Year Two

Azuma: What was the point of coming here? There is probably something ominous about the old chemical plant, but it's probably too big for me. And teleporting across town took a lot out of me.

Its tire pops and the car swerves, hitting a pole. Three Tyranno Boys, two male and a female fall out of the car. A male who came from the backseat is packing an assault rifle. The male driver has an uzi and the female a revolver.

He squirms trying to break free.

Gunfire sounds from the liquor store. Mostly automatic fire followed by a thunderclap from a shotgun. More automatic fire then silence.

The message eventually goes through. In reality it was rerouted elsewhere.

The grip of the Homunculus only tightened. The other one rose to it's feet, having finished destroying the ground on which Dalia's blood could be found.
"These friends of mine are going to shred you," Dalia said quietly as she knelt by the boy's side and touched his cheek. "Unless, of course, you tell me where Raptor is."
At that moment Dalia, the Tyranno Boy and the two Homunculi switched to Alternate Space. The Homunculus holding him suddenly lifted him and tossed him to a third Homunculus which took him in a headlock. The other two approached him with their forearms replaced with blades.
"Talk, we're starting with your hands."
One of the Homunculi held the arm-blade to his wrist.
"Where is the Raptor?"

Grimm just continued watching.

*Luna swings her spear again, sending a swatch of electricity over them before ducking back into the alley for cover. She had a lot of kevlar, but she didn't want to see how much it could take.*

*Next, Thiera looks up the causes of necrosis, & then puts some of her damaged plant under the microscope, to see which one fits most likely.*

*Cameron files down and peaks though a window*

Azuma teleports to the chemical plant. It's too dark to consider going inside even though the boarded up main entrance has been exposed by the homeless and vandals.

He walks around back where he almost falls into a mudhole that is an old storm drain. The entrance to drain is big enough for a grown man to walk into with about an inch of clearance. Rumor has it, the pipe leads underneath Schwarzstein and possibly other major locations in the city.

The Tyranno Boys duck behind their care. The one with the assault rifle lays down suppressing fire while the other two move in.

Tyranno Boy: "I'm not going billy. I won't tell nothing."

The window explodes in a torrent of glass as the Tyranno Boy in the car shoots at him. Inside two Tyranno Boys who had gunned down the store clerk and proceeded to wreck up the place stop and fire on Cameron.

The necrosis causing compound present in the drug is something unlisted. Thiera made a new discovery. It only involved tampering with evidence.

"Nobody can find us here," Dalia warned. "Nobody is going to save you, and I can keep this going for as long as I want."
The Homunculus took two fingers away from him, letting them drop to the ground. It proceeded to completely crush them with its foot.

*Luna remains behind cover, while waiting for someone to come & get her.*

*This is not possible, because the only cause of necrosis is cell death, so she just has to see which part of the cell failed first.*

*Cameron flies back onto the roof, breathing heavily*

Music comes from around side the plant, Azuma peeks around the corner where three Tyranno Boys are hanging about, a bonfire lit in an old barrel and a ghetto blaster blaring the music.

He backs off as three is harder to deal with than two. They're also presently only trespassing.

The firing from the assault rifle ceases, but the one with the uzi takes over. The female turns the corner, pulling the hammer back on her revolver.

Tyranno Boy: "I don't shiv. Tyranno Boys don't talk."

OOC: Yes.

They exit the liquor store, firing up at him. Most of the gunfire stops when they get in the vehicle except for one who hangs out a back window still firing at him.

The mitochondria fails first. Should she look at another cell, a different part fails first. The only parts that don't fail are the parts exclusive to the plant cell, and the nucleus is usually the last part to fail.

The Homunculus further mutilated his hand by removing the rest of the fingers and slicing the palm in half. Each of the fallen fingers was stomped to pulp.
"You will die, and you will die painfully," Dalia further warned. "Tell me where Raptor is!"
She checked her watch, I still have time, but if I want to clean up I'll need to finish with him in the next five minutes.
Another Homunculus knelt down and stabbed him in the kneecap, one of the most painfully injuring locations on the body.

T"It looks like it's made to attack animal cells."

A"Should I send that through to the police, too?"

T"No. I think they're involved."

A"What? Why?"

T"There was no reason for our messages not to go through earlier. Aside from that, this is a sophisticated, experimental compound. Someone had to have a lot of influence to get this through. So we'll just hold on to the information until we can do something about it."

A"I don't like the idea of not doing anything...."

T"Better than to let the enemy know what we know."

A"I guess. What do we know?"

T"Not much. We need more clues, and we can't just stumble around blindly for them. We'll need a secret weapon, to gather information about the city."

*Thiera brings up Google Earth.*

*Luna swings her electrically charged spear head at the Tyranno. If it hits her in the side, great. If not, it should still fire a charge into her.*

OOC: Awesome.

*In response to the danger, Cameron's wings begin to glow and he unleashes a sphere of light at the car*

Azuma teleports back to the roof of his apartment building where Mimiru sits, waiting.

Mimiru: "You look haggard."

Azuma: "Came from the park."

Mimiru: "Hell were you doing there?"

Azuma: "Feels like something'll happen there. Maybe not today or even this year, but someday."

The Tyranno Boy takes the hit to the side, now unconscious.

The other two switch it up, the one with the assualt rifle resumes laying down suppressing fire.

The Tyranno Boy screams, but still shows no signs of talking.

===================================

The car swerves, avoiding the blast. They continue firing.

There's quite a bit of police movement.

"You know what we will do next?" Dalia snarled. "Your genitals will be pulped, your ears will be sliced off, and then if you still haven't spoken we disembowel you. If you tell me where to find Raptor, I will spare you."
The Tyranno Boy would feel a blade slowly pressing against the crotch of his pants and another resting just above his left ear. Dalia began to close her eyes, not wanting to see the effects of what she expected she would have to do.

*Luna once again hides until either they run out of ammo or come after her.*

T"There's a few big things going on right now."

A"Are you really going to go out so soon?"

T"Maybe. Let's just see what the ones closes to us are."

*She zooms in on the scenes closest to the campus.*

*Cameron jumps into the air, swerving to avoid bullets. He continues to fire the light spheres*

*Eve sits on her bed at home, staring at the ceiling*

[I'm about to ruin my life, aren't I?]

*Eve gets out her phone and texts Jin*

I'm in.

Mimiru: "Well, whatever. When did you leave, it's after eleven?"

Azuma: "Dunno. Were you up here the entire time?"

Mimiru: "Shut up."

The one with the uzi continues to advance, firing a spray of bullets every other second until Luna's in sight.

The Tyranno Boys goes into shock from his wounds.

A police cruiser parked on a corner turns its sirens on and gives chase to the Tyranno Boys, who begin firing at them having almost hit a pole avoiding Cameron's.

None of the police movement is near campus. It's more on the east side of the city.

*Nonetheless, Thiera checks to see what it's all about.*

*Luna fires a wave of electricity from her spear when the Tyranno Boy is in sight.*

*Cameron stops firing, but follows the police cars at a distance*

Dalia started walking away, heading in the direction of her home. Behind her the three Homunculi tore the Tyranno Boy to pieces, turning him into an unrecognizable mess. In particular, his face and hands were pulped. Though she couldn't see it as she walked away, Dalia felt a little ill. She ignored this and headed further into the alleys, coming out a fair distance from the scene of the murder. At the same time she renewed Alternate Space, causing the destroyed corpse of the Tyranno Boy to suddenly appear near the trashed taxi.

Jin beamed at her phone and replied.
Awesome.

The result is the same as before, the remaining one stops firing. Sirens can be heard in the distance closing in.

He eventually loses the cars.

One site is what appears to be a giant bat following a couple cars, one of which is a police cruiser.

The other site is further down, police moving in on a car wreck.

*She continues watching both sites on split screen. She notes that lack of audio is a flaw to her monitoring system. Perhaps she could plant some kind of auditory-recepting tree to fix it?*

*Luna runs out into the street, looking to see if there are any Tyranno Boys left. Her costume should protect her for a time, but if they have heavy artillery, they'll need to be put down before she continues with her plan. Should she not see any, she rushes to any open door of the Tyranno Boys van & looks around to see if she can find anything of note.*

Dalia returned to Alternate Space and started heading home. She continued to feel sick. She mostly blamed the wound for that, but she admitted that the gruesome murder had something to do with it.
"Oh well, just a senseless thug," She muttered.

Grimm climbed back down the fire escape and off into the alleys again, heading nowhere in particular.

The Tyranno Boy, still behind the car open fires, a round hitting Luna hard in the ribs. The kevlar holds, but there'll be a big bruise left behind.

As the sirens close in, the Tyranno Boy takes off.

As it gets closer to midnight, the streets become more and more barren until the red light district is far behind him and he's the only one on the street.

The chase comes to a halt when a blockade is set up. Not not much stems from the other site.

*Luna still quickly checks that van.*
