeon's second, small room, he sees small amounts of health lost amongst the purple bubbles, & realizes that the Restorative has done absolutely nothing.*

*With spinning discs of fire & water below it, & a psychotic woman suddenly vaulting on top of it & running it through with a spear, it doesn't stand a chance. As it sinks to the ground, it dissolves, leaving behind a Risky Treasure.*

~Noctis gains a level. Everyone else gains 2 levels.~

*Not quite done with its combo, the Valkyrie tacks on an upward swing, & then jumps up to swing downwards at Mortal. Euryale moves around her, holding her sword out in front of her, to block a stab aimed at Mortal from the other Valkyrie. She then retaliates by swinging horizontally into the Valkyrie's chest.*

*Realizing he used the wrong item, Monudon uses an antidote*
