Game-Changers & Grudge Matches

<Ven grabs her opponent's feet & they both take a tumble...waiting on the ref's...Ven hit the ground last, which means that the Dragons win the match! Let's just assume she planned that one.>

*It's non-conductive. Vanessa pulls Stefan towards her & jabs at his shoulder. He also has a giant slab of rock flying at his back. Meanwhile, the Purist attacking Hector rolls away as Hector realizes that there isn't always water just lying around.*

*Euryale walks through the fog towards her.*

"Oh, there you are. I'm glad I found you, I didn't want to risk blowing your cover or having to blindly search for you. So, what did you find?"

*As she is speaking, she is unaware of the faceless figure rising up behind her, 6 tentacles wiggling out of its back.*

Astarte gave Roatha a shocked smile.

Stefan jerked himself to one side to avoid the jab, and also took himself out of the path of the rock. Eduj rose to his feet, lifting three more rocks with him. He cast one down at the Purist on the ground, another at Hector's attacker as he came out of his roll, and held the third ready. Hector began spitting on his knuckles.

<I need to file a police report. Is there someway I could do it from here?>

*Tirea screams with joy, smiling broadly*

Noct gives a fist pump, and lets out a sigh, "Great..."

Gabe jumped and threw her hands above her head, "Yes!" She let out a sigh, and gave Ven a hug, "Good job, Ven."

"Euryale, come to me right now, there is something behind you!" Mortal said, stopping in her tracks.

*Ven had just barely stood up when she was hugged. She pats Gabe on the back, not sure of what else to do. The Mongoose Lizards line up in preparation for the next round.*

*Euryale turns around in time to have tentacles wrap around her waist, arms, & legs, lifting her slightly into the air. As she struggles to get away, the armor on her left arm is pulled off, & just sort of disappears into thin air. Shocked, she pops a katar out of her right arm & cuts the tentacle holding it. Said tentacle rapidly regrows, & more begin sprouting out of its back.*

*It doesn't work that way, & he's hit with a large rock. As he's dazed, Vanessa aims another three quick jabs, at each shoulder & at his right thigh. Eduj's strikes miss wildly as his legs give out. Two rocks fall uselessly around him, while the other smashes the railing above. The other 2 Purists both get up & dive to tackle Hector.*

Mortal rushes up and punches the thing in the face with a flaming uppercut.

*Not wanting to be left out, Tirea also gives Ven a quick hug before lining up*

*She can barely reach its face, & when she does, it feels like punching a tree. A tentacle wraps around her waist as Euryale cuts herself free but for her feet, including slicing another tentacle that was heading towards her arm. As she scrabbles across the deck, her leg pieces are pulled away, & disappear as well.*

<The bell for the next match begins, & the Mongoose Lizards again each fire a couple shots at Ven. They knew what worked last time, & they're ready to up the ante.>

Mortal cuts that shit away with a flame dagger, and tries to get around Slendy. "We have to get out of the fog, I think," Mortal said.

Gabe attacks their earthbender as well, launching a double fisted blast followed closely by a roundhouse kick propelled blast.

<The Dragons really go all out against the Earthbender. Neither player can defend themselves, & they're both knocked back 2 Zones. Both Earthbenders get up & quickly begin running, launching volleys at their assailants. In addition, 2 fire blasts and a kick are launched at Gabe, and a torrent of water potshots at Tirea.>

*Not needing to be told twice, Euryale runs along its other side, turning in front of the house & heading for the cars.*

"Is that the Spirit?! How did it sneak up behind me like that?!"

"I'll be checking up on patients basically for the rest of the night. We've had a lot of Purist attacks lately."

Gabe smiled a bit, happy that the other team wasn't just focusing on Ven any more. She dove out of the way of the volleys launched at her, and sent a volley of two punch-blasts at the water bender.

"I don't know," Mortal said, heading that way as well, "It can just... sink in and out of the ground."

*Tirea runs out of the way before firing three arcs in return*

<The Mongoose Lizard waterender cartwheels out of the way...I think. There's so many elements flying every which way, I can barely tell what's going on. The clay dust is building at the center of the arena....>

*A large blast of fire launches out of the smoke towards Tirea. Ven holds out a hand, but hesitates--would clearing the dust be cheating?*

<Ooh, & Ven takes a disc to the stomach, knocking her into the drink. I don't know where her mind was, but it definitely wasn't in the ring.>

*Meanwhile, the Waterbender jumps to get a good look at where Gabe is, water clinging to his feet, & sends a pair of wide, arc shaped kicks at her.*

*Euryale looks down at the road they're now running on. There's still fog, but it's slightly thinner here.*

"Then why isn't it following us now?"

*As she reaches a truck, she spends several seconds trying to unlock it before realizing that it's Mortal's.*

"Well, Tarrlok's & Saxeus's big anti-Purist plan goes into effect tomorrow, so hopefully we'll start to see some improvements."

*Tirea ducks and sends a few shots back at the fire bender*

Hector, forming a row of little spikes of ice on each fist, swung a hit at the temple of one of the oncoming Purists. Meanwhile, Stefan tried to block the jab to his shoulder by smacking her hand away with his unrestricted hand and Eduj lifted up the rocks again without standing.

Gabe squats down, and cups her hands together, a ball of fire growing between them. She then launches her hands in front of her up at the water bender shooting out a large fireball, hoping to plow through the kicks, as well as peg the bender right out of the sky.

Mortal unlocks the door for her, "I have no idea, but I'm not really going to sit there and ask."

OOC: I have no idea if LoK has 2-way radios. They've got a complicated history.

*As Euryale has her own truck that she needs to get back, she just goes over & unlocks it.*

"Fair enough. I don't think there's anything more we can do here. Let's meet up somewhere to exchange information. How about the next diner we find?"

<The Mongoose Lizards are both knocked back to Zone 2. Their Earthbender tries to pick up the slack by hurling more discs at both remaining Dragons. The dust cloud has begun to clear.>

"Uh, well, I believe there are a lot of Metalbending Police coming from Ba Sing Se as back-up."

*Hector's arm is still Chi Blocked, so he has only one fist to attack with. He dazes one Purist, but the other has tackled him. Grabbing Hector's wrist with one hand, he jabs at his shoulder with the other. One of Stefan's legs & his unrestricted arm are numbed. As he now has no defense, she jabs his other arm, disabling it. She then quickly ties his arm & numb leg together before rolling off, crossing her blades in front of her & watching Eduj carefully.*

<That's excellent news.>

*Eve tries to sit up*

*Tirea jumps up, and sends a arc kick at the fire bender before landing and sending a few shots at the water bender*

"Okay," Astarte nodded and stood up.

Eduj continued to lift rocks about the size of his own head, and then rapidly fired them. One was sent towards the dazed Purist, another to the Purist who had tackled Hector, and two towards Vanessa. As soon as he had finished with them he lifted another two chunks. Hector, with very few options, splayed out his fingers as he hit the ground, causing the spikes on his knuckles to launch into the Purist's eyes.

*As per the agreed upon rules, since there has not been a post for Gabe in several days, she is hit by a disc.*

<Both Firebenders go back a Zone. The water Mongoose Lizard cartwheels out of the way. With seconds on the clock to save the round for his team, he sends out a kick at Tirea, shots that arc around to either side of her, & finally an overhead 2-fisted water whip.>

*And so they find Ven sitting next to the water. She pulls her helmet off & blinks up at them.*

R"We thought you might need healing before the final round. Does it hurt anywhere?"

*Eve feels a searing pain in her abdomen & chest as she tries to force herself up.*

*They don't go anywhere near his eyes, the Purist has no idea what the Hell Hector is doing. He proceeds to Chi Block Hector's remaining arm before being struck with a big ol' rock from behind. Vanessa deftly dodges the rocks aimed at her.*

*Tirea sends her own arcs to intercept the opponent's water arcs, before kicking up to send two arcs at the remaining attacks, and then sends a barrage of shots at the opponent*

*Eve bits her lip to prevent herself from screaming, and then lays back down*

Astarte lifted up two large orbs of water which began to glow, "Where does it hurt the most?"

Eduj punched another large rock aimed at Vanessa, causing it to explode and fire at her in smaller, numerous chunks. At the same time he had slammed a palm into the pavement and made a sliding motion. This caused the ground under Hector to burst up in a catapulting motion and project him land next to Eduj. He repeated the motion to bring Stefan to him.

Gabe tries to shoot a double fisted blast at the water bender while he is doing all of that crap.

"Sure," Mortal said, giving a thumbs up (assuming those exist in Avatar) and shut her door and began to drive out of there.

*All that happens is that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] out by rocks slamming into the backs of their heads. Vanessa falls down with a bunch of laceration & puncture wounds, her face covering torn & falling off. The other Purists rush Eduj.*
