Cabin in the Woods II

Azuma: "Well, his monster talk is pretty crazy."

Taiyo walks close to Euryale, holding on to her arm.

Taiyo: "It finally got better."

"Well, can we get in the cars now?" Hector asked. "It'd be nice to take the weight off our feet."

E"I told you we'd make it through this."

Ted<Yeah, I guess.>

<So should we take them now?>

Ted<Nah, we'll wait a few minutes to see if the rest are found.>

Azuma: "You can at least put us in the car, right?"

Hector, Astarte and Eduj waited to be directed to a vehicle.

*Cameron waits with the others*

*Monu grins as he walks*

*Ted doesn't appear to give a fuck about guiding a bunch of helpless kids by the hand. He turns as the rest of the group emerges onto the scene. Vanessa just gets into a car.*

Ted<Looks like everyone's accounted for.>

*Eve turns to Thiera and and whispers*

<(Do you get the shadow man erased Stephan from existence? If we are truly the only ones who still remember him.)>

*Cameron and Monu wave, then Cameron follows Vanessa into the car. Monu and Tirea head into another car*

Hector, Astarte and Eduj got into another car.

T"(I don't know...that might explain what it can do. Oh!) Um, my friend--"

*She gestures to Euryale.*

T"--had kind of...a bad fall. Do you think we could get an MRI for her?"

Ted<As long as her insurance covers it, I don't see why not.>

<(Maybe. We need to investigate once we get back to the university.)>

*Eve waits beside Thiera and the others*

Azuma: "Speaking of injuries, I got a case of broken wrist and a gnarly wound on my side that should be better looked at."

Ted<Don't worry, you'll all have the chance to address your respective concerns. You 2 gonna be good out here waiting for a tow while we head back?>

*The cops next to the broken-down car nod while the rest begin climbing into their vehicles.*

I wouldn't expect to see them back at the station

Azuma: "Then if we're all just piling into vehicles."

Azuma and Mimiru enter an available police cruiser. Taiyo gets into whichever one Euryale is going in.

The three waited in the vehicle they had entered.
"We're going home, r-right?" Astarte asked, her voice muffled by Hector's sleeve.
"Yeah," Hector rubbed her shoulder. "We'll see Dad again."

*Eve enters which ever Thiera had*

*They are driven to the hospital & escorted into the waiting room. At this point, the cops tell the nurses about Euryale & Azuma, & they are told to follow along into the back hall.*

E"Hold on, does anyone have something to write with? And on."

*Roatha digs out the paper & marker that he is still carrying & hands it to Euryale. She scrawls her number across it several times & rips it apart, handing a piece to Taiyo, Thiera, Astarte, Mimiru, & Eve.*

E"Sorry, I don't have enough for everyone."

*Eve accepts the paper and nods*

<Thanks. Wait, I have some paper in my bag.>

*Eve removes a piece of paper and passes it to Euryale*

Taiyo accepts the paper. She then wraps her arms around Euryale and kisses her.

Taiyo: "Hope there's nothing wrong."

Azuma: "I'm sure I can get it from someone."

"Yeah, I live with Astarte, so I don't need it," Hector said quietly.
"Um, ah, have our relatives been contacted, or something?" Astarte asked, staring at the number she had been given, but not really reading it.

Ted<Not yet.>

*Euryale reciprocates.*

"It'll be fine. It's just an MRI, right?"

Nurse<Excuse me, but we really need to get you kids checked out, quickly.>

Azuma: "Lead the way."

The trio waited.

*While they're in there, Ted suggests they use the hospital phone. Thiera uses it to call her Mom & arrange a visit. Nero had just gotten off of the phone with his parents & stepped back with Astarte whenever Euryale & Azuma emerged, the latter's arm in a sling.*

T"Well? What did they say?"

E"I don't have any major injuries left. But what I do have is consistent with...radiation burns."

*She looks confused & disturbed.*

T"Oh. But you're fine, right?"

E"I have no wounds. They said I should be on the lookout, in case the cells have turned cancerous."

N"But, on the positive side, this means we have proof that something weird happened."

*Euryale shakes her head.*

E"They 'explained' to me that there must be a natural radon buildup in the cabin."

Upon hearing the news about Euryale, Taiyo looks worried.

Taiyo: "You are fine, right?"

Azuma: "Better shape than me. Hopefully."
