Year Two

*Aroma walks off looking for something fluffier & less unsettling. Ven looks to the door.*

"Well, I like him. Or her. I can't really tell."

*Cameron lands near Jin*

<You're amazing.>

*Eve sets a bowl of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries on the table*

<Hope you like berries.>

"Thanks," Jin grinned before gulping down a mass of strawberries.

Taiyo: "Have you thought about getting a cat? Err...well, I guess the dorms probably don't allow pets."

There are rodents, a few rabbits, a pair of ferrets, and a chinchila. And the kittens.

At the door, is a male with shoulder length red hair. He and Kari seem to know each other fairly well as she doesn't appear to be acting timid like when they had entered.

T"I don't think they do, but I've never really checked."

*Ven walks over to Aroma, who pets a bunny.*

Cameron:<Yeah, thanks.>

*He starts to eat as well. Eve sits at the table, deep in thought*

Taiyo: "Maybe a fish or something that's in a cage or tank, but I don't think they'd allow cats or anything big like that."

It's a big floppy eared rabbit. It doesn't do much but lie there and take it because it's old and not very active.

Kari comes around a shelf.

Kari: "Um...we're closing in a few minutes."

T"Maybe we could talk to housing about it. Aroma seems like she might want an animal companion."

A"Oh...okay. Come on, Ven, let's get the others."

*They head to tell the others that the place is closing soon.*

*Cameron turns on the tv while eating*

Taiyo looks at the others as they enter.

Taiyo: "You came to play with the kittens too?"

The bus driver leaves the alley looking pretty mellow and gets on his bus. It's the last one to leave.

A"Awww, we didn't get to play with the kitties...."

*Ven rolls her eyes.*

V"I'm afraid they're closing."

Dalia moved onto that bus, looking the driver up and down as she boarded.

*Cameron turns to Jin*

Cameron:<So, what do you like to do for fun?>

And so they leave. As the idea of going for a meal was brought up earlier, they presumably go to the diner near the pet store.

A server seats them and after delivering their drinks wanders off so they can decide on what to order.

He stills looks pretty mellow albeit a tad nervous as some weirdo stares him up and down. He reeks of something skunky.

*Aroma takes a bite of salad, staring into her grape juice.*

A"So...that was fun."

*Thiera pauses on her way to bite a sub. She has lemon tea.*

T"Aroma, would you like to see if we can get a pet?"

*Aroma's fork clutters as she drops it on her plate.*

A"Yes. Please."

*Ven laughs, then takes a bite of a burger. She has a small Pepsi/Coke like soda.*

Taiyo takes stops eating her poutine and takes a sip of her orange juice.

Taiyo: "What kind pf pet would you get if you can get one? I still don't think something like a cat would be allowed."

T"We'll check the handbook."

A"Well...assuming we can't get a kitty, I kind of liked the bunnies."

Dalia took a seat and looked around at the other passengers.

"I run and stuff," Jin answered, kicking air as if showing off. "I'm always full of energy and I can move really fast. It makes sense for me to put that to good use. What about you?"

*Cameron shrugs*

<Anything that doesn't involve going outside. People tend to think I'm a weirdo if I do.>

Taiyo: "That'd be pretty neat."

They're typical users of public transportation. All weirdos.

Having screwed around outside the bus depot, she missed the deaired bus amd is now heading for the north end of the city.

T"That's not bad. Or a turtle."

V"Well, if the pet store doesn't work out for you, you could always adopt from the humane society."

Dalia took a seat and quietly rode the bus to the north end.

"That's a shame... I guess," Jin said.

Taiyo: "Would the humane society have things besides cats and dogs?"

As she gets closer to the north end, she can notice a vast difference between it and some of the other parts of the city. There aren't police cruisers on every other block and overall the buildings look much nicer. Even more when the bus turns into the residential areas.

The two leave out the back, the boss saying he'd finish closing up. Without warning, Azuma links an arm around Hitomi's teleporting to a rooftop across the alley. She coughs and tries to catch her breath.

Azuma: "Sorry about that. Takes a little getting used too."

Azuma points to an all too familiar vehichle as it comes down the alley and parks behind the store.

V"Any pet that's been released into the wild, really. It has to be something that we can't just relocate, in order for us to take it in. Also something that it is legal to own, obviously."

*Cameron shrugs*
