*The Fates take pity on Cassandra's inability to properly strategize, & the sword breaks in half. The Knight retreats back to guard the weapons, one of the others coming to take his place. The Monk also comes after her.*

*Cassandra uses a Phoenix down on Safian before slashing at the knight*

Mortal contemplated what she wanted to do with her life while she ate.

*Euryale clinks the giant wing bones down on her plate.*

E"Well, I'm done. I guess I'll wait for you to finish."

OOC: Don't say "attack & use a Phoenix Down on Namond." It doesn't work that way.

*He, of course, slashes back.*

Mortal finished her last bite a few minutes later, "Thanks for waiting." Mortal wiped her mouth and stood up, "I'm tired..."

*Cassandra ducks out of the way then slashes again, using speed break*

"Me too. Let's go to bed."

*Namond's body yields a crystal, & so does that of the thief.*

*Cassandra runs and grabs the thief's crystal, while Safian goes to grab Namond's crystal. Then the two start running back the way they had come*

~Eagrose~

*This was a wise decision. They are both fully healed. In Cassandra's case, she's obtained Steal Heart, Steal Shield, & Steal Gil. In Safian's case, she's obtained all of Namond's abilities, stuff, & JP. The archer fires at Safian, but the arrow misses as she falls out of range, & because it's dark out. The knight is too far behind to keep up with them. The Monk attacks Safian with a Shockwave.*

*Safian charges Fire3 on the Monk, while they both keep running*

~Mandalia Plain~

*They wind up back on the plain, with low visibility because it's still the dead of night, but it doesn't seem as though anyone is following them.*

*They start heading back to Garland*

Safian:<I feel kind of bad.>

Cassandra:<Me too. We're horrible people.>

Safian:<Crash at my place?>

Cassandra:<Sure.>

Everyone snuggles with their snuggle buddy.

~The Magick City of Gariland~

*Sunlight streams into Safian's house. Outside, a flock of Chocobos can be heard racing off towards the Akademy.*

~The Free City of Bervenia~

*The city is now covered in banners of white & scarlet as a parade flocks to the hill that was said to be Ajora's birth place. If one looks carefully, craggly rocks stick out of the hillside, the ruins of Old Bervenia. The only new structure is a well of marble, which is currently supporting a golden throne, watched over by an assembly of clergy in Celebrant attire.*

~The Royal City of Lesalia~

*Euryale had woken up uncharacteristically early & went to visit Roatha in the guest bedroom. After checking his pulse, she held a hand over him & tried pulsing Chakra through his heart.*

"...Nothing, of course...."

*Lilith re-enters the tavern early in the afternoon, having went to visit the Royal Palace. She hangs her cloak on a nearby coat rack.*

*Safian exits her room, dressed, and pushes Cassandra off the couch*

Cassandra:<Gods WHAT?!?>

Safian:<There's something going on outside. Come on.>

*Cassandra groans and stands up. Having slept in her clothes, there's no need to change, and they both head outside*

Zac woke up and got ready for the day. As he came down stairs he saw Lilith hang up her cloak, "Good day, Lilith. Sleep well?"

Sab opens the door behind Euryale, and is startled to see her there. "Oh, hello," She said from the door, "I hope I'm not intruding, I merely wished to check on Roatha. I would have been here earlier but Noctis wouldn't let me go."

Mortal wakes up without a snuggle buddy. This greatly disappoints her.

~Lesalia~

*Euryale turns back to look at Sab, looking tired.*

E"No, it's fine. Nothing's changed."

L"Not especially. I've been restless ever since last night."

~Gariland~

*The Chocobos are being ridden by a group of knights. Their blue-&-gold uniforms & crown crests identify them as Lionsguard, the personal bodyguards of the Royal Family. As mentioned previously, they stop at the Akademy, and ask the guard posted outside to tell Professor Darlavan to come out.*

*Safian and Cassandra head up towards the Akademy*

Cassandra:<What's going on?>

Safian:<I have no idea?>

Cassandra:<Maybe your dad knows.>

"That is unfortunate," Zac said, "Did you already go to the castle?"

"I had assumed," Sab said. She sat at the edge of the bed, and clasped her hands together before making a quick prayer. "I hope he recovers," Sab said. She then looked at Euryale, "You seem exhausted, are you okay?"

~Lesalia~

E"I'm fine. I was just trying to use my powers to make him recover. But it seems that none of my Monk skills have any effect. I've tried Revive, Purification, & Chakra. In that order, no less."

*Since no one is talking to them, the Lionsguard pay them no mind. Darlavon emerges from the castle.*

Darlavon<You've summoned for me?>

Lionsguard<We've an official appointment for you, from the King: You are to report to Eagrose as the Lord of the Castle as soon as the peasant uprising has been quelled.>

*Safian and Cassandra wander a bit closer to listen in*

Safian:<(Maybe we should go put down that rebellion, and get revenge for Namond.)>

Cassandra:<(Maybe.)>

The three head out following the nearest clergyman.

Azuma: "Excuse us, do you have a moment?"

"What, he and Ovelia have fallen in love or something?" Zac asked with a small chuckle.

"Then perhaps it isn't a physical ailment that is causing this," Sab said.

*She holds out to him a certificate saying, "You are cordially invited to the celebration of the Royal Marriage of Princess Ovelia Atkasha and Duke Delita Hyral.*

L"They don't have a date yet, but they seem like they plan to do it soon."
