Old Ones Return

*Thiera is about to say something, but that's when the bus shows up. She boards & deposits fare for both of them.*

*It isn't long before they reach the road separating the park from the library, which is about 5 floors, with a small crowd gathered at the front doors. A truck goes around the back.*

E"We might be able to sneak up from the loading zone."

*Kylie boards after her*

Kylie:<How much do I owe you?>

Taiyo: "Renamon can meet us up there."

E"I don't think she can jump all that way in a single leap. Which admittedly is going to make it hard for her to carry you. Maybe you should go with Agumon?"

T"Nothing. Don't worry, it's fine."

*She finds a seat a few back from the front, & sits near the window.*

*Kylie follows Thiera and sits down next to her*

<If you're sure. So, do you have a plan for dealing with the digimon?>

Taiyo: "Not a single leap, but it's not like there's no ledges or anything to grab on to. She can't really sneak in like the rest of us."

E"Oh, we can't sneak IN. If we try to open the door to the roof, there will probably be an alarm."

T"I talk to them, see what they want. If they get violent, DemiDevimon can put them to sleep."

Kylie:<Then do you send them home or something?>

Taiyo: "But what were you saying about sneaking?"

E"Well, I'm assuming we don't want everyone to see us fly up to the roof on strange monsters. No offense."

T"If they're in the fog when it returns to the Digital World, they'll be dragged along with it."

Kylie:<Sweet! Let's just hope that these digimon will talk with us.>

*Kylie smiles and hugs Lunamon tightly*

Taiyo: "I figured they had their way of getting up there. Except maybe Sallymon who can't fly or jump."

Salamon: "Sorry I'm not amazing like the fox or lizard."

"Follow me."

*Euryale walks around the perimeter of the park until she can cross the street to the unloading zone at the side of the library. Once there, she notices the truck driver exit, & enter the building.*

*The bus eventually deposits them near the subway, which people are filing out of, as service has been delayed, due to the freakish underground fog.*

Kylie:<Shall we go in?>

*Kylie nods in the direction of the entrance*

Taiyo: "That's how we're getting in?"

E"No. We're going up."

*Euryale waits for Koromon to drop off of her arm, generate the elliptical barrier around himself, & throw it off, then swipes the Hyper Wing card, causing Agumon to sprout wings.*

A<I need somewhere to take off from.>

E"Not a problem."

*Euryale heads over to a ladder built onto the truck & begins climbing up. Agumon follows after her.*

T"I don't see why not. It actually makes our job easier if they aren't in service."

*With that, she heads underground, where the tunnel is completely consumed in a thick fog.*

*Kylie follows her, still holding Lunamon*

Taiyo: "Is he making multiple trips?"

E"He can, if you need him too. I thought Renamon was taking you up."

Taiyo: "I don't think she can get me up that high in one jump."

*Kylie stumbles then shakes out her leg and continues walking*

Lunamon:<(Look! There it is.)>

Kylie:<(I see it. I hope we can talk things out. He looks tough.)>

*Digmon immediately rams one of its drills into the window of the ticket booth. Meanwhile, DemiDevimon flies in.*

T"Excuse me, Mr.--"

*Thiera checks her D-Power.*

T"Digmon?"

*The Digmon looks at her, then fires drills out of its free claw at her.*

E"I said that...but then you said she could grab onto ledges, & such."

A<Let's just do whatever we're doing fast. I don't think that guy's going to be happy if he comes back to find us standing on his truck.>

Taiyo: "Yeah, but that sounds like a two hand kind of thing."

*Lunamon jumps out of Kylie's arms and uses Tear Shot to intercept the drills*

Kylie:<Wait, we're not going to hurt you!>

*One of the drills is deflected, the other tears a large gash in Lunamon's side, exposing gridlines underneath.*

Digmon<Yeah, I believe that!>

*Digmon walks up to them, smashing the toll collector with its feet. DemiDevimon flies in front of it, trying to paralyze it, & consequently has to dodge a nose-stab. When that doesn't work, she chucks a dart in its eye.*

Digmon<GRRAAAAAAAGH!>

D<...I think I made him mad.>

*Agumon jumps up, grabbing Euryale under her arms. Euryale helps him push off, & with a few flaps he's able to stabilize & start flying towards the roof.*
