Cabin in the Woods II

Azuma: "Goodie. I suggested that, but he was all 'I don't want to go out there, it's scary and I'm a wuss'. Also I have glass in me. Can't stress that enough."

E"I was asking specifically because you asked. Starting to think he's right about you."

T"All right, I can try to dig them out now that I've gotten your hand all wrapped up. Take off your shirt."

"I'm not really sure yet. I just want to help people."

"That is very noble of you," Sab said, "What made you want to become a doctor, aside from just wanting to help? I mean, you can help people in a lot of different ways, so why a doctor?"

"We should get something," Eduj spoke up. "Instead of bickering, why doesn't somebody suggest something else for a barricade? Perhaps one of the bed frames?"

Azuma: "Because that means doing something productive."

With his usable hand, Azuma yanks his shirt of.

Azuma: "Is it gross? Tell me it's gross."

*Tirea returns to the living room, while Eve enters from the kitchen*

Tirea:<Closet and bathroom are clear!>

*Cameron heads over to Hector*

<What is it?>

T"It is pretty gross."

*She grabs some kind of tweezers & starts digging around in one of his wounds, pulling out a glass shard, which she lays on a strip of gauze that she lays out. Then she moves on to another.*

N"What are we going to do, rip the fucking bed frame off? There's just nothing to use."

"Well, I thought about being a fireman, but I didn't think I could pull a 6 foot tall man to safety."

*She laughs.*

*Monu heads over and sits against the door to hold it closed*

Eve:<That could work, for a while at least.>

"I tried getting a cat from a tree once, and fell and broke my arm," Sab said a bit embarrassed, "Actually, that might be why I went into medicine."

Azuma: "That's unfortunate. How is one of you going to keep it held shut when two of them could barely hold it last time it came knocking on Heaven's door?"

*Monu shrugs*

<I don't know.>

"Something murmured in there," Hector pointed into his room.

"Beds aren't difficult to shift," Eduj replied. "If we take the mattress off, we can use it to barricade the door, can't we?"

T"It also might just reach through the door, & kill you."

*On that happy note, she moves on to disinfecting the wounds, taking bits of gauze, soaking them in alcohol, & dabbing at them. She has an antibiotic spread over a sheet of gauze, which she will use to wind around his abdomen.*

N"I guess we can take the mattresses of everyone on watch & hope to all that is holy that they weigh enough to block the door. Are you about done so we can check out Whiney Boy's room, & he'll hopefully stop complaining about it?"

*Aroma makes a face.*

"Ouch. I'm sorry that happened to you...was the kitty okay?"

Azuma: "I won't stop until the wounds are healed. Then I'll brag about the scars."

"It kind of just hopped down a few seconds later," She said, growing red with embarrassment. "It wasn't a big tree, but I fell awkwardly."

*Cameron nods and shines his flashlight around the room*

Monu:<Alright, I just thought I'd hold it closed while you were deciding.>

*Shortly after they see & hear nothing in that room, Azuma is all patched up.*

T"You can put your shirt back on, now."

"Well...it's the thought that counts, right?"

Azuma: "All righty. Mighty cold in here."

Azuma puts his shirt back on.

Azuma: "Thanks for the fix up. Now to check for monsters under the bed and in the closet."

Mimiru helps him to his feet.

"I guess," Sab chuckled a bit, "You know, you kind of remind me of that cat. I kinda sorta liked you since we were roommates, but I didn't know how to broach the subject. At least now I didn't break my arm before you, I don't know, hopped out of the tree."

*Cameron shrugs to Hector*

<I guess it was nothing.>

Tirea:<I didn't see anything in Monu's room, but that was the only one I've been in.>

T"Well, let's get Euryale to bed. Is anyone else injured?"

*Aroma scratches her head.*

"What?"

*Tirea and Eve shake their heads, and Tirea heads over to help Euryale*

"I was worried about having to work hard for you to take an interest in me, but you already liked me, and I didn't know."

Taiyo begins to help Euryale up.

T"Alright, we need 2 or 3 of these mattresses, which means that a lot of us are going to have to stay up to keep watch. Roatha, go get Taiyo & Euryale some water."

R"Aye-aye, Captain."

*He heads over & pours water into 2 cans. As he's turning it off, it gurgles & spits, signifying that they're starting to run out.*

*Euryale looks at Taiyo from in bed.*

"See, I told you we'd get through this. We've survived a lot of attacks, and now we're almost home. We just have to push through a few more days."
