Taiyo: "What? No. That's a weird question."

Weather Reporter: "Sudden temperature spikes have appeared on the east side if the city and in the park. No known reason for why they occured."

In Mimiru's apartment, Azuma appears in his regular clothes and flops down beside her on the bed.

Mimiru: "Stop moping, it was your second day."

Azuma: "It's not that, I just kinda figured that maybe as Mutants, we wouldn't try and frost one another. I guess evil isn't bound by species."

Mimiru: "Is someone a sad puppy?"

Azuma whimpers.

OOC: [7:11:52 AM] Advent Snail: Guess I can add weather reporting to the list of things you don't understand how they work.

"Well, I was just thinking. First she just happened to have a plan for if we attacked. Now she's 'busy,' but she doesn't have any classes. And I have to tell you, I really don't see her being at a wild college party."

*Assuming she gets to the roof, Thiera grows 2 large leaves on her back, with a smaller, thinner pair underneath them. Then she takes to the sky. Tense vines pull them, flapping them like wings. She heads to the east side of the city, with Luna following a distance behind.*

Taiyo: "Lots of homework? She doesn't seem like the type to be jumping from rooftops and fighting crime."

The beach is her second home. Even in a thunderstorm she's still there as if she'd be sunbathing like any other day. Although without the sun she just lets the rain fall on her skin.

The city's going to Hell, but at least the weather's nice.

Mimiru: "Trying again tomorrow?"

Azuma: "Probably. Just going to try and avoid other weirdos. Starting with you."

He begins to stand up only to be pulled back down with a "Sit!"

The east side is pretty quiet. At least in the sense there's no gunfire or explosions. Just thunder and a few cars with sound systems turned up to stupid high volumes.

{Where?}

{Docks.}

*So she lands in a secluded area, folds up her "wings" around her torso, & heads for the docks.*

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

*She takes sip of tea, then damn near chokes on it with the shock of her sudden revelation.*

"Wait, no, the domino, she took that one domino."

Taiyo: "She wouldn't try it, right? Not after how it was found. Maybe she's doing detective things."

She has a long way to get to the docks being located on the west side of the city which is located on the west coast, but it gives her opportunity to linger around the part of the city with the highest crime rate.

Nearby a pair of SUV's park outside a scuzzy looking low-income apartment building a number of windows covered in foil.

*Eve enters her room and turns on the light, then goes over to the window seat, and grabs a box labeled "Old Homework"*

*She opens the box, and removes a silver mask and a long, thick, dark cloak*

*Cameron climbs from his windowsill to the big tree next to it, Kylie watching. As he;s right in the front of their yard, he can easily be seen by ether Jin or Eve from Eve's bedroom window*

"That's what I was implying. And the fact that she hasn't told us what she did with it implies that she's keeping some kind of secret."

"That's not suspicious at all."

*She heads up to the SUVs to see if she can see anything through their windows.*

Taiyo: "Maybe she doesn't want us to worry. Or she doesn't trust us."

The windows are tinted, so she can only see her reflection.

Sirens wail in the distance followed by the buzzing sound of fire engines. Someone looks out the front door of the building. The sirens don't get any closer, but further away until they can't be heard any longer.

*Cameron slowly climbs down the tree*

*Thiera backs away. Breaking into the car would be a crime, & she doesn't want to go down that road if she doesn't have to. Legally, she hasn't done anything wrong yet. She heads up to the building to see if the front door is open. Luna continues watching from behind one of the vans.*

Taiyo: "I don't know. Keeping it a secret? There's a big difference between telling her we're..."

She looks around to make sure no one's in earshot then leans forward.

Taiyo: "Mutants and stealing evidence."

The front door is open. And there is someone present in a navy blue suit and machine pistol.

Dalia continued to walk about the east side, checking her watch occasionally.

Grimm sighed and began walking back towards the east side.

"Hey, that's awesome," Jin ran over to see Eve's stuff, but noticed Cameron climbing down a tree. She tilted her head and pointed. "Um, what do you suppose that guy is doing?"

"(But, you think that is what she's doing with it? Vigilantism?)"

*She spews her sleeping gas below the door, because fuck that.*

Taiyo: "I don't know. I never figured she'd do something like that. We could ask Aroma about it."

Now she has an apartment building crawling with mobsters and who knows who else to deal with.

It's almost nine. Although the color of the sky says it should be later.

When outside the park, he sees a number of emergency vehicles heading towards the docks.

*Exactly as planned. She flattens the leaves of her "mask" against her head, elongating them so that they'll wrap around her neck & mouth. Then she releases more vines all over herself. Should anything get too close to them, even for an instant, they'll rapidly expand & turn into a hard bark. Additionally, she reshapes the vines around her wrist into some kind of contraption. With her preparations complete, she steps into the foyer, which is now filled with her sleep pollen, which her plants inoculate her against.*

"She should be out of class by now."

Dalia continued her round, looking for any suspicious activity on the streets, and listening for signs of trouble.

Grimm stroked his chin and followed after the vehicles.

Taiyo: "I can give her a call if she wants to meet somewhere. Or maybe we can go to her."

She hears voices coming from the floor above. All in Russian.

The vehicles are quickly lost.

Someone is following her. Possibly a mugger.

"I don't know where their dorm is."

*She figures she still might find something, like the dominoes, so she heads up the stairs.*

*Luna figures that Thiera is after the Russians & thus this has nothing to do with her, so she heads in the opposite direction.*

Dalia turned into an alley at her next opportunity to do so, then ran a few meters into it before turning and facing whoever may have followed her in, lifting the mask to half obscure her face.

Grimm traveled to the docks regardless.

*Eve turns around, and nearly drops the stuff she's carrying*

*Cameron glided the rest of the ay down*

Taiyo: "I can ask."

Taiyo pulls her cell from her pocket and calls up Aroma.

The talking gets more clear. It's still in Russian, so she can't understand a word of it.

At the top of the stairs is two more people in suits, also armed. A tree monster waltzing up the stairs being an unwelcome site, they raise their weapons.

Russian: "What the hell is that?"

Russian Two: "Smoke it!"

They open fire which attracts the attention of the others in the building.

Luna can hear the gunfire coming from the building.

It is in fact a mugger, packing a .38 Special.

Mugger: "Wallet, freak!"

He's got a long way to go on foot.

At the docks, a Russian in a black suit has a Mossberg pointed at Inquiry. He has a look on his face like he's never seen a person with no face before.

The warwhouse burns around them.

Russian: "Something wrong with your face?"

Inquiry: "Something's gonna be wrong with yours, if you don't stop pointing that scattergun at me!"

True to his word, a pair of shuriken fly out of the smoke, striking the mobster in the face, killing him.

With the sirens closing in, they make their escape.

*Thiera pegs them both in the neck with needles from the plant on her arm. They contain a powerful paralytic that affects skeletal muscles. She runs in the direction of the voices, knowing that she doesn't have much time left.*

*Luna tries to tell herself that it's none of her business, but worry gives way to her better, smarter, more practical side, & she runs into the building, spear drawn behind her.*

*Aroma answers after only 1 or 2 rings.*

"Ah, hello, Taiyo...what is it?"

"...Okay, just be calm," Dalia nodded. She narrowed her eyes and a Homunculus appeared in front of the mugger, obscuring Dalia from view and lifting a fist in the air before delivering a mighty punch to his face.

Grimm continued on towards the docks, looking out for suspicious people.

"Should we, um, do something? Like talk to him?" Jin asked, looking from Eve back to Cameron.

Taiyo: "Hi, Aroma. Ven and I wanted to ask you something. Is this a bad time?"

A person in fulll covering lab gear (the kind that resemble hazmat suits) emerges from a room behind her, revolver in hand. Two more Russians and another person in lab gear exit rooms in front of her, all armed.

Russian: "What is this? Tokugawa's employing Mutants? Fucking Jap can't send his own people?"

Luna is greeted by an unconscious Russian at the door. The gunfire has ceased momentarily, the only noise is currently her footsteps and an angry Russian.

The mugger fires off two shots. On the ground and bleeding, he begins to scramble to his feet, firing wildly over his shoulder.

The only suspicious person is himself as anyone else who's out is in a vehicle.

*Eve nods*
