Cabin in the Woods

"Stop being so aggressive!" Stefan exclaimed from behind all of them. "He might not even be able to speak!"
Hector stepped wordlessly past Stefan to join the others outside.

R"He still ignored our warnings. And there's something about the way he moves that I don't like."

E"Don't worry about it, I'll take care of this."

*Euryale runs up towards the figure, swinging a fist towards his face. Before she even gets there, she slows down, like she's trying to push herself through quicksand. Soon afterwards, her head snaps back. As she falls, she twists to land on her stomach. Once on the ground, she begins coughing. When Roatha moves the beam to follow her descent, a pool of blood can be seen glistening below her chin in the light. Only now does the figure stop moving, standing wordlessly a few feet away from her.*

"Oh God, oh God, what's going on?" Stefan spoke almost in a whisper, taking a couple of steps back and gripping his cross so hard that his knuckles turned white. Hector kept his eyes on the figure and moved to grab Euryale and bring her back.

*Cameron also runs up to Euryale. Monu turns to Tirea*

Monu:<Run back inside and tell everyone what's going on.>

*Tirea nods and runs inside. Eve stays rooted to the spot, eyes fixed on the figure*

Azuma: "Well? Really, some of us need the bathroom for bathroom related purposes."

*Vanessa slaps him.*

V"God, shut up."

*She keeps coughing up blood as they're dragging her away. The figure begins walking towards them again.*

R"Give me the knife."

N"Are you insane? You saw what just happened."

R"Well, what other choice do we have? We have to do something if he gets to us. And we can't just leave her."

Eduj took Astarte's knife out of her pocket and set her down on the couch before moving to the door, leaving her alone and looking petrified. Meanwhile, Hector quickly dragged Euryale towards the door.
"Out of the way," He snapped at Stefan and Eduj, who were still standing in the doorway and quickly stepped aside to let them in.

Azuma: "Fine, I'll go behind a tree."

Azuma leaves the bathroom, Mimiru and Taiyo still in the hallway.

Mimiru: "Way to negotiate, mutt."

Azuma: "Yeah. Whatever."

The two head for the front room, Taiyo hangs back for a few seconds, staring into the bathroom at Vanessa and follows after them, a little creeped out by her.

Noct shrugged, "I hope so. Hey, what class are you going to?"

*Cameron continues to help drag Euryale. Meanwhile, Tirea runs up to Azuma and friends*

<There's something out there! Euryale's hurt....>

*Tirea gesture frantically towards the door*

*After taking their eyes off of it for a second, Hector looks up to find the figure's face hovering inches away from his. Even at this point, it's still a featureless, black mask. Those nearby hear a sound like a screaming garbled by loud static. Roatha & Nero grab Euryale's legs & practically throw them into the cabin, throwing the door shut & locking it. The hard landing causes a new wave of coughing in Euryale, who starts seizing up on it. Roatha jumps back as a loud bang comes from the cabin door. The creature continues rhythmically banging against it.*

A"First Aid, why?"

*Cameron runs into his room and returns with the first aid kit, and opens it next to Euryale*

Cameron:<What...what did it do to you?>

*Eve's face is white*

Eve:<I wonder...can it not enter?>

*Tirea runs into the kitchen, and returns with a can full of water and gives it to Euryale*

"That is in the Nursing building, right?" Noct asked, "That is next to my class. I'll walk you to your building." Noct finished off her pop-tarts soon after.

Taiyo runs over to Euryale while Azuma goes to the bathroom to retrieve towels and a wet rag. Mimiru goes to hold the door.

Mimiru: "What the hell happened? What the fuck was that?!"

*Thiera squeezes her way into the crowd, gently turning Euryale over. Once she does, they can see the blood trails that have dribbled down her chin & started soaking her shirt. Her eyes are also extremely red. Thiera notices that Euryale has kept her flashlight tightly in her clutches, & lays her hand on it.*

T"I need you to open your mouth as wide as you can & give me your flashlight. Can you do that?"

*Euryale opens her mouth weakly & releases her grip. Thiera takes it & peers into her throat.*

T"It's really irritated back here. Do you feel pain anywhere else?"

*Euryale weakly raises an arm & pushes on her chest & lower stomach.*

T"Then it's not just your throat."

*She turns to Cameron.*

T"She should be okay if this is all of the blood she's going to lose. Unless you have something for internal injuries, we should get her to her room."

*The banging gets more frequent once Mimiru shows up to hold the door, & seems focused on where she is. The door itself is visibly shaking.*

N"I don't want to bet on it. Maye if we try to stab it from under the door, we won't get hit by...whatever it does."

A"That'd be nice. But are you sure you want to go out in...that?"

*She indicates the rain, which is still falling steadily, accompanied by a weak lightning flash.*

Mimiru: "Yeah, don't bet on it. Just move her."

Azuma returns with towels and a wet rag.

*Cameron shakes his head*

<I don't think so. How should we move her?>

*Monu and Tirea go to help Mimiru*

Eve:<We could use a mattress as a stretcher.>

"We could try using fire to scare it away or hurt it," Hector suggested, though his tone suggested that he didn't really think it would work. "We have a lot of aerosol cans in here, and lighters. The fire that could produce probably won't hurt it, and is unlikely to start a forest fire, but I guess it might scare it away... maybe?"
Meanwhile, Eduj stood next to the three holding the door with the knife ready, looking quite determined to stab whatever came through. Astarte sat in the foetal position on the couch and cried softly.

"No, I don't want to walk into that at all, but I have class soon, and I can't be late," Noct said.

N"We're not trying your ridiculous fire plan! Roatha & I will move her. Everyone with stuff for her, follow along. Thiera, you're in charge."

*Nero grabs Euryale's legs & Roatha grabs under her arms.*

N"It'd probably help if someone gets on-hand to support her back."

*They lift, with some effort, because Euryale is taller, & with thicker limbs, than either of them.*

A"Alright. Fortunately, the rain looks like it's slowing down to a drizzle."

*Aroma gets up & starts heading out.*

*Cameron does as Nero suggests, and supports Euryale's back*

Eve:<I agree, fire's much to risky.Maybe we could fashion weapons out of something.>

Noct follows along after her, waving back to Sab and Mortal, who wave back. "I wanted to thank you for showing up yesterday. You didn't have to, but I'm glad you did."

Mortal and Sab both get another plate of food, mostly to wait out the storm.

Taiyo and Azuma follow the group. Mimiru continues to hold the door.

"What the fuck else are we supposed to do?" Hector looked to the shaking door. "If it can do that to Euryale, are we really going to try and stab it to death?"

*Nero shouts back from the hallway.*

N"If it can do that to Euryale, do you really want to open the door?"

T"And don't even think about shooting fire around if it gets in here."

*There is one more bang so forceful that it knocks the other painting off of the wall & makes an ominous crunching noise in the door. After that, it abruptly stops.*

*Once they get in the room & set her down on the bed, Roatha looks her deep in the eyes.*

R"I'm sorry I ever doubted you about that Trickster God idea of yours. Can I borrow your book?"

*She nods, & Roatha heads over to find it.*

N"What? That's not going to tell us anything, he's not a Trickster God."

R"Then what do you think he is?"
