Cabin in the Woods II

"Does that mean we should all be getting checked for cancerous cells?" Astarte asked. "Or, I mean, they think we should all look out for them? Because we were all in the cabin..."

*Euryale rubs Taiyo's shoulder.*

E"I imagine I'm in about the same boat as Azuma."

T"It'd probably be a smart idea. Mostly those attacked by the Shadow. I think that's what did it to them."

Hector excused himself to use the phone and call his father.

Taiyo huddles up to Euryale.

Azuma: "That's not somewhere you want to be. Anywho, I got attacked too, but I could still walk afterwards. Somewhat."

Mimiru: "How'd Euryale end up barely mobile while Azuma came out unscathed compared to her?"

T"Where were your burns?"

*Euryale gestures over her chest & abdomen.*

T"That's it, then. With that many muscle groups damaged, it would be almost impossible for you to get around."

Azuma: "Okay, fair enough. Y'know, this is pretty terrifying thinking, let's talk about our plans when we're all done here."

Hector returned from making his call.

*Monu, Tirea, and Cameron go to use the phone, while Eve sits beside near the others*

Eve:<Hm, I should probably get checked then. What I can't seem to find a logical explanation for is Stephan....)>

*Eve stares off into space*

*Euryale hugs Taiyo.*

E"Well, I'd better catch a bus back to campus and see if I still have a dorm."

R"Yeah, I guess we should, too."

*Roatha indicates himself & Nero. Vanessa just walks out the front door.*

*As Monu and the others return, Eve stands up, but turns to Thiera before she heads over to the phone*

Eve:<Um, Thiera, could I talk to you for a second?>

T"Uh, sure, what is it?"

*Eve stares down at her feet*

<My parents are in England, and it'll take them about a day to get here. I'm not sure if I'll even have a room here anymore.>

*Eve takes a deep breath*

<Could I stay with you for one night? I'm not sure where else to turn. I'll pay you back, I promise.>

Plus I'm slightly afraid to stay alone.

*Thiera steps back, looking startled.*

"Uh...I don't know, you'd have to ask my mom."

*Sab is hit in the face by a door.*

"...Ohmygoshareyouokay?!"

*Aroma rushes to her side, brushing hair out of Sab's face to get a look.*

"I didn't expect anyone you to be coming out! I'm so sorry!"

*The man from last night enters, sporting a black eye, & another bruise to the other side of his head. He starts towards the guy in back.*

<Hey, Sen, do you have-->

"I thought I told you not to call me that...are you ignoring me? Whatever, just spit it out, already."

*He'd caught sight of Noctis & started backing out of the room. Senthose finally turns, & starts to stand up.*

"Hey, what is it? What do you want? And why do you look like someone used your face as a tether-ball?"

*When the guy takes off down the hall, Senthose makes no effort to pursue. The teacher, a brown-haired woman in her late thirties, is fixated on sorting paperwork. She either does not notice, or is ignoring, what is going on.*

"...Fucking weirdo."

*Eve bites her lip and looks embarrassed*

<I'm sorry, I will when she, um, arrives.>

*Monu, Tirea, and Cameron sit down on the nearest bench*

Monu:<I can't believe I'm going to see them again.>

Cameron:<I know what you mean.>

Taiyo hugs Euryale back.

Azuma: "Oh, damn, that's right. Homelessness will kinda suck."

Mimiru: "Looks like we all have the same thing to do."

Sab has an urge to scurry out the door and away from harm as if by instinct, but stops herself when she realizes it is only Aroma. She smiled, and tried to act like she wasn't incredibly embarrassed about being hit by a door, "I'm, uh, fine, ow." She sat up, and put a hand on her nose and tried to massage some pain away as a tear welled in her eye, "I was just going to go and see if you were still at class. I'm sorry, I should have walked you home..."

Noct wasn't going to say anything, but let out a sigh, figuring it wouldn't be normal not to say anything. "That guy insulted friends of mine last night. He is a bigot and homophobic, so I beat him up for it. He was probably spooked when he saw me." Noct slings her bag over her shoulder, and makes for the door, "You should get better friends, 'Sen'."

"Did you now? That's funny."

*He sits on the table, folding his arms.*

"Are you volunteering? Just now you assumed that I was friends with someone because we had a conversation. Now you & I are having a conversation. Can I take that to mean that you are under the assumption that we are friends?"

R"I'm sure housing will take care of us. I mean, it's not our fault we almost died on a school-sponsored trip."

*At that moment, a woman wearing a white dress with bare sleeves, a high collar, & green vine patterns extending down to her calves, as well as a white shawl & a green scarf, enters the double doors of the lobby. Her hair is white, & the ends of it are tied into a little tail & thrown over her shoulder. Thiera jogs up to her, to be pulled into a tight embrace, the woman sobbing slightly into her shoulder.*

T"Hi, Mom! Oh...please, I wasn't gone--"

Binah<You don't need to act tough. Believe me, I know you are. But...sometimes it's not enough. I was worried.>

*She steps back, wiping tears & hair out of her face.*

Binah<Let's go home.>

Noct looked back and shook her head, "We've had two, but it takes more than that to be a friend of mine. You don't even know my name." Regardless of what she was saying, Noctis stopped heading towards the door, and turned to face Senthose, her arms crossed.

Sab smiled at that, "Either way, lets walk home from now on. Maybe we can walk towards each other after class, and meet in the middle." Sab rubbed her nose a bit again, and winced, though the pain was slowly fading away.

Azuma: "That reminds me, I should probably call my brother."

Azuma heads off to use the phone, Mimiru walking beside him.

Taiyo: "I should call my parents too."

*Euryale keeps holding on to Taiyo.*

E"Just one last thing."

*She gives Taiyo a quick kiss on the forehead before letting her go & heading to the doors.*

E"Call me!"

"Interesting. So, what you're saying is, having 1 or 2 conversations with a person isn't grounds to go around assuming that they're on good terms with each other."

*He unfolds his arms & starts walking for the door.*

"By the way, it's Senthose. Senthose Rasheverek."

"Oh God, is it broken? I broke your nose, didn't I? We have to get you to a nurse!"

Noct does as well, and holds open the door for him, "Noctis Talea. I think I see what you're getting at, and I'm sorry for assuming things. I've been a bit on edge lately."

Sab shook her head, and put a hand on Aroma's shoulder, "No, its fine, it is just still tender. I think I have a low pain threshold... No shock there." She then smiled a bit, "Can I have a kiss 'hello'? Not that I don't appreciate the door."

Taiyo waves, shouting bye. Then she's told to quiet down.

Azuma and Mimiru return. Taiyo goes to use the phone.

Azuma: "So, our families know we're all well and good. Grandma Tugai even stopped the seance."

Mimiru: "She means well."

Astarte and Hector's father turned up at about this point, having come straight to them after the call. Astarte immediately burst from Hector's side and wrapped her arms around him. He smiled and returned the embrace, and was obviously incredibly relieved.
"Hey Dad," Hector stood to one side of them and smiled. Eduj also smiled a little.
"It's so, so good to see you," Sidon broke his embrace with Astarte, but kept a hand on her shoulder as she wiped her eyes with her sleeve. "Can you come home, now?"
"I think so."

N"(Damn it, cock-blocked.)"

R"Let's just go. You'll have your chance later."

*Aroma quickly, probably a little overzealously, plants one on Sab's lips.*

"Thank you."

*He heads through the door.*

"By the way, I am sorry you had to deal with that guy. He's basically a nuisance wherever he goes. I don't think he's dangerous, though."

A tall redheaded male walks in wearing a pilots jacket and faded blue jeans.

Azuma: "Over here."

Kentaro: "You look like something the cat dragged in. Not that one--"

He points at Taiyo who had just returned.

Kentaro: "But a big scary one. Like a cougar. Mimiru here beat the hell out of you?"

Azuma: "Long story. Mind taking us home? Or to your place until the morning when we can find out our housing situation."

Kentaro: "All right."

Mimiru: "Taiyo, do you have a ride home?"

Taiyo: "Yes, but I guess I can go with you. I just need to call my dad."

Kentaro fishes around in his coat pocket for his cell and holds it out to Taiyo who hesitates a moment before taking it to call her father. A short conversation later, she gives it back.

Kentaro: "All rights, kiddies. Let's hop into my decrepit pick-up and go somewhere that doesn't smell of bleach and death."
