Old Ones Return (II)

Kylie:<Yeah!>

*Kylie slashes it, and Lunamon uses the sickles to help clear their path*

*Oddly enough, this doesn't speed them up at all, it just takes the time required to duck around obstacles & transfers them to cutting them down. Without warning, a tree trunk nearby explodes, as a blast of sound wizzes out of the trees at it. Looking to where it came from, they can see a Geckomon in a loincloth standing on a branch. More Geckomon appear on various trees, & Toy Agumon with little bows also appear at their bases.*

Patamon turns and flies back to the others, flying over or under Lunamon whichever works to avoid her.

Patamon: "Damn it, we just wanna talk!"

*Lunamon stops cutting down stuff*

<Please, we're friends.>

*She puts the scythe on the ground*

*The sickles are attached to her arms, so. The Digimon forces all step back with hushed whispers of "the chief is coming." At that moment, a Lillymon walks out from deeper in the jungle, only it wears garlands of gold-orange flowers around its neck & head. Euryale looks down at her D-Power.*

"Level ultimate...I hope she doesn't want to fight...."

<First you want to destroy our village, now you want to talk? What do you have to say for yourselves?>

Azuma: "Bit of a misunderstanding. We're here to find out who destroyed your village. We'll be out of your hair momentarily."

Kylie:<Those were different humans.>

Biyomon:<Bad humans.>

Lilymon<We only know that humans destroyed the village. Humans who took control of Digimon.>

Azuma: "Well, we're different. We work alongside Digimon."

Patamon: "No one forced us to be with them."

Lunamon:<Yeah, we're stronger when we work with our partners.>

Lilymon<And this concerns me how?>

"We just want to know if there's anything else you can tell us about the people who destroyed the village. What did they look like? Did they have any sort of weapons?"

Lilymon<They were dressed in black clothes that resisted our weaker attacks. They used guns, and the Digimon they enslaved. They also had strange machines, both flying and crawling, that they used to rain fire down on us. Our previous chief tried to fight them, but they forced him to de-digivolve somehow. They destroyed him, & downloaded his data on their machines. I saw Devimon with them.>

Biyomon:<Devimon, working with humans?>

Kylie:<Did you see any insignias or other identifying markings?>

Azuma: "Flying and crawling machines? Sounds like whoever attacked had some serious backing. Perhaps it's related to that attack on the Hypnos servers."

Lilymon<No.>

"Then I guess we should take care of that."

*When she takes a step back, all of the Toy Agumon raise their bows again.*

Lilymon<You really think you can just waltz into our home, demand information, & leave free of charge? What can you give me to convince me to spare you?>

Azuma: "Our word the ones who attacked your village will be brought to justice."

Lilymon<What good is your "word" to us?>

Azuma: "It's all we have, really. Unless someone else has a suggestion."

Lunamon:<Once this is all over, we'll help you rebuild your home, better than it was before.>

Lilymon<Again, why should we trust you?>

"Well...is there something that we can do for you now?"

Lilymon<As a matter of fact...as you can imagine, we need to gather food from around us, but the jungle is very dangerous.>

Azuma: "All right, shouldn't be an issue."

Cameron:<Why not.>

Kylie:<What should we look for?>

Lilymon<Anything edible.>

*Agumon shoots a pepper breath at a tree, which scorches the bark.*

"What are you doing?"

<So we can find our way back.>

Biyomon:<Good plan.>

Cameron:<I guess we should split up.>

Azuma: "Might want to consider a way that won't potentially start a fire. Also are there any other traps along the way we should look out for?"

Lilymon<Just be careful. Besides, it's not the traps that you should worry about, but the wild Digimon.>

"I'll swipe Snow Agumon's breath, then we can put out the fire if it starts to get out of hand."

*She does so. Euryale & Agumon head to the left of the path.*

Lilymon<If this is a ruse to burn the jungle around us, my vengeance shall be swift & bloody.>
